Quality was ok but I made two appointments - one for each child- and they weren't honored. 45 minutes of waiting on a weekend for an appt you've booked because you've got no other time available to take a child for a hair cut isn't acceptable. Had to ask for a shampoo even though I paid for it. I had to ask for the hairdresser to clean up my ends and she seemed really angry. I didn't even require a blow dry. Worst customer service ever with this particular hairdresser. I will be decent and not mention her name. Plus bad haircut; no movement. I'm saddened to say I will not be returning. After getting my eyebrows waxed I wasn't notified of being burned or even offered a mirror to look at my eyebrows. Now I know why. It wasn't til I was in my vehicle when I looked and saw it was more than just a normal irritation after getting eyebrows waxed. This is not okay. I would've been okay with it if it was brought to my attention honestly while I was there and apologized for this happening. I was not informed whatsoever. read more

Welp all good things come to an end unfortunately. Toni the hairstylist that cut my hair before is gone. I decided to jump in again for another person to give me a nice trim. I made an appointment on the app for one of the 'experienced' techs which was a little more costly but because my hair is so dry and brittle i decided it didn't matter the cost because my hair looked terrible. Welp I told the stylist I wanted ALL the dead ends cut off. I didn't care how much she cut off because my dry ends looked a mess!!! As usual I explain I HATE LAYERS and I simply wanted my ends clipped. She cuts about and inch and when she is done she says 'if that didn't help you can always come back and get more cut off' Wait what??? I clearly explained to cut off ALL of the dead ends. Mistake number one. Mistake number 2 is when my hair dried I noticed she cut my ends in layers! WTF? Was she drunk? Was she dyslexic thinking to do everything the exact OPPOSITE of what I said? Needless to say.... my ends are still dry and now they look like trash because of these ugly layer. My ponytail is choppy and so are my ends. I will never come back and wish I knew where Toni went. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. First experience was nice and made me think maybe the other reviewers were being harsh but as time went on I can see why the majority is unhappy. We always came to see Lea and at first she was nice but as time went on she consistently had us wait longer and longer for an appointment. Prices became inconsistent, I was either paying $14, $20 or $27. It's the same child's trim so I don't see the reason for the constant price change. The front desk is incredibly rude as if we are doing them a disservice by calling. I was willing to overlook all of this as she was personable with my son however the last visit was my last straw. We scheduled an appointment days in advance and when we arrived she was mid perm. I waited thinking she may cut my sons hair between the perm developing but nope - waited 45 mins pass my appointment time and nothing - no apology for a possible scheduling mishap, no acknowledgment of us waiting there - nothing. She even took a cigarette break while her client was sitting with the perm instead of saying hi to us or doing a quick buzz on my son's hair. I ended up leaving and going to another salon. While there I did ask the front desk if she will see us and the girls response verbatim was "it's not my problem what Lea does". Please take your time and money so where else. read more

My only complaint is the wait time. My wait was about an hour. The stylist washed me while also waiting for someone else's color to process. Overall I got there a little before 5pm, got washed around 6pm, and didn't leave until after 9pm. My services were a wash, blow dry, flat iron. The stylist did a nice job but if she could work a little quicker that would help. read more

Went to have my ponytail cut and go for a classic, short cut just above the shoulders as my hair had grown out. The wait was ridiculous and the stylist was SO slow. Upon arriving home, I noticed my hair was uneven. Not just slightly , BUT UNEVEN IN TERMS THAT THERE WAS ALMOST A 2 INCH DIFFERENCE IN LENGTH FROM THE RIGHT SIDE TO THE LEFT. I had to go somewhere else and get it evened out. I have straight, average hair. Not a hard cut. I am INCREDIBLY disappointed. Will NEVER return. this place is very rude. I work with adults with disabilities and took him there to get a shave. The stylist kept asking me what i wanted for him. So i would tell her to ask him as he was saying i want all my face hair gone. then upon checking out he walked up to the register and it wasnt his turn, the lady put her finger up and said you need to wait. I kept calm to make sure he stayed calm however that is not a place for me or anyone else to go to. read more

I called the day before to make an appointment as I wanted a perm. This is something I had not had done in 20 years. I was told I could call the next morning as there were no appointments available. I called as soon as they opened to ask to be put on the list as I was 45 minutes away. Upon arrival, I put my daughter on the waiting list and waited an additional 20 minutes to be seen. My daughter arrived 25 minutes later and I let her know that she had been put on the list.. her wait shouldn't be long. She was in for full highlights and cut. 3 hours later she still hadn't been called. A family came in with two small children saying the children needed haircuts because they had school starting and the District of Columbia tomorrow. One woman was falling asleep in the waiting area so she was taken ...all before my daughter with no appointments.. my stylist with polite and try to make lite conversation. She informed me that my hair could be washed the following day. I told her that wasn't customary with perms but not having one in 20 years I'm sure the formula had changed. My charge was $89. I purchase a promotion item that came with a free gift. Additional $9.99, They were out of the free promotional gift and when I asked what we were going to do about... (rain check) the stylist and another employee stood in complete silence and just stared at me. I voiced my disappointment and concerns before leaving the building. I was offered no numbers to management nor was management available to talk to. You guessed it! I shampooed my hair the next day to have straight hair... Was random kinks here and there.... I feel I should have received a refund or at least my daughter should have been offered an appointment or a phone to address concerns....as of today's date none of the above has happened. My stylist moved out of state. So the hunt is on for a new stylist. My schedule is also very tight, with work, classes, etc. and couldn't afford to wait 30 minutes or more for a cut. So, I called in the A.M. to set an appointment and told the lady that answered as much. She said she had me down, no problem and my appointment was set. I showed up at 5:30 and a lady asked me if she could help me. I recognized her voice. She was the same lady I had spoken to that morning. I told her about my appointment. She typed something in the computer and said, "Your in, have a seat" and walked back to her customer. I sat down and then it hit what she said, so i asked her what she meant by "Your In", did she just put me in the system? She said yes. I explained to her that I set an appointment in the a.m. because I was pressed for time and couldn't wait. She said it didn't matter, someone would be with me in a minute and she went back to her customer. Watching, it looked as if there were only two stylists in. One lady paid, the stylist cleaned her station and I thought she was prepping for me, but a minute later, another customer comes from the corner and sits down. There were three other customers and it didn't look like it would be a few minutes, but I did wait a little while until I was forced to walked out at a few minutes to 6 and I was boiling mad. Turns out, according to this stylist, that unless you have a stylist, they don't take appointments. They put you into the system and get to you when they can. What makes me boil is that I told her that I couldn't sit and wait. She should have told me that a.m. that she couldn't set an appointment. This would have given me the time to call another salon for a set appointment. This was a very unprofessional and deceptive thing to do. I will never go to another Hair Cuttery again.
