This was my first visit to Halal Bros. I ordered a lamb shawarma wrap to go with chips and a drink (the "combo special"). The price was just over $11 after tax - a little pricey compared to some other options in the area. The food was good but not as flavorful as I'd hoped. The interior of the restaurant seemed very fast casual (think Chipotle). The staff was both helpful and pleasant. All in all a decent experience. First off, your food is delicious. But, I had a really rough day. I came in to pick up some to-go: I ordered Lamb Shawarma over Rice, I asked for no Onion, extra White and Red Sauce, I ordered Falafel and Hummus as well. I received my Shawarma with Onions, no extra Sauces, no Falafel, and no Hummus. On top I tipped y'all 20%! I must be the biggest idiot in the world. I called y'all and your reply was "sorry there is NOTHING we can do." Totally NOT cool dudes. Amazing amazing amazing! First of all the food is so fresh and flavorful! I've tried the Halal Bros in downtown Austin and this location beats it by far! The chicken kebab over rice was so juicy and so well marinated and the gyro over rice are a must have! The salad and pickles were so fresh, the food was delicious! One serving size lasts me 2 meals which is great value for the quality of food! Also, a huge plus is that since this location is new it is super clean and spacious! This place has the WORST customer service. I ordered through Uber eats and the restaurant put the wrong order in my bag. I called and she said I'd have to come in for a refund. I told her the entire point of using Uber eats is to not have to come in. I used it because I wasn't feeling well. I asked if they could resend the order through Uber eats they said no. I asked if they could have an employee deliver they said no. I asked if they could mail a check they said no. Then they began changing their story. First they said I could come in and they would remake it but I would have to wait or I could get a refund. Then they said I'd have to come in with the food to get a refund. I explained I wasn't feeling well and didn't want to get anyone else sick which was the entire point of using Uber eats in the first place. Then I asked to talked to a manager she said there wasn't one I said okay can I please speak to someone in charge and she said there's no one. I asked to speak to the owner she said there was no owner, which obviously makes no sense and I don't appreciate being lied to. I asked to talk to anyone regarding my complaint and she said she wasn't allowed to give out their information. I said I will leave you with my information and someone can contact me and she said she wasn't allowed to do that but really she didn't want to do that. I asked so people aren't allowed to voice any issues or complaints? Then she said they wouldn't be able to give a refund at all and to contact Uber eats. When I asked so now You're saying I cannot get a refund I have to contact Uber eats? The answers keep changing I'm very confused, SHE HUNG UP ON ME. Extremely unprofessional and didn't seem to care at all, not accommodating. They really need to stick to one answer it looks like they have no idea what they're doing or how to run a successful business. Pathetic Service: We went here on Friday for lunch. We ordered 2 chicken shawarma with Falafal which is quite regular item to order. Until placing the order everything seemed fine. But after that waiting game began. Looked like they completely lost track of order. We could see people coming long time after us getting served including our friends who came later and ordered same items as we did. Then they gave us wrong food which when we pointed out the guy started asking order receipt which we happily shared and asked him only to read & verify. The guy took back the item and said he will correct the mistake. After that also nothing happened for 15-20 minutes and we can see that they started serving other customers without even looking at us. Finally we lost patience and went to the order desk to check on status and the same guy told us that the order was not even started and/or was given to other customers. The lady on cashier counter who had earlier promised us that's we are working on order was pretending not seeing us. They were saying will need another 15-20 more minutes to prepare your order. (WTH?) Then funny part was the cook himself coming out and asking us what was our order . We were speechless by this time. Around all this time none of the person apologized even once to what was happening. Finally we gave up and cancelled our order and went to other place. The worst part was not that they mixed up the order or it was delayed but they didn't even seem to be bothered to correct their mistake or apologize for same. read more

Found this place because it's close to the ACC campus and I needed a bite before class. Came by and it immediately smelled so amazing when I walked in. Staff was friendly. Ordered a falafel wrap. Didn't take long before it came out and I'm pretty sure I ate it in under 3 minutes. HIGHLY recommended. I will be back soon to enjoy more food. read more

This place is bad, not mediocre but actually bad. First of all they messed up my order. I order a lamb gyro and they gave me a steak gyro, not to mention they actually charged me for lamb. Second the beef had a bunch of chewy fatty parts that made it a pretty bad experience. Finally their Taziki sauce was super bland. It was like deluted yogurt. They have red and white sauce which goes perfect with what food they have. I usually get the combination of lamb and chicken over rice. It's so good, that also have the original type in New York but I prefer the one over here in Texas.
