I was just about to open the door into the restaurant across the street when the bridge lights and the plate glass at this place caught my eye. And is that Doctor Who's TARDIS at the front? Yes, I'm going to have to check this out. I'm not playing RPGs these days but back in the day, I used to be a big Dungeons and Dragons. I also did some Car Wars. So it was interesting to see the thousandth edition of the Dungeon Master's Guide on sale, so I carefully flipped through it for the memories. Lots of other games, dice, figurines, comics, magazines and the like on sale. Plus a full half of the facility is tabletop games with chairs, some of which were occupied on this Wednesday evening. Well appointed store. Lots of offerings across a lot of genres. Places for people to chat and hobby. Great location.

One of the things I proposed myself this year is to step out of my comfort zone. I die for a good basketball, paint ball, chess, a good movie. But I can't limit myself to just certain experiences. It's funny cause I was looking for some biscuits! Didn't found them and end up at this game store lol. Out of pure curiosity I decided to check it out. And they you go! Huge fun teenage flashbacks resurrected. Comics, collectibles, anime, Magic the Gathering DC & Marvel, Harlock Saga, DBZ, G.I. Joe. It shake up the dust off of memories. As I'm walking in I get stone by the hugeness of space fully loaded of vintage as well more modern entertainment. Kris, one of the store representatives very friendly introduced herself. And gave a nice quick overview of the store. I haven't even yet walk a third of the store when I was already excited. One of the things she shared with me was the different activities that take place at the store. One of them being the Friday nights gathering. Which basically are designed for ppl to have place to play and compete in different games. One of the game is "Magic The Gathering". This a table top collectible card game. I used to played a lot back in the days. And seeing it here brought me lots of joy. Josh, another store representative was telling me a bit about the different transitions that the game "Magic" have been through since 2005 (last time I play it). Again, in aw! Super helpful and didn't hesitate to share the knowledge. Which I really appreciate. Oh! Shoutout to K'la! Yup, I spelled right lol. She was very attentive and detailed. The store has an epic team I most say. The store also have a really nice section of collectibles from Tom & Jerry to "Attack on Titans"; Alphabetically organized comics, books and mangas. They aren't present in every single social platform. But you can definitely find them through Facebook and Reddit. Another thing that was very curious to me (in a good way) was that everyone was welcome the same way. Whether a fan, connoisseur, young, old, newbie or just a curious person, everybody was welcome. It definitely was a good surprise to find this place. And if you are looking for something different and fun bring your friends and family. Y'all are going to have a lot of fun. Being new to the area I had no clue this place was even here. Some of my friends didn't know either, it's apparently it's a IYKYK place. Well now you know about it and I suggest you go check it out. The selection of Manga, games, especially the Iron Man rocking the Infinity Gauntlet was amazing!! The staff were beyond helpful but if I had to say a bad thing about the place it would be that they don't sleeve all things in the cases if they are under a certain price. read more

I tried to sell some of my figures to them, all in good condition, not damaged, in original packaging, nothing wrong with them. In total all of them combined were worth over 500 dollars. They took them into the back and came back and told me best they can do is 70 dollars. I bought some of these from this place, just the ones I bought from Geek Out in total were worth more than 70 bucks, and I bet you that if I handed them over they would have charged well over what they tried to buy them for. Best place to buy comic books and just be around cool people. Staff is extremely knowledgeable especially Chandler and everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. Less welcoming than advertised on the Facebook. I'm long on time but short on friends and thought maybe a game might be in order. It's just mayhem in there and no one noticed I walked in, stood around looking for 15 mins and walked out. For my first time there, I loved it I love how they all had different varieties of cards. I was only in there for Yu-Gi-Oh cards everybody else, except for Chris was nice to me. Had lunch with the family on Old Town Burleson today and discovered this awesome comic shop next to Grumps Burgers! Seriously blown away at how much quality merchandise was packed into this small space. There is still plenty of room to shop and everything organized and easy to find. While looking around the owner was setting up a live podcast. He mentioned they have game nights and weekly live podcasts from the store. After moving to the larger space next door, Geek Out is now the second largest game store in the DFW metroplex. They have an impressive selection of figurines, comics, books, board games, trading cards, and all sorts of other geek swag. They even have a kids corner with toys and comfy chairs! The atmosphere is welcoming, the prices are moderate, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. wow this place is awsome sauce, im 13 and went to geek out just for fun with my uncle saw an ad for a youth group and then i was like wow im gonna go because ive been trying to get into dnd and it was fun it was on saturday and i had a great time and there are tons of tables on the far left of the store for games such as dnd, magic, ect. i saw loads of stuff i recommend this store immensely read more

While they might have a lot of cool stuff in their store, the owners can be really aggressive and I definitely never felt welcome to even walk in there after my first time walking in the door. They always seem nice at first but they've been really aggressive especially the guy who works the counter. It's a good place to hang out but not make eye contact with anyone. read more
