I made an exception for the ones I bought because I try to never go into a store and not buy at least one thing. Always trying to keep the indie comic places around with one book at a time. There were books everywhere, which reminded me of a scavenger hunt or finding hidden treasure. In spite of the seeming disorganized nature of the book stacks, there was a sense of purpose in how they were arranged. In my opinion, the prices seemed a little high, or maybe I'm so accustomed to paying only a few dollars for my books. Either way, I very much enjoyed my time sifting through the mountains of books. The staff member at the desk seemed personable, once engaged in conversation. He even made a great recommendation for lunch. Please don't let places like this disappear from our collective memory. After he looked at all the cards he was reluctant to give me a number. So I had to play the guessing game and just figure out what he was valuing it at. I had already done research on my cards so I knew what they were worth in my head. Well over $100. I asked him if he would trade for a $20 card and a $10 card. Making the value $30. I knew I was taking a loss but I didn't really Care, I figured I might as well trade cards I don't want for some cards I do want even if I'm taking a Loss in value. He said no way, It's impossible to get to that value, I'm valuing your cards at like $15. So I just laughed, Got on my phone and started getting screen shots of the values of all my cards So I can show him what I'm seeing. I finally get around to explaining to him the values of my cards with picture proof, And he says yeah but you're pulling that up on an app, Apps generate fake Sales too so it's not reliable. And then he said he goes off of eBay Instead. Funny thing is when you click on the links on the app it takes you to the eBay listing and it shows the price it was sold at. So I told him this is eBay, And by the way eBay is also an app. Then he just started arguing, And acting obnoxious. Saying he doesn't use apps, Blah blah blah. He also went on to say eBay is full of fake sales, but had just said he doesn't use apps, just eBay sales. I told him that everybody Uses these apps to determine the value of cards. He asked me who is everybody. I said other collectors, Other card shops. And he said are they running my business? And then he said when you order something on eBay can you get it in 30 seconds. And I said no. And he said exactly that's the benefit of retail is that you can get it in 30 seconds and not have to pay for Shipping and fees. I said OK well you're just making my point stronger than because that means people paid more than what you're saying my cards are worth not only on price, But they also paid fees and shipping. Got to the point where I just had to leave, When I got out to my car I realized I had forgotten my drink inside and went back in. When I went back in he said some smart comment to me, In front of another customer. Just more of his usual nonsense. This guy is an absolute clown, And to his question about if these other places and people are running your business, No they are not. And that's why they are bigger than you, And that's why they have more product than you when you have none. The only product you have Is what you buy at another retail store, because nobody is sending you anything. You're too small of a business. And it's probably because of how small your way of thinking is.

We're new to D&D and so it was really nice talking to the staff (who didn't make us feel dumb or a newbie). He answered our questions with eagerness and friendly. Madness has a wide variety of collector card sets, board games, and also modern action figure lines, with Star Wars and G.I. Joe as large focal points. Madness does carry some vintage Star Wars figures from the '70s/'80s but it really shines with the franchise toy lines that have come after that heyday, with deep inventory in the sequel trilogy figures, Power of the Force, post-prequel movie and streaming show figures, and the Retro Collection. This is also the place if you love the Pop! Funko figures (which I do not in the least) as Madness has definitely gone all in on the craze. I found the staff to be helpful with my questions during my visit and they gave me space to think about some items I was mulling over. Although I probably won't be a frequent visitor, I appreciate the unique offerings Madness brings, especially in creating community.

Their website has always said 2-10 days shipping and I have always gotten my shipments faster than that. When my package didn't arrive I called UPS who stated they delivered it to the local post office. The local post office told me they never received it. Both companies told me they did not have it. I called mycomicshop.com and spoke to 3 different people who all told me I couldn't ask for a refund until 10 business days after ordering. I explained that their website says 10 days not business days. They said they would change the website to state business days but refused to accept the online ordering agreement of 10 days. I was told to call back later if I wanted to speak to the owner. I called the next day and was told the owner refused to speak with me. What a joke!! You buy thousands of dollars of product and they lose your business because they won't accept they screwed up and won't even speak with u about it. I will never order from them again. the funny thing is that the book I wanted cost the same on Amazon and I would've gotten free shipping from Prime but I ordered with mycomicshop.com anyway because I always have and like to be loyal to places I shop and this is how I am repaid, great job clowns!!! I was looking for manga for my 10 yo daughter and the staff was really helpful in leading me to checkout a few series I otherwise would have never known about! His really nice car was broken beyond repair, I thought, but we brought it to Wild Bill's to get the word of an expert. The two men at the RC desk very patiently helped my grandson test each system in turn and make most of the repairs himself with their help - replacing a broken gear, adding some missing screws (including a larger one where the threads were stripped), new batteries all around, and then a cool colorful body. It looks and works like it is new again! They showed incredible patience and kindness for the 20 minutes it took to finish the repairs, and I could not possibly be more impressed. Highly recommended!

It was very frustrating, especially when you needed them to unlock a cabinet to get something. They do have an incredible selection of model kits, RC, Lionel Trains, and hobby paint and supplies; just not trains... I did purchase some items and spent more than I should have; but it wasn't worth the drive.
