Said that they closed at 7:00 even though multiple site state 7:30. Still had open sign and door unlocked at 7:19 and refused to serve me. I work until 7pm so I rushed to get here. Leaving the country in the morning so this was my last chance to get them done. read more

I gave half moon 4 stars for the welcoming, relaxing and clean environment. Jenny did my color powder nails and Lynn did my basic pedicure. It was my first time here and I enjoyed it. I was having a bad day and needed to relax so I came here. It's very relaxing. I almost fell alseep. Lynn did an awesome job messaging my legs! Thank you Lynn!! Jenny was a nice, but I'm really picky about my powder. I like the more natural overlay look on my nails. I've been looking for a new lady to do my nails since the other quit and left somewhere. I would come back due to the relaxing and clean environment. They use all new buffers and files and offers you to take it home with you. The first time I've gotten offered this. I will be coming back and maybe I can tell Jenny how I like my nails. I know I should speak up but I don't like insulting their work either. they offer a point system so that's nice also. Every dollar you spend is 1 point. Once you reach $100 you will get $10 off your next visit. I gave it 3 stars for the last time I went there. Pedicure was nice, it was my manicure. I took off my color powder as it was too thick for my taste. The lady name Ann or Ana I believe did my nails. She filed off my nails to where it was very thin and sensitive. I switched to shellac and as she was filing my nails. She cut me with the file. Painful. I flinched the first time and the second time she did it on the same spot I said "ouch" to let her know I got cut. Usually they will send you an email to rate the techs, but this time they only sent me a review for the one that did my pedicure and not the one that did my manicure. read more

They used to do an AMAZING job, but something changed within the last year or so. Now they rush, become upset when you ask then to fix something, and if someone walks in when they are almost done with you, hang it up because they are on to their next customer before you are done. There are a lot of new faces and people who don't care. I go back once maybe twice a year because of family but I would never recommend the place to anyone. There are nail shops everywhere in Katy and the price here goes up each time and the quality gets worse. It was $94 for a pink and white set, (super short barely off the tip of my finger) and pedicure. read more

White glove service at very reasonable prices. Came here with the wife and was pleasantly surprised as the level of class and service they provided. So much nicer, cleaner and overall better than the past nail places we've been to. read more

I am BEYOND amazed with this nail salon ! They did such an amazing job ! I came in for a full set and a pedicure and was taken care of by Susan and Sam . I can't even begin to describe how wonderful they did . Sam has to be one of the best people I have seen, she definitely knows what she is doing when it comes to acrylic nails and does it in half the time . Susan was very gentle and really made me feel relaxed, which for anyone who knows me they know I am very sensitive when it comes to people touching my feet . I will definitely be coming back ! Thank you for the great service! read more

Half Moon Nails & Spa - Luxury and soothing.... - Nail Salons Near Me - Katy, Texas

Atmosphere and cleanliness are good. Prices are average. My nails came out looking average and nothing special. I requested for acrylics. Unfortunately, the service is touch and go. I had a somewhat professional nail tech, but my friend did not. Her nail tech ended up giving her a hard time for asking for specific things like extension for her acrylics and new powder color, etc. It came down to the fact that the nail tech did not speak nor understood English proficiently, and instead of owning up to her lack of understanding, she gave my friend a very difficult time and also spoke about her in Vietnamese to her coworkers. I will NEVER give my business nor recommend a business who treats customers so poorly. This is a customer service-centered business, and employees that are unable to simply communicate and give moderate to excellent customer service should not be working in the industry. Lucky for them my nails came out okay....I would have given this business a 1 star at best. read more

Half Moon Nails & Spa - First timer....live the color tho... - Nail Salons Near Me - Katy, Texas

I'm new to the area, so I've been on a hunt to find a nail salon to be my go to. My sister has been here a few times for shellac and her nails look nice. I'm a dip girl but I figured they would do a good job on that too. I came on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all, maybe 3 customers. I can't remember the gentleman who did my nails but he did a horrible job. He didn't cut my cuticles even though I asked if he was going to. "I do for you later". Later never happened. The dip powder wasn't cleaned around my nail and it just looked sloppy. No massage or anything and for $40 I expect a massage with oil. Sam was able to fix and clean it up. I ended up spending double the time in there for someone to do a good job. She was nice and apologized because she knew the manicure was horrible. Salon is nice and clean but I would only let Sam do my nails. read more

Love coming here always good experience with the women but prior before this week i came about 3 weeks before and had a gentleman and got pedicure and it was not even a good one as of today i paid for the signature pedicure 10$ more no biggy but the experience was same treatment as a basic pedicure so pretty much paid 10$ more for same thing only different thing was there was scented smell so the guys here don't handle the feet the way the female do not been sexiest or anything just you can tell when more work is been done and when no work is been done read more

Got an acrylic full set done by Sam. Felt like she was annoyed and in a rush which showed in the work she did on me. She made me bleed on one of my fingers and all my fingers on the right hand have cuts because she was so rough. Wasn't the best experience for me so I won't be coming back. read more

I was visiting some family nearby for my birthday and It was my first time visiting half moon nails, it's a beautiful spot next to Walmart in Katy. I was greeted by the receptionist who asked me what I needed for the day and all I was going in for was a powder set. It seemed that they prioritized people who needed pedicures because I had to wait for about 20 minutes until someone came to start on my nails, about 5 people came in after me for pedicures. I had heard they had plenty other things to drink besides water but all I was offered was water. I'm over age and would have happily said yes to a glass of wine, but I'm not a person to ask for much so I didn't mind it. After those 20 minutes of waiting I was finally greeted by the girl who would be doing my nails, Sam, who was fairly nice but didn't speak much. I really wanted to go with a purple ombre but she wasn't too inclined into suggesting that option, and I think it's because she didn't know how to do it. So I settled for a purple coffin shaped powder set. I really felt like Sam rushed through to getting my nails done, she hurt me a little bit at times and by the end of the session one of my cuticles was bleeding a little bit. I'm not that upset but I wish she would have taken a little more time. I give it three stars because I like to feel like a queen at nail salons and this wasn't really a place for that feeling, it's as if they just do their job and that's it, passionless. Im ok with the shape and color of my nails, though the edges do need a little more covering. I paid $45. I don't think I'll be back. read more

I have been to half moon 5 times . The first 4 were Great Anna does the best eye lashes. On yesterday I called and was told to come on she would be waiting. I got there and was told Anna was off. But this other lady could do it the same. NO NO . 3 hours later and one eyelash on driving home. I called and asked for the manger. He was more concerned with saying that I did not ask for Anna. To sum it up Anna is Great . The manger was mean and uncaring. Wow. For the price I paid you could have said come back or something. So I am done. I just wanted you all to know. read more

I came to do my nails two weeks ago for my wedding. Everything went great and they were quick to sit me. Today, I came to take them off, but because it is only taking them off and not doing new manicure, I have to wait 40 minutes. Sorry, no, there are a million nail places and my time is valuable. Sorry but quality customer services in this age can make or break a customer. Will not be back. read more

Very overpriced! Deluxe pedicure is the one I got because of the massage in it, the tech literally massaged for 5 minutes. Everything is a add on. Shellac $15, plus add for powder on 2 toes 8$. They nickel and dime you to death. read more

The place is pretty nice inside and they have a decent color selection. But they are pretty expensive and I don't think it was worth it. They didn't give me a menu or I don't even think they have one because I didn't see and when I asked they just asked what I wanted. I wasn't satisfied with my nails at all. The lady that did my nails acted like she has been doing this so long that she didn't need to pay too much attention to my nails. But she kept hurting me and actually filed my nail so hard it broke the white tip under the acrylic but I didn't notice til I got home. Also my nails weren't even and I told her so she said she would fix it but they were still uneven after she barely filed them...I didn't want to keep complaining I just waited til I got home to fix them myself. I only gave them two stars for the lady that took care of my feet. read more

Really happy I stumbled upon this salon. We were immediately greeted and treated so nicely from the time we entered up until the time we left. They took their time doing our pedicures (we were there over an hour and a half) & I never felt like they were trying to rush us out the door. They were easy to understand and made sure our comfort was their priority. The atmosphere was relaxing and inviting and just an overall pleasant experience. Definitely our new go to spot! read more

My second time here, and I'm more impressed by their customer service than ever. My friend was supposed to meet me here but google maps sent her to the wrong salon in the same complex. Unfortunately, by the time we figured that out, it was too late, and people had already started on us. Wing did an amazing job on my mani/pedi, I highly recommend her. Super sweet and made my basic nail polish look like shellac. Seriously! While I was having an amazing experience at half moon, my friend was getting a terrible mani pedi at the other place. She finally met me up at half moon after she finished and told me about her horrible experience at the other place. They did a streaky paint job and got nail polish all over her cuticles. Danny, the owner, over heard our conversation, took one look at her nails and repainted them for her FOR FREE!! And he did an amazing job. I can't believe how sweet of a gesture that was. We very much appreciated it and it definitely turned my friends day around. I can't say enough good things about this place. Great customer service, clean, great workmanship, awesome color selection, the list goes on. Give this place a try! read more

This is my go to nail place. I have been a customer since they opened and have always been pleased with the service I have received. Danny cares about his salon and always does what he can to make each customer feel welcomed and taken care of. They have some great techs! I love Anna and Eva and my daughter loves Ryan. Hanna and Danny also do a great job. I'm very picky about the shape of my nails and all of these people do it right. Their color selection from regular nail polish to shellac and powder is awesome. The salon is clean and comfortable. They also have a great reward system. I believe for every $100 you spend, you get $10 off, but double check that. I always recommend an appointment, but walk-ins are welcome, you just may have to wait a bit if they're busy. If you're looking for a new place, you won't be disappointed!! read more
