I went to this place to get my nails done with my friends, i didn't know they only do dip nails, if they only know how to do dip nails they should know how to do a proper french tip nail. she cut me at least 3 times, i said after i didn't like them and the man started to gaslight me and tell me that this is what i wanted and that it was "ombre" either way i never wanted ombre. this place is awful they are rude and rush a lot, 2 days later i got cmany cracks in all of my nails, not just one, and tbey turned yellow. i don't recommend this place at all, do not go unless you want low quality nails and service. read more

I absolutely love this place! I have been getting my nails done here for 8 years. I love it so much. They take their sweet time doing your nails and they do them extremely well. I get the powder on my nails and I have gotten comments from several people that they look so natural. Julie is the one who usually does my nails and I believe she does one of the best jobs out of everyone there. Not saying the rest of them aren't good at what they do, they are! They started my nails at 3 & didn't leave till 5. Only came in for a dip acrylic nails & they came out horrible. They are so crooked & extremely lumpy. I work in a spa and choose to only use CND brand polish on my nails (they are the creators of shellsc). I do this because this brand really is a lot healthier for your nails if using a gel polish. Normally I would do my nails at work but messed them up on a Saturday afternoon and we aren't open on Sundays so I searched on CND to find a spa or salon open that has training and carries the brand. I also had my color with me but not the matching top coat or base coat. I called ahead to verify they offered CND and then drove 25 minutes to get there. I simply needed the shellac I had on removed and then re-add since I had just had a manicure but caught my finger in something and cracked one nail. First they buffed off the shellac with the machine rather than soaking and scraping (true shellac doesn't need to be buffed, so that was step one of not doing it correctly and I'm sure weakened my very strong nails). Then she pulled out another brand of base and top coat and when I asked if she had the matching brand she told me it didn't matter (it does, for any brand of gel polish not just CND). I told her I was happy to just pay for the removal if they didn't have the correct base and top coat so she finally checked with the owner who showed her where to get it and proceeded to add my polish on. Attached you can see what an awful job she did at polish. It was uneven in application, didn't reach the sides entirely or even with a straight edge and cracked and peeled 4 days later. My shellac usually lasts me 14-21 days! (Which yes is much longer than it should). I truly wasn't trying to be a difficulty guest bringing my own polish but I do know the proper way to apply this brand and they are supposed to be trained to be listed on the CND website as an official spa. Even if I had received one of their polishes I wouldn't have been happy. They were rude when I requested something specific and told me generic is all the same, at this point I'm sure they refilled the name brand bottles with whatever generic base and top coat they use. Came here to get my nails done and the price was great. Most places charge you more for free drinks and whatever else. Only spent $65 for a full set and a pedi. I've never had an issue with ingrown toenails or pain in my fingernails until I got my nails done here. I'm not sure if the clippers were sterilized but she dug under my toe nail and cut it causing me pain. Now it's grown back wrong and is probably infected. The day after my full set they were already cracking and spiderwebbed through every single nail. I don't plan on going back. If you go please make sure they sterilize the tools for you read more

Augusta does quality work at a reasonable price, just make sure you have a couple hours to spare if you are getting both a mani and pedi. I prefer powder manicures because there's no drying under uv lamps. The powder dries on its own under 5 minutes. They have a wide variety of powder colors, many quite shiny and fun. I have been doing the dip nail for a long time but It's very hard to find a technician that actual knows how to do the dip nail correct. I wasn't happy with them. I am rough on my hands considering I am a waitress so I need them to last. She cut me, they told me over the phone $25 for a pedicure but when I arrived they told me $30. Just came away with three bleeding fingers from cuticles cut too sort (OUCH!) and burns on my face from eyebrow and lip wax with wax that was too hot (OUCH!) Lots of apologies.. I had to stay home tonight. The pedicure was ok she really didn't work on the bottom of my feet for long at all. My big toes are chipped two weeks later. The manicure started off well but didn't end so well. I just started going here...so far, Tammy is my favorite tech...she's not as prone to gossiping as the others and I like that a lot (nail spas should be a haven, not a place for gossiping nail techs) on my last visit this past Friday, I got a regular mani ($15) and a signature pedi ($35 and includes a mask, scrub, hot towels, paraffin wax, and hot stones) - loved it! there were a few walk-ins while I was there and they were able to accommodate, with less than a 10 min wait...not bad right? a lot of some get the "dip" so I asked about what that was..apparently it's where they layer your nail with this gel/powder substance and it keeps your manicure in place for at least 3 weeks...it's for $30 I will definite be back and may even try the dip! read more

DIP NAILS!! They do dip nails and have soooo many colors. Most places only have a few to pick from but this place primarily does dip. Sometimes you walk right in and someone can do your nails, sometimes you have to wait 10-20 mins but they are all nice and try their best to get to you as soon as they can. I was a little disappointed how much I paid. I got powder nails and a pedicure. In total I paid $70. The service was not bad and my nails look nice but I've been to nicer salons that do beyond amazing pedicures for only $30. Also the powder red she helped me chose doesn't look red it's more like an orange and that is my biggest pet peeve when my nail color doesn't match my toes. I continue to go to this salon because it is near my house; however, the services always seem to change. Today, for example, I was there for a mani/pedi. The mani did not include cuticle oil, buffing, massaging or lotion. When I inquired as to why, the manicurist tapped my arm and started laughing! I honestly think she forgot. The quality of what took place was equally awful. I had paint on my palm, the top of my hand and my fingers. I had to ask that it be removed. The lady also tore my cuticle and caused it to bleed. Just enjoyed a pedicure here. Very nice staff and I got a lot of service for my money. They charge the same as similar location down the street, but you get more for the price - including a paraffin treatment and hot stone massage. So very relaxing and the facility was clean and neat. Ladies ever wonder what those annoying nail salon ladies are talking about? You're right, they're talking smack about you as soon as you complain. The tech made my shellac too thick so she soaked my fingers in acetone and sanded down my nails. I pulled my hands back and said it hurt. The women immediately started saying in vietnamese that I was difficult as though I have not seen my lover for a while! I played along and pretended I didn't understand because it was amusing. The next day my nails started to peel so I came in and the ladies told one another they didn't want to deal with me so they were taking turns fixing my nails so I spent an hour waiting. Bottom line: If I can't get my toes dry before I get out of the salon they will get specs of dirt and grass in them. I've been coming to Augusta for my manicure and pedicure for years. I used to work in Sugar Land and would frequently try different nail salons there out of convenience during my lunch hour and have never been as satisfied going any other place. Every time I'm here I opt for the basic manicure and pedicure which is done at a very reasonable bundle price of $35. Everyone is exceptionally courteous - I'm always offered cold water and they even have wine if you ask for it. The location is nice, the interior is welcoming and clean (although they have plenty of throne chairs for some reason) but overall it's a very nice atmosphere with nice people and lots of choices in nail polishes.
