I have been going to Hairsay Spalon for a few years. I was dying my hair auburn but the gray was showing through every few weeks. So I decided to get it professionally done, transitioning eventually to the blonde I wanted. It's a process. You have to go through stages of lightening the hair so it's not ruined. I went to an orangey blond for a while. No, I didn't like it but that's the process. The next stage was more blonde but not quite there yet. The third stage was the perfect shade of blonde. Now it's just simple dye and cut for me. Swaunee is the owner and cuts my hair on request with no problem. Love this salon and will be a customer for life. read more

Horrible hair stylist. Went in for ash blonde and came out gold. Went back to have it "corrected "and she still couldn't get it right. She told me it was due to the lighting in the building . It's been over a month and my hair is still gold and over bleached. Hard to believe it's due to "lighting" . Don't waste your money here unless you want to look like trash. read more

I went in for sandy blonde which I have had numerous times at other salons for decades. I do have more grey in my hair so I do understand color will take differently but to let someone walk out of your salon with my hair looking like a brass ball and not even try to fix it. My husband paid $275. I do like the cut though. Next day I went to another salon to have a dark brown put into my hair to cover up their mess. Called salon asked for owner. Was told owner was on her days off but would call me. She did call me and told me she would call me and work me in on Tuesday. It was Sat/Sun this all took place. Come Tuesday I take day off for her to fix my hair never received call. It's now Thursday still no call. I would NEVER recommend this studio. read more

After major disappointment at another salon I followed a recommendation and went to see Chelsea at Hair'Say. I'm so grateful. She is an EXPERT colorist and specializes at fixing other peoples mess ups. I've had 4 visits with her and she never lets me down. She consistently does amazing color and trim and I'm so happy. She listens to what I want and takes her time carefully explaining what is realistic. She is the best stylist I've found in a very long time! read more

I went in here a few months ago and I believe I was with June. She did an amazing job, seemed very knowledgeable about my curls, and she even let me run the show with how I wanted it styled. I would so recommend her. And it was a decent price. (I think I paid a total of $35 for a deep conditioning and a hair cut. That would be over $50-60 elsewhere) read more

I never write bad reviews especially after coming here a few times. The last time I went, I asked for just a cleanup of the ends. Sharon was very nice but completely messed up my hair and cut it super uneven and choppy. There's strands that are an inch longer than the rest... I did not get a blow dry so when it dried at home, I realized how bad it was. the store declined a refund because I "left with my hair wet" but it shouldn't have been cut uneven in the first place. I have never had a worse experience dealing with an owner. Julie, the owner, is absolutely unapologetic that her stylist completely wrecked my hair. The issue is that there was no sympathy, so much time wasted trying to figure out this issue, and no positive result or action taken. After my incident where Debbie cut off more than 3 inches more than what I asked for, I brought the issue to the owner and she asked several questions, very time consuming, and brought up how people scam in this industry to get a free hair cut. I don't give a damn about a $30 refund. What I was hoping for was at least an apology and some sympathy. She questioned my honesty, had me send several photos of proof, and said they can't do anything for me unless I want to drive hours back to the salon to TALK about the issue. I live hours away and kept telling her this is not worth it and I can't drive hours to literally sit and talk about what happened and probably get no result. I got a haircut with Debbie. I told her I wanted a cut to a certain length with layers about 3 inches below my collar bone about where my armpit is. I asked her how many inches that would be and she said about 9 inches taken off. I asked her to measure it and told her just make it 10 inches because I wanted to donate or sell my hair and it's better to have it at 10 inches. The length was ok at 10 inches (It was really more than 10 when I measured at home it was more than 11inches!!) but she still did not even ask if that was ok before she cut the pony tails. Normally hair stylists will make sure it's ok with the client before chopping off a whole lot of hair. The issue came when she began cutting off even more all over the which seemed unnecessary except where there were layers. My hair now falls the longest right at my shoulders. 3 inches makes a huge difference. My hair is WAY shorter than I asked for and I told her I wanted long layers and they are pretty short. This is a very shocking change and I am really unhappy with my cut. It really is such a slash to my confidence. It was hard for me to tell at the salon so I paid and waited a day to still see if I hated it. I told Debbie wow it's really short but didn't want to get upset until I got home and styled it myself and slept on it. I measured the hair I took to donate and it's 11 Inches so this is more than I asked for in addition to the few extra inches she cut to make it an even style. I know there is not much that can be done but I wanted to let the salon know that I am very sad that I had such a devastating cut. 3 inches will take several months to grow back and I have many events coming up that I wanted my hair a certain length. I also cannot put it in a bun without it falling out which is a huge inconvenience because I wear buns all the time. Now I have to spend a few hundred dollars to get extensions so my confidence won't be so wrecked for my wedding coming up. She said she has to be fair and not take my side or the stylist side and there is "nothing I can do for you." Wow. No apology, no sympathy. I don't need anyone to take sides, even though I have several photos of proof of what went wrong. Julie should have been apologetic even if it wasn't the salons fault she could have said I am sorry you are going through this and you don't like your cut etc. she was very accusatory and rude on the phone. I can think of countless ways she could have made this issue better and she literally did nothing but make me cry on the phone and spend over an hour trying to resolve this issue through email and phone call proof just to get nowhere. I have never been so disappointed in how a place is run and dealing with the owner. This place is a nightmare. Julie has made this experience miserable for me. She always said things like "it's too bad you don't like your haircut," "10 inches is an extreme change" and talked to me like I didn't know what I asked for when I damn sure do. I now am left with a horrible cut that I hate and will take months to grow back to how I originally asked and a completely bitter experience dealing with the owner. This is the worst experience i have ever had in this setting. Extremely shocked how the owner did not take any action and had no sympathy for the terrible job her stylist did. read more

Only because I have to give it something. In all my 50 years of getting my hair colored, this is the most unprofessional & worst place to go. I see other peoples reviews & see stars - they must not have had their hair colored! Or the people that did their hair left. I must have said at least 50 times - no red or no orange! I walked out $95 less with red, brown & frizzy hair. The colors faded in a couple weeks to gray, orange, brown, & pieces of blonde. The worst! We all know if our hair feels & looks good we feel so much better & have more confidence. Debbie had no idea what she was doing. The rest of the staff came over & no one knew what to do. The owner was supposedly on vacation for 2 weeks & I asked them for her to call me back & tried calling a couple times with no response for over a month. Not for a refund, only to tell her how her place was being run. Over a month & no response. So I am assuming she does not care about her business. I would not waste $1 on this place! read more

We had a wedding party in to have our hair done for a wedding. Bridesmaids had updos and bride had partially up... Two of the bridesmaids (I was one of them) had horrible hair styles... I have naturally curly hair and my stylist maid it look disgusting. But worst of all our bride was in tears because her hair was so bad.... they did work to make it better for her but there was no time to fix mine...
