I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my experience at Dash In at approximately 9:00…read morea.m. today. I stopped in to purchase gas and order chicken wings. While waiting for my food, I observed the cook, Shelby, wearing gloves while sweeping the floor. Without changing those gloves, she then picked up the chicken basket that would be used to prepare my order. I immediately asked her to please change her gloves before making my food. Shelby responded, "Oh, I was going to," but by that point she had already touched the basket with the same gloves she had used while sweeping. She then briefly washed her hands, put on a new pair of gloves, and prepared my order. However, the situation left me very concerned about the food safety practices being followed. Proper glove changes are essential to prevent cross-contamination, and customers should not have to remind employees to follow basic food-handling procedures. In addition, I ordered two different wing flavors, but both orders tasted the same and only had a sweet honey flavor, which was disappointing and not what I ordered. I also had an unpleasant interaction with another employee, Ruth. After paying for my food, I realized I had forgotten to get a drink, so I went to the register to purchase one. While I was holding the receipt for my food, Ruth looked at me in a way that made me feel as though she suspected I was trying to steal my order. I explained that my food had already been paid for, and although she completed the transaction, the interaction left me feeling judged and uncomfortable. Overall, I was disappointed by both the food safety concerns and the customer service I received. I hope this complaint is taken seriously and that additional training is provided to ensure employees follow proper food-handling procedures and treat all customers with professionalism and respect. Thank you for taking the time to review my concerns. I would appreciate a response regarding the actions that will be taken to address this matter.

I was going to hold on the fuel for my vehicle because there was another location up the road that I would be able to get my fuel at. I pulled in to this location, which was so confusing to get to, and ran inside. I needed to use the facilities on top of grabbing a drink. I don't know what it is about Wawa's and their bathrooms, but they are always the worst part of any location. It's like customers go in them and see if they can outdo one another in hopes of destroying the bathroom. Once I was done in there, I made my way out to the drink area only to find disappointment. This location did not have sweet tea for me to grab. I'm not sure what was going on, but I think that they were either replacing their dispenser or didn't have one at all. With that, I made my way back outside to continue on my way. That is once I was able to figure out how the hell to get out of there.

The store is completely empty & when I entered she was in the back. She stood behind the register with the put on customer service voice without providing customer service. So I sat there with product in hand deciding if I would give this store one cent of my hard earned income. Nope.. put it all back, drove to the Giant Food Store in the same shopping center & got both items I was looking for. It's insulting that she not only did not have the situational awareness to understand why you don't imply that there are no race based hair dyes while working at a Beauty Supply store but that tone of fake customer service, assistance & effort was the deal breaker. Yes they didn't carry the product but offering to help while not helping is an extra insult which is why this store deserves No Support from those that need Race Based Hair Care Products.
