I have been trying to find a good stylist in Maryland for about three years. I tried this place…read morebecause of its affiliation with Aveda. Beth was my stylist, and I thought she did a pretty good job, so I wanted to go back to see if her work would be consistent. By the time I called to schedule another appointment, the person who answered the phone said Beth didn't work there anymore. I asked for an appointment with someone else on a Saturday. I don't remember the name of the person with whom the appointment was made, but it was for a Saturday (scheduled two weeks in advance) for 11 a.m. The day of the appointment, I had to rush to get there at 11:00 and walked in and sat down in a chair in front of the counter at 11:04. At this time, there was no one behind the counter, and there was a young lady giving a gentleman a haircut in the far right corner of the salon. I sat there for 20 minutes, and the girl who was working the counter passed by me twice without saying a word. Finally, the girl who was cutting hair looked in my direction and asked, "How are you?" I smiled and said "good" and kept waiting. By 11:40, no one had said anything else. At 11:45, the girl who was supposed to be working the counter was standing next to the stylist while she was still working on the gentleman's hair, and they were talking to each other. I had to interrupt their conversation to walk over to them and say, "Excuse me, but I didn't realize I would have to wait 45 minutes for an appointment, and I don't have time to wait anymore, especially since I have no idea how long it will be." The counter girl said, "Would you like to reschedule?" I said, "No, I certainly would not" and walked out. I understand that hair appointments run late sometimes, but at least have the customer service skills to acknowledge my presence in the place and the courteousness to inform me how long the wait will be. It's obvious this business is not interested in customer service, and I will not be back.

All I can say is WOW!…read more I got a horrible haircut in January and I really couldn't take it anymore. I wanted someone ANYONE to help me and just fix the mess and after checking out the most recent reviews and seeing they take last minute appointments AND were open on a Monday I quickly scheduled an appointment and was taken when I arrived. A younger girl with glasses took me to her station asked me what was the problem or what I wanted and took me to have my hair washed. She was super friendly, super understanding and as nervous as I was, she totally understood what my issue was. When I am nervous, I talk and talk and talk and she did not make it uncomfortable for me. Wonderful experience equally as wonderful haircut and my hair smells so delicious. It wasn't until I got home, but I saw I had a coupon for products. I definitely will be back and will make sure to buy some of the products that made my hair smell so good.

I was impressed that when making the appointment they were able to recommend a stylist with a good background in color. Sabrina was very sweet, she did a great job with my highlights and cut. My hair is damaged and she was very careful to minimize further damage. The salon doesn't look like much from the outside but it is is bright and nicely equipped and decorated on the inside. All the stylists seemed to get along well and there was a cheerful vibe. It was very busy and the stylist knew most of their customers by name. The cost was about what you would expect for a cut and highlights. I would recommend giving them a try. Unlike my calls to some other local salons, this one seemed to want my business and cared that I received the best service possible.
