We drive out of our way for son to get his hair cut here. The barbers are on time (there's no wait), they do a great job and the environment is pleasant, uncluttered and clean. Henry has cut son's hair for years although we started out with the owner. Son's haircuts always look great. read more

Was looking for a new barber shop to get my sons' haircut and came across Groomed by Haye thanks to Yelp. Henry did a great job on my older son's hair that my youngest decided he wanted the same cut a week later! Can't beat the price here, especially for the time put into each haircut. While you wait, you can lounge in one of their chairs while watching TV, sipping on some coffee, or just relaxing. Overall great experience here. Will definitely be back. read more

Great service, fantastic haircut. I have tried several barbers in the area and just couldn't get the cut I wanted until I stopped in on a whim. Highly recommended! read more

Needed a last minute appointment for my son before our spring break trip and we were able to get squeezed in within 15 mins of me calling. Very professional and clean with great service provided. My son loved his haircut and will be back. read more

Excellent barber. Listens to his clients I love my cut. Neat and classy just what I wanted.

I've been following GBH for awhile as my son began approaching his 2nd birthday. Our sons first cut was done by another barber who became unresponsive to scheduling appointments. I remembered I followed the on IG. We visited GBH for our son who LOATHES haircuts and has some sensory processing needs. First, the atmosphere is superb. The shop is clean, ambient music, not too much traffic (I assume due to COVID they do one in one out). The owner, was incredibly understanding and patient as we had to employ several different techniques to keep our son calm. He was friendly and also incredibly reassuring to us as parents because we felt bad that it took a lot to get our son settled. He has some great products including ones I buy at my salon in Rockville so I'll be purchasing! Definitely recommend. read more

I have been cutting my hair with Henry for about a little over a year now and I most say he's really good at what he does. Very detailed; and asks questions as he goes to make sure you're happy with the outcome. The shop itself has a very calm and relaxing vibe, and their prices are fair for the service and cuts they deliver. Would definitely recommend! read more

Orville and his team are an outstanding group of grooming specialists that really take the time to service their clients' individual needs. I've been getting my haircut here for over a year, and besides the exemplary service that I receive from Mr. Haye each time---I've observed his staff maintain a level of precision, professionalism, and overall care that isn't common in a barbering studio. After leaving, the time spent at this barbershop feels more like a spa experience than just a haircut. BOOK AN APPOINTMENT IMMEDIATELY....YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED! read more

Great hospitable environment. Skilled stylists and they know what they are doing and do it well ! I will be coming back for sure. read more

This place is awesome. It's like an oasis tucked in the corner and only those with the inside scoop know about it so I'm letting the secret out! I'm very particular about who does my hair and I have found a great crew. I always leave looking better than when I came. The Master Barber is Mr. Haye. Sai "Precision" Perryman is the Cosmo Barber. "B" the apprentice is only that in name. I have been coming here for over a year now and I have traveled as far 1.5 hours to get here because the experience is great and the service is phenomenal. The salon is always clean and they sweep after every client. It's a clam restorative vibe with friendly banter for conversation. Nice music played in the background doesn't overpower the mood and only enhances the atmosphere. If you haven't been here you are missing out! read more

Mr Haye has been cutting my son's hair for about a year. He's professional, knowledgeable and punctual, which is what I like the most. We never left with any disappointments and he continues to keep us satisfied ! I would surely recommend him and anyone in the shop! Mr. Haye asked when would I let Saicha twist my natural hair so I decided to giver her a try. I've always worn my natural hair in a pretty basic style. I asked Saicha for two strand twist but was unsure of a style. She came up with an idea and I let her do her thing! She came up with a style with flat twists into an updo with loose two strand twists. She completely shocked me and amazed me. Her style was trendy and cute and out of my norm. I've getting the highest praises all week on my hair! I'll definitely be going back! Thanks!! read more

Orville is a master at his craft. This was my first time at his shop and I couldn't be happier. Despite me having to cancel (twice!) due to work he was happy to accommodate and helped me find a time that worked. He checked my temperature at the door and wore a mask the whole time. The grooming experience itself was fantastic, and I walked out with exactly the look I was hoping for. read more

After finding her on Instagram, I had a great first appointment today with Saicha. I was very pleased with the haircut and beard trim. She took her time and was very easy to talk to. She made sure to understand exactly what I wanted with the shape of the beard before going to work on it which I really appreciated since the last place I went set me back several months. The shop, Groomed by Haye, is a little hidden but that only makes it a hidden gem; It is definitely worth the trip. You can see more of Saicha's work on Instagram @samurai_sai. read more

Groomed by Haye is my new barbershop and should be yours too. Look nowhere else. Been looking for a barber for a while since Im very picky when it comes to my haircuts but I must say Saicha did an excellent job and I will definitely be returning. Great location and shop is nice and kept clean. Staff was very welcoming as soon as I walked in. Shampoo was included with my cut which was perfect. Theyve definitely found the secret formula at Groomed by Haye read more

Groomed by Haye is definately a cut above the rest(no pun intended) the crew here is knowledgeable, easy going, down-to-earth, and make you feel at home. I saw Saicha (whom they call "blade master") today and I left with a smile and my hair feeling blessed by someone who actually cares about the health of my hair. I have locs and went in for a "simple"retwist and I will say it was the best experience in a shop I've ever had. Saicha took her time and explained her process. She made sure I was comfortable and was very attentive to me. I highly recommend saicha for loc retwists but she is so versatile as well and very reasonably priced for the care and attention she gives! The shop itself is located in the heart of Gaithersburg, they play smooth jazz, and when I was waiting and while I was getting my hair done I was offered chips and a drink! Who does this!!! They make getting your hair done sexy and sophisticated! I will definately be back! read more

5 star rating. No questions asked. My experience from start to finish was unlike anything I've ever experienced at a barbershop. Right away I was welcomed kindly and offered a drink. The barbershop is well lit, clean, comfortable and modern. I worked with Lex. He was knowledgeable, patient and most importantly gave a damn good cut. BEST barbershop I've ever been to hands down. read more

I came across this place, as a recommendation from Reddit. I was able to make an appointment the same day with Lex (via their website), and it was a pleasant experience from the minute I walked in. Lex and the owner Orville welcomed me as I came through the door, and it was great conversation from the beginning. Even offering me a drink. Lex was able to get me in right away, and he did an excellent job on my hair. He asked me lots of questions, and really helped guide me in the right direction. I was happy, because I was looking for a new place just like this, close to my house. The place has a really cool vibe too, reminds you of a modern style barber shop, plus the prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend you giving it a shot, especially if you are looking to go in a new direction, or if you're trying to find a new location. read more

The place is lovely. Saicha did an amazing job with my natural hair. The blow dry and press lasted two weeks, no reverting AND after my wash, the curls came back strong. #Noheatdamage read more

This shop is tucked away but most definitely a hidden gem. Lex did my haircut and did not disappoint. He did exactly as I said and really listened to my concerns. I found my new barber for sure . Mr. Haye is incredibly skilled at his craft and also very easy to talk to which is the perfect combination for a barber! His shop is clean and he offers snacks and beverages to waiting customers. Groomed by Haye - Faded sides and back and shape up - Barbers Near Me - Gaithersburg, Maryland

This places is great, had been going to the same barber for about 9 years. one day he was out of town when I was in a desperate need of a haircut so I hit up this barber shop and it is safe to say I'm not going back to my old barber. Alexis was the one who cut my hair and his attention to detail is on point, gives you a very relaxing experience while cutting your hair and leaves your hair exactly how you ask for it. Not to mention how clean the shop is. Def recommend this place. read more

I'd give them extra stars if I could. I used to be one of those classic guys that didn't care where they got their hair cut. I'd just go to any barber shop nearby every few weeks, never really coming out totally satisfied afterwards but never really upset because it was cheap and "it's just hair, it'll grow back". But after seeing a coworker CONSISTENTLY come in with perfect fades and beard work, I asked where he got his hair cut and he mentioned Lex's name. So I made an appointment at Groomed and after just one time I knew I had found my spot. I've only been cut by Lex and the dude is personable, knowledgeable about different styles, makes great recommendations, and has skills beyond his years because he's constantly learning and training. But I've been there and watched Sai and Haye work too and it's clear the whole group is extremely talented, serious about their craft, and I would feel comfortable booking with either of them too. The group posts a lot of their work on ig and it's perfect cuts every time. And on top of that they all make the environment super comfortable, chill, and inviting. When I first went I lived locally, but have since moved about 45 minutes away and still make the trip because it's that worth it. If you're looking for the best cut you've had and a new permanent go-to spot, check out Groomed. You won't be disappointed. read more

It was my first time coming to this shop and Alexis (Lex) was my barber, he was super skilled and personable. The service and atmosphere was great and it was a great experience all around. NOTE: It is on the backside of the building. I went in the wrong place at first. read more

By coincidence this shop is very close to where I used to live, and I only just tried it for the first time. Good atmosphere, not the loud sports on the television sort of place. I got the best haircut I've had in years along with a shape and trim of my beard. I couldn't be happier with the staff and with my cut, I'll be going back. read more

I just moved here yesterday and found this shop. By far the best cut and beard trim I have had done by Boanerges. Great relaxed atmosphere with friendly talented barbers. I recommend this place and will deff be back. read more

Orville Haye and his team are tucked away in a Gaithersburg side street, but it's well worth your time to find him. I had to get my beard completely trimmed and reshaped for a job interview, and Orville didn't let me down. He takes things step by step, checks for input, doesn't rush, and clearly knows what he's doing around a beard (one need only look at his own impressive beard!) Highly recommended. I'll be going back to him for beard maintenance. read more

Mr. Haye does excellent work. The shop is always clean, and he takes great care of his equipment. I have had great experiences with all of my cuts. Mr. Haye is professional, friendly, and truly talented at his craft. He will take extra time to consult you on your first visit, and he applies any feedback to his process. I truly recommend his service. read more

I went to the shop for the first time on 11/29. I went on Orville's IG page to see his work. I'm bald but have a beard so I've been looking for someone that can do exactly what I asked for. Orville is a very down to earth person upon meeting him. He listened to exactly how I wanted my beard. My beard looked great!!! I got lots of compliments on social media. My wife loved it as well!! It's safe to say that Orville will be my barber from now on! He also explained other services they provide. A couple of days later, I scheduled the full beard treatment. A very laidback spot to get you looking good! read more

Great Barber....Best one i've had. He can cut any type of hair. For my hair i need it a shaped up but need it faded because of my hair texture because I have straight hair. I can't go to those Asian barber shops or the hair cuttery because they cant give you a shape up or if they try mess your hairline up. I cant go to a black barber because they can't cut my hair type and cant fade me right and cant use scissors but they can give me shape up.Orville can do both. A lot of barbers can't use scissors and he can use those and clippers. He also uses a straight razor to clean you up. Really polite and respectful and listens to every detail you ask him for your cut. read more

First, I would like to say that this establishment makes you feel welcomed when you enter, is staffed with professionals and has a diverse atmosphere. I would like to recommend Mrs. Saicha Perryman as a barber and stylist! She is patient and attentive to the needs of her clientele, and when your done with your cuts, it will be on "fiya". A great to keep your grooming on point! read more

Just started going here around September and could not be happier with the results. Lex and the rest of the barbers know exactly what they're doing and make you feel right at home. I'm real picky when it comes to my cuts and finding someone who gets it right every time is very important to me. After your cut you have the option of having your photo taken and the chance of being featured on their instagram page, which I thought was really cool and shows how serious they take their work. Never a dull moment or a bad cut in this barber shop. read more

This is a real barber shop and salon. Not your run of the mill Hair Cuttery. Appointments recommended. Good price ($20 men regular cuts). And they accepted credit card which I really appreciated. read more

I moved from New York almost 5 years ago and it took me almost 2 years to find a consistent barber (Alexis Paulines) because I'm so picky. When we first started out I would get my haircut at his house but now that he started working at Groomed, I followed him there even though it was further from my house and the price increase. Once you get into a repertoire with him, you won't regret paying the extra money. read more

I've been coming here to get my haircut for since this last spring. I had been on the search for a good barber since my last couple haircuts were mediocre at best. It's different here. Orville takes his time when cutting hair. I have never had a bad cut from him. The atmosphere here is very relaxed. Soft music in the background. There's a TV if you want to watch the news or if there's a game on. Friendly back and forth banter with the customers and Orville about sports, current events, life is always welcome. I've also started taking my 2 year old son here and Orville has been great with him as well. If you're looking for a family friendly, fun barber that takes his time and has you coming out of there looking like a champ, look no further. They take credit cards and you can book an appointment using the StyleSeat App. Appointments recommended if you want to make sure the time slot you want is available. read more

Have been to a lot of barbers but never in my life have I made an appointment (that was confirmed almost a week in advance) and then showed up to a locked, empty barbershop. I waited 20 mins in the bitter cold trying to reach him to no avail. It's clear that his customers and their time are not respected. When running a business that serves people, talent is nothing without basic respect for people. I know people who have had similar experiences. Don't waste your time. read more

I am without words honestly. The environment you come into when you walk though those doors is as if your with your closest friends. The service is outstanding it's completely amazing I cannot complain at all. The environment and vibe you get makes you wanna come and be excited to come back. I believe in what this barbershop represents which is respect, humbleness, harmony, everything that a good company should represent to the public. Seeing how this company is and the service that is given it make me want to do the same for my company and I take inspiration from this company and the relationships they create with their customers to do the same for my company. This is definitely the best, not only barbershop, but the best company I have ever associated with. Definitely go check them out not only do they create a relationship with the customer but they also take their time and truly put detail into what they do when they cut your hair. Definitely recommend please go check them out and show them love. read more
