Today was my first visit to Hai and it did not disappoint. I was greeted by name when I entered the salon. I had called less than an hour before and Hai was able to get me in. The salon was very clean and welcoming. My favorite part of the pedicure was the lower leg massage. Hai used a sea salt rub and lotion and massaged my legs for 20-30 minutes. I lost track of time due to being so relaxed. Hai is very attentive and thoughtful. You are not rushed after she is done with your pedi - you can sit in the pedi chair for as long as you need to feel that your toes are totally dry. Hai is the owner/operator of the salon and has no other staff. I did not get a design this time on my toes but I did see a design that was done on another client while I was there and it was awesome. Hai is amazing. She is very sweet! She speaks good English and works alone, so you don't have to worry about the strange feeling of the unknown language between coworkers being said. The door is open for ventilation and she wants to make sure you're pleased with your service and will fix anything to make it perfect. The chairs are, of course, relaxing and most of the time, if shes not busy, she will invite you to just stay in them after your service just to rest and relax. She has such a wonderful personality. Walk ins are welcome, and she finds ways to help you out since she works on her own if she's got other clients at the time you walk in. I have gone to Hai's Nail Salon in Oak Harbor, WA for several years. She does a terrific job on feet and hands. I have also had her wonderful facials. Her salon is very clean and she is quite accommodating. Your comfort is important to her. She provides a massage chair in addition to her massages, which are great! I read a negative review she got among many positives. Though everyone has a right to their own opinion, that person, Vivien , seems to find fault with many. Hai volunteers her extra time to helping organizations that support those in need locally by making jewelry and blankets using her tip money when she could use it for herself. She is a kind person who puts others in first. I would love to see her have lots more clients. She deserves the best! read more

Hai is one of the sweetest women I have ever met. She is so accommodating and listens to exactly what you want. If something isn't exactly what you want, just BE HONEST, she will adjust as needed to give you an amazing experience. She is kind hearted and offers help in more ways than just making your nails beautiful. She likes to engage in conversation and it is impossible not to smile while hearing her talk about almost anything. Her kindness and goodness radiates from her and I highly recommend this place. My whole family came to get pedicures for my 40th birthday. I have had a hard time finding a pedicure spot on the island that I like. Two other places really damaged my feet to the point of bleeding. I read about Hai Nail Salon in the Whidbey News Times, and decided that I would try one more spot. I am so glad I did. Hai has made us feel so comfortable and at home. We will be back again. Keep in mind Hai works alone, so appointments are encouraged. Very sweet lady. Went in based on the reviews, and wasn't disappointed. Like someone said she is the only one there, so I was not bothered at all when she asked if we wanted to wait or come back since she had a client there already. We came back and she was already getting things set up for a double mani-pedi for my husband and I. When Hai gives a pedicure, she lets you know that she does NOT use razors or "cheese graters" on your heels or other calluses. The use of these items is illegal; I would never tell/or ask Hai to do this! What I get is a totally relaxing experience, pumice is used, as needed, toe nails cut and cleaned and a fabulous leg scrub with heavenly massage! I just had another great nail job done with Hai. I was surprised to see a negative review. She is the sole owner and yes, she does have to eat her lunch there at her shop. I don't see that as a negative. She wants to be available for walk in customers. I travel quite a bit and am always happy when I can some home and have my nails done by Hai. My pedicures last more than any other and she is right here on Whidbey Island. Cleanliness is very important to her and I appreciate that. Thank you Hai for many years of great nails! read more

After having some less than great experiences at a couple other nail salons in Oak Harbor, I decided to try Hai. I am so glad that I did as I was extremely happy with the gelish mani and pedi that I received from her. My nails look great... She did several coats, but it wasn't too thick. Hai is a very warm and welcoming gal and does top notch work! She is a perfectionist and always asked for my opinion before proceeding with the rest of my nails. I was lucky enough to walk in and be able to get a mani/pedi right then and there but in the future, I will call to schedule as it is just her there. Hai is such a breath of fresh air. My husband and I scheduled and visited today for a Manicure and Pedicure and we had a wonderful experience. I went here to see if they could help me with my nails. I went to a salon about a month back to have gels removed. Well, they removed them along with most of my own nails. I asked if they could do anything and she said not really until my nails regrew. She could have done like the other place and just taken my money with no real result but instead she gave me tips on how to get through this nail disaster and help protect what I did have left. Ms. Hai was so welcoming from the second I walked into the salon. It's a perfect quaint little place with a couple chairs so you really get personal service. Hai was great. She was so personal and present. CALL and book APPT if you think you are going to visit. She is self-employed and booking an appointment helps make her keep her wait times low. My sister and I didn't wait at all. She made us feel comfortable and made suggestions. Prices were totally reasonable. Just had my first pedicure with Hai, but it certainly won't be my last! Hai Nails is wonderful! The massage before the pedicure is very excellently done. The owner is very friendly and fun to talk with while getting your nails done. I have been a customer for 7 years. I go to Hai's for manicures, pedicures, and waxing. She does the best job in town and she is so gentle with your nails. She convinced me to stop getting acrylic nails and my nails are just lovely now. I love my gel nails. Hai is the only person I will allow to wax my eyebrows.
