We stopped in for lunch and had an absolutely fantastic experience! This was actually my first time trying oysters, and I am so glad I did. The Oyster Bienville was fabulous--perfectly prepared and flavorful. ​For our main course, my husband had the French Quarter Dip and I went with the Voodoo Shrimp Po Boy. Both sandwiches were delicious and hit the spot. The atmosphere was great for a midday meal, and the service was spot on. ​We really enjoyed our lunch and are already planning to come back for dinner soon! read more

The service is horrible! We waited 30 minutes just to meet our waiter and get a glass of water. After that, the waitress came by 2 times in 2 hours! Why 2 hours you ask, 30 minutes for water, an additional 30 minutes to even get a food order in and another 45 to get our COLD food. FYI- this is at 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon when only a total of 5 tables were occupied. Oh! I almost forgot the waitress hovering over me while the "tip" screen came up during payment. They have portable POS systems to pay at the table and the waitress, MAKING IT OBVIOUS she is watching my tip amount, hovered behind me leaving me feeling I had to give a good tip amount. The bill was over $300 and i feel I would have gotten better service from McDonalds. Never again! read more

OMG. I would eat here for my last meal. Really beautifully decorated. Booths big enough for any size person. Wait staff was great. But now for the food. And sorry I missed pictures of the appetizers. Appetizers were crab claws(New Orleans style). Probably the best crab claws we've had in a long time. Only issue was not enough bread to soak up the sauce and I was told it was impolite to use a spoon. Voodoo chicken was really delicious. Main meal. Redfish Orleans was beautiful and really tasty. And side of asparagus was mighty tasty. Seafood Fettuccine was really good. Seafood pot pie was tasty and the crème brûlée sweet potatoes ought to be illegal in every state. Stopped in while in town for a volleyball tournament and this place did not disappoint! We had eaten at this restaurant in Biloxi and loved it, so when we saw there was a location in Cullman, we had to give it a try. We LOVED everything! Started with the Orleans style snow crab claws and they were so tasty. The spicy butter sauce is excellent. We wished we had more bread to sop it all up because the sauce was that good. I had the Orleans Red fish and it has the same sauce as the crab claws and I thoroughly enjoyed the fish as well as the crab and shrimp that it was topped with. Hubby had the Royal redfish which had more of a buttery cream sauce and it is served with asparagus, mashed potatoes and an additional side. He was STUFFED and could not finish it all. We both paid the up-charge for the crème brûlée sweet potatoes with honey butter and they were divine. Nothing like a side of dessert to complement your savory dish. The service was super quick for a Saturday night and the restaurant has a super cool and elegant atmosphere in an older upscale building. I wanted to follow up on a review that I gave at the beginning of the year when my wife and I went to this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. It didn't go well, and I gave a fair review. It was not a pleasant review believe me. I was contacted by one of the owners who went out of her way to make this up and she gave us dinner on them. We sat at the bar and had super service. We had the fried green tomatoes and crab cakes and an appetizer that was wonderfully. I had the Cajun Red Fish with shrimp - wow! We actually had never heard of this place and were eating there for an event. Even though it's over an hour from home, we will be coming back to eat here. It is incredible! Honestly, the seafood dishes were better than what I've had at the beach. The boudin ball- perfection. Seafood stuffed portobello was delicious. For the ridiculous prices they charge they should have their food better seasoned. My wife ordered a steak that was supposed to be smothered in something called Creole butter and the steak was completely bland. I ordered fried catfish and they were so salty that I couldn't even finish them. It's sad that I couldn't even finish them either because they were so small that normally it wouldn't have been a problem. Charging almost $20 for those little tiny so-called filets that were two bites each was also absurd. We waited over an hour for very subpar food that ended up costing $100. The only thing positive about this place was our server. She was an absolute gym and I wish I could remember her name so that I could give her her credit. OMG ten out of ten amazing! If you like oysters this is definitely the spot. They have a diverse seafood menu with amazing sides as well. The house chargrilled oysters and the voodoo shrimp are excellent appetizer options and you can't go wrong with the redfish as the main. First time since the opening a month ago. Not knowing anything about the restaurant my expectations were low. Well, we now see this as one of the best restaurants in town and the ONLY one serving excellent seafood. Plus, the service by Carla was outstanding - she was timely, polite, and knowledgable about the menu (kept us form ordering something mistakenly). We ordered Crab and Shrimp Au Gratin for starters which was very good followed by the gumbo which was excellent and a side salad that actually was loaded with tomatoes (a rarity it seems these days). My wife raved about the sweet potato creme brûlée which came with the Redfuish Au Gratin. We will definitely be back. read more

Tried this location on Saturday July 12th. The place looks amazing, especially to be in Cullman and not the Gulf. The menu is large with an outstanding variety. The drinks we had during happy hour were very very good and they didn't skimp on the alcohol. The down turn occurs when the food arrives. The portions are microscopic. The taste of our meals was good for this part of the country, but if this restaurant were on the coast, it would be average at best. The major negative is the price. The prices were way out of range for casual dining. The cost of meals and drinks for four people, would have bought dinner for 12 in Orange Beach or Gulf Shores, and the gas to get down there. We will probably go back for their Apps,gumbo and drinks. However, we will absolutely avoid the tiny overpriced entrees. This is a great date night place if someone else is paying. read more

Went for lunch on Sunday , sat at the bar and placed order at 1:30 . At 2:30 we had not received our order and informed the bartender that we were leaving. He simply said OK . In the hour we sat and waited, he never once checked on us . Don't think this is a common occurrence but on this occasion this particular bartender had very little concern. read more

Absolutely delicious! What a find. We were getting discouraged because all of the restaurants recommended to us in Cullman were closed on Sunday. Found Half Shell here on Yelp. Highly recommend. We both had the Redfish Orleans with a side of Seafood Gumbo. You can't go wrong. Very flavorful. The jalapeño hushpuppies were an added delight!
