Since we had our kiddo with us, he also mentioned that on select Saturday's the store has new free comics for kids and also gives free comics for good grades which I thought was a great incentive. You can find classics like Archie to newer titles in here. They also had a little sticker bin which was well-stocked with One Piece stickers which got my family excited. We also looked into purchasing some early reader Pokemon books while in there, but opted to wait until our next visit. Over all, the price of everything seemed reasonable and again, Jesse was very helpful and a welcoming face!

As someone who knew barely anything at all, I was a bit overwhelmed and lost while looking through their selection (which is very well presented and organized). Nick, an employee there, was so helpful in assisting me as I looked for certain titles, explaining how comic cycles work, and how their store operates. I have been here quite a few times over many years and although I love how this place went from…read morekind of dilapidated to a very cool and modern shop that has A TON of different stuff, sometimes the staff is hit or miss. Last time I was there, there was a young boy with his mom, he was looking at pokemon cards. The mom clearly didn't know much and the people at the counter did not offer any help. He wanted to look through bulk but the counter was too high. The mom gave up and just told him to look at the cards on display and pick from there. I swear if this kid could've looked through the bulk he would've had such an amazing experience! (They have good cards). Instead he walked away with a single card from the display. Kinda sad, I know lots of adults collect this stuff but we can't forget that we became obsessed with it when we were kids like him.

They have an enormous amount of inventory spanning years and years of music, and it's definitely not limited to vinyl. You'll find cassette tapes, CDs, posters, turntables, and plenty of other music-related treasures. One thing I really appreciate is that you can spend a lot of time digging through their selection. There's always the possibility of stumbling across something you weren't expecting to find, which is part of the fun. That said, I have occasionally had trouble getting help locating specific items. The staff may not always know exactly where something is, although they generally know their music and can be knowledgeable about what they carry. I've also had a few experiences over the years where certain staff members seemed to judge me based on what I was purchasing. It hasn't personally bothered me enough to stop coming, but I think it's worth mentioning for anyone who might be more sensitive to that kind of interaction. Overall, if you love music and enjoy digging, Forever Young Records is absolutely worth checking out. Ten years later, I'm still finding reasons to come back.

The staff is always friendly and helpful when I'm looking for a specific book. My daughter has also inherited a love for books and ask to come here at least once a month. And they have quite the collection, ranging from the classics, to local authors, to kids books, to trending best-sellers, to books celebrating the differently abled.
