    Lamb Kabob Sandwich
    Lucy M.

I wanted stuffed grape leaves for lunch and found this place close by. I ended up having the stuffed grape leaves and a lamb kabob sandwich. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the meal came with dolmas as a side! The food was amazing. The grape leaves were nice and tender. The lamb was grilled to perfection and presented beautifully. It was the rice that stole my heart. It was as soft as a pillow! Not sticky with just enough chew to it so you knew you were eating rice. The service was on point as well.

Beef kebab platter, kofta kebab? So good!

5 stars for the food!! I couldn't get enough of the Baba Ganoush!! I would come back just for that alone! Really kind staff.

    Gyro

I hate that they changed owners. This sandwich is not the gyro that is shaved but rather frozen and placed on a grill to be heated. It has 0 flavor. I'm very disappointed. If I could give it no stars I would do just that. I don't recommend it at all.

I love finding little hole-in-the-wall restaurants and this is a good one! The inside decor is clean and well-kept. The menu is small, not overwhelming. We split the platter between 4 of us and we all loved it. The platter gives a nice variety of dishes to try. The platter comes with 3 appetizers, and we chose hummus, baba ganoush, and falafel. The falafel was some of the best I've ever had! Everything was deliciously seasoned and good. Service was a bit slow, but it appeared that there was only one person waiting tables that night, and he was very friendly. Definitely a great little find!

    Hummus

The food lacked flavors and I mean basic salt in every dish that was served. We had to add salt to everything. They served bottled water without informing us that they charge for it which we found at the time of payment when we saw a charge of $6.76 for 4 small Sams club brand water bottles. They also charged us 3.99% customer service fee for a party of 4. I have never seen any Mediterranean place which does that. The fries that came with the wraps tasted bitter as if the oil in which they were fried was not changed for weeks. I would not visit this place again.

I must say their hummus is really good. Food tastes fresh and made from scratch. It wasn't crowded for lunch time so I was surprised with slow service. Place is clean and nicely decorated.

I've been here twice and love their fattoush salad! I always add chicken shawarma for some extra protein. The lady who served me both times is so sweet and welcoming. I'll be back again.

Great food! A little slow on the wait time for food but otherwise very good. Call your order ahead instead of waiting at the restaurant.

At the same time, my alcohol tolerance is horrible and I just would not have been able to handle any wine or other drink with alcohol. Thus, I could not enjoy the specialties of this establishment. Instead, I got the chicken pesto sandwich. Although quite unassuming, the sandwich was incredibly delicious. The ciabatta bread offered just the right amount of toast and texture to hold everything. There was a sizeable chicken breast. Not dry but also not too flavorful by itself but that's okay. The pesto really delivered on the flavor with a savory, nutty, and slightly herbal flavor. In the future, I'd love to try a one of their many drinks - non-alcoholic and alcoholic included!

To name a few there's creme brulee, charcoal honey, ube, pandan...along with all the regular flavors. The pastries are good, they are average, which is still a good thing. Ham & cheese came out flaky. :) Presentation is beautiful. Sometimes I'll go there midday & there's not alot to choose from so it will prevent me from getting a snack. Charcuterie & wine is available but I haven't ordered any of those. A fun atmosphere, along the wall are built in seats with chairs on the opposite end of the table. Other seating includes table with benches (beware you can't move the benches to get in & out, if I'm wrong I apologize), then some a few tables with chairs by the windows, on the other side they do have benches facing each other with tables in between (great for groups!), & beautiful outdoor patio seating. They have a small upstairs with chairs & use wine barrels as tables. Clever! Customer service is okay, let me say that every person there has been extremely pleasant but out of the four times I've been there, only once I didn't have an issue. They seem to enough their jobs & working together, which is a green flag for any place, but sometimes they get distracted. One time I stood there & staff was chatting in the corner, a good amount of time passed before anyone noticed me. Another time, they just forgot my drink (it was the only thing in my order) & there were no other order left... the group was again chatting away with with each other, then during another visit they forgot my croissant. Each time they did apologize, but three out of four times aren't good odds. I probably won't frequent this location as much, but I will stop by once in awhile because their drinks are worth it.

This place is great, they're definitely a hit different that your other coffee places so the Black Sheep name isn't just that, which I appreciate! They do things a bit differently, like actually using crumbled pistachios on their lattes or even using a chocolate whipped cream.... That's legit! My sister got a triple chocolate frappe and it was solid! I got the Spanish latte (half sweet) I heard it was sweet, but I would probably do the normal way with and extra shot and be happy! Anyway, they way were nice, happy to answer questions after we told them we had never been there before. We didn't try any pastries or the waffles that looked absolutely fantastic! So in a return visit, which I will be making I'll have to try them! Absolutely worth stopping by or even going out of your way to check out!! I promise you it's not like the others!

I get it, this is not a place that makes things from scratch, but it wasn't anything great, wasn't anything to lose your mind over. He was very happy with his coffee though, enjoyed it for the majority of the day. He had dairy so I couldn't try it, but happy husband happy life. I had the acai bowl. It was fine. When I ordered raspberries I didn't know they were going to be frozen. I thought they were fresh. They weren't. The coconut yogurt on top seemed frozen as well, it had that weird frozen texture. They did slice some bananas in there. The only other thing was the plastic spoon they gave me. An acai bowl is dense and the spoon was bending trying to get through it. Not ideal. Coffee was actually great. We both genuinely enjoyed ours. I asked for a ceramic cup and got a paper cup instead, which I wasn't happy about because cardboard does tint the flavor. I asked for ceramic for a reason. Even with that, the coffee was still decently good, which says something. Cute place to sit. Comfortable seats, quiet atmosphere, plenty of parking around. No issues, nothing glaring. You can order from the menu without interacting with anyone, which we did, but a lady still came over to check if we needed anything, so they were accommodating too. My one aesthetic complaint is the plastic plants. As an establishment they can do better. Real plants exist. Overall I would come back. Probably not my first choice but we would return. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. If not, the stars reflect that.
