They offer the same salad selection as Shah's down the road (based on the selection earlier this summer). I would recommend asking for their signature sauce, which is pretty hot but I enjoy it. You can sample it if you ask. Service - Local food joint, they follow any guidelines needed for takeout (as of 2020) and overall are good people. Also note they have a small sitting area of about 2 tables though there probably isn't anyone dining in here.

Period…read more I've been getting halal for around 15 years all over NY and Long Island, and Hamza has maintained its status as the most consistent in quality over the years. The original cart off Little Neck Parkway was always a go to, and we would be back and forth between Hamza and Mecca (the cart next to it) for best in town. I always felt that Mecca had the highest ceiling (when it was on, it was ON best ever). Hamza was always a steady second, but in recent years Mecca has fallen off a bit yet Hamza has remained steady. It's good to say they have additional locations too now throughout the island making them a better option then Shahs which many default to. Between the portions, the mix, the sauces, and the quality, this is the closest you can get to the top NYC street meat halal on Long Island. Consistency is key, and Hamza and Marina have maintained their high quality even through expansion. As always... extra white!

It's just annoying that you have to pay for a "local business fee" when ordered online. They justified it by saying it helps lower costs. So we pay almost 10% fee to lower our cost? Why not just not charge the fee? Really stupid so next time I'll probably just order there.

After checking their facebook I found that they do a dinner buffet on Thursdays and figured it'd be the best way to try out multiple dishes. From the moment I walked in I was met with the kindest smiles and felt like I was being treated like family. Sometimes in a small setting, I can get a little uncomfortable but here I could feel so much love and warmth that it felt like I was sitting at a big family dinner. And what a dinner it was, not only was it the comforting meal I was looking for but every dish I tried was better then the next. There were plenty of options from multiple Curry's to tandoori chicken, samosas and other apps available. Both meat eaters and vegetarians would walk away with a full heart and belly.
