The bread tho…read more... First time at this location, and it's a sneaky one in a larger commercial building. Ambiance is still nice, and almost feels a bit more upscale than the Santa Monica one. Our waiter was amazing! He did a great job of being attentive, while providing his secret recommendations to combine and order right. Bread is stupid good, and paired with the chorizo and clams, such an amazing bite of food. We also love the pink sea bream. Will be back.

An excellent experience, consistent with the national brand…read more Warm sourdough bread to start. Fresh, perfectly shucked oysters from a list covering the range from sweet to briny. One faux pas, which I find surprisingly common even at restaurants that highlight oysters on the menu: the server forget to bring me an oyster fork and I had to chase one down. The heirloom tomatoes salad was marvelous! Lots of fresh tomatoes bursting flavor, nicely accompanied by avocado slices that enhanced the tomatoes instead of competing with them. This puts to shame the heirloom tomato salad at San Laurel in the nearby Conrad hotel. I'm usually reluctant to order a steak at a seafood restaurant, but I have been recently disappointed several times at steakhouses and gave it a try here. The filet mignon was very good. Service was outstanding, although it faded a bit towards the end of my meal. My server--Christopher--was courteous, friendly, attentive, and mostly quick. Two different managers stopped by several times to check on me. For dessert, a scoop each of sweet cream, white chocolate chip, and peanut butter ice cream and an espresso martini. Ice creams were okay. Espresso martini was marvelous!

It's been a bit over 3 years... and I'm still obsessed with this place! It's been a while since…read morewe've dined here (we actually visited last June for our anniversary dinner lol). Honestly, I need to come here more than once a year. Every time we've visited, the food has always hit. I always leave the restaurant stuffed and satisfied. We had a great time at our most recent dinner. We celebrated our friend's birthday and they made our dinner really special for us. They gave the birthday boy a bedazzled crab house t-shirt, gave us 2 plates of braised salmon on the house and even an extra uni small sized uni bowl. As you can see in my pictures, our table was FULL of food. Service has actually gotten much better than our past few visits. No more pesky, valet guys and they have plenty of parking. I've been tempted to try the other raw marinated crab restaurants but we honestly love this place. Thank you for a great time crab house!

Overall (8.5/10) Pretty good spot for marinated raw crab…read more The crab was fresh and not fishy at all, the workers were phenomenally nice, and the overall experience was really enjoyable. First Impressions (8/10) Very cozy and authentic Korean restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. It was surprisingly not very busy when we went, which made the experience even better. What We Got (8/10) * Soy marinated crab: Very fresh and melts right onto the rice. The sauce is on the sweeter side, almost like a Coca Cola flavor. * Spicy marinated crab: Good flavor but only has a very mild amount of spice. * Panchan: Really good fermented kimchi, rice cake, japchae, and sesame dressed coleslaw. * Each crab dish came with rice and they also serve tea for free. We even got a slice of salmon, which definitely hit the craving. Taste and Quality (7.5/10) The crab was the highlight. No fishy taste and the texture was really soft and rich over the rice. The soy sauce was a little sweeter than I expected, while the spicy sauce could use more heat. Service (10/10) The workers were phenomenally nice and very welcoming. Easily one of the best parts of the experience. Space and Atmosphere (9/10) Really cozy and authentic feeling. The music was mostly BTS, with some BLACKPINK mixed in, which fit the vibe. Apparently Lisa has also visited here. Was It Worth It (7/10) Pretty good for the price, especially with the rice, panchan, tea, and extra salmon. There were also a lot of crab pieces, so you definitely get a decent amount. Final Thoughts A solid spot if you are craving Korean marinated crab. I would come back, especially for the spicy crab and the really nice service.

Came here to celebrate my anniversary and left with a full stomach and a happy heart…read more All of our food and drinks were delicious and beautiful and the service was impeccable. I didn't feel rushed, finished plates were cleared without asking, and our waitress (sorry we forgot your name but you made this dinner amazing for us) was very fun and made sure we were good on time since we told her we were going to see Bruno mars at sofi. Everything we ordered was amazing. I was just a tad bit disappointed by their signature squash buns and their Dutch apple pie. The buns just tasted like regular stale dinner rolls warmed up and the apple pie slice was cold and bland. The salted caramel sauce was the star of the dessert. Only downside was how hot that place was with the sun going down and being directly at us. Crazy we're having this bad of a heat wave in the middle of October. I will definitely be thinking about this dinner for a while. We probably would've stayed longer for some drinks and hung out at the beach for the sunset, but Bruno was waiting for us. Thank you guys so much, we'll definitely be back!

2 Stars -- Apparently, Hospitality Wasn't on the Menu…read more I'm giving two stars because I've eaten here many times, and the food has always been fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, the hospitality on this visit was anything but. We walked in and noticed several empty seats at the bar. Naturally, we thought we'd sit there. Well, that idea was shut down by the host faster than we could say hello. No problem! We asked about getting a table instead. Apparently, our only available dining option came with a complimentary sunburn. How thoughtful! Nothing pairs better with a nice meal than being roasted alive in the afternoon sun. What made the experience so disappointing wasn't even the seating situation. It was the way we were treated. I've honestly never felt so unwelcome walking into a restaurant where I was planning to spend my money. The entire interaction was awkward, dismissive, and frankly embarrassing. It almost felt like we were inconveniencing the staff simply by showing up. I've been in the restaurant business long enough to know that you can't always accommodate everyone. But making guests feel welcome costs absolutely nothing. The food may be wonderful, but apparently, a warm welcome is harder to come by than a table in the shade. 5 stars for the food. Unfortunately, the hospitality didn't earn a seat at the table.
