My hair was badly damaged from pregnancy hormone changes, terrible braids, and just general laziness. My hair is natural and is super thick 4C texture. I came with my hair already washed, so she was able to get right to work. She styled my natural hair (TWA) into two strand twist. I was in and out in about an hour. It would have been an additional hour, but I opted to let my hair air dry as To do the twist out the next morning, right before work. I don't remember the products she used, but they worked for my 4c hair. The next morning, It was well moisturized... really good twist out. I asked her if I could come on Wednesday, June 3rd, and she said yes. I am leaving to go out of the country on Thursday, June 4th. This appointment was very important to me. I arrived this morning right on time, but Aminah was not there. There were three women who was there in the shop. One of them called Aminah and informed her I was there. I spoke with Aminah and she informed me that "Binta" was going to do my hair. I responded, "Okay, no problem." Binta told me to sit in her chair. I showed her the style and she said, " I don't know how to do that style" She called Aminah back, and I guess she explained she couldn't do it (speaking French). Sidebar: if it involves me, please speak English. After speaking with Aminah, Binta said, Aminah said she can't come. I asked why she didn't call or text me, but nobody responded. Now I'm riding round looking for someone to braid my hair. TRUST ME, IF YOU HAVE ANYWHERE IMPORTANT TO GO, DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH AMINAH; she is neither professional nor reliable.
