Really great spot to come for tteokbokki. The sizes are kinda big tbh its definitely shareable. The staff at the front was super nice, helped us with any questions we had about the food and recommendations. The tteokbokki itself was super soft, and paired really well with the sauce. They use quail eggs instead of regular eggs which i do wish they had an option to choose from as quail egg is rubbery tasting.

Jaws Topokki is committed to providing their customers with an authentic Korean dining experience with dishes made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. Located in the heart of Los Angeles' Koreatown, @jawstopokki features a range of delicious options, such as gimbap, crispy fried items, nourishing rice bowls, and their signature topokki (available in 4 types: original, cheese, rose and jajang) First time trying Korean Street Food or don't know what to get? At last, it's my first time dining at Jaws Topokki in KTown. The ambiance is very spacious, vibrant and inviting with adequate seating. I am also fond of the cleanliness of the restaurant, which lures anyone to dine in at this precious spot. I immediately placed my order of Chicken Galbi rice bowl. It is decently priced below $15 and comes with a side of sautéed vegetables and miso soup. Service was pretty quick (approximately a 7 minute wait) and the cashier was cordial enough to bring my order to my table. My rating for the Chicken Galbi is 4/5. The chicken was grilled enough but was a bit dry. However, the fluffy calrose rice, galbi sauce and sautéed veggies saved the entire dish. For me, the side soup was 3.5/5 because it was a bit salty for my taste. On the bright side, I was able to adjust it by adding some hot water from their water dispenser. Overall, I still enjoyed my meal and nothing went to waste. On my next visit, I would love to try their beef bulgogi bowl, as well as their extensive kimbap selection. Jaws Topokki is a great place for a quick, healthy and authentic meal.

Ordered jaws for lunch via door dash... We ordered 2 orders of bento box and 1 order of large fried food... The fried food was a mix of veggies, 2 shrimps, around 10 pieces. The bento box was really good and decently priced... The fried food, not sure if it was cause we got it like 40 min after it left the kitchen or something, bit it wasn't amazing.

*disclaimer- I never wrote a review before but this is just UNACCEPTABLE. Jaws Tpk is not new to me because I've ordered from here several times now. I had no complaints from my previous visits but not today... There was a big piece of plastic in my ddukboki and some of the tuna kimbap had a weird grainy crunch to it when I chewed- dirt? sand? I just lost my appetite and threw both the kimbap and ddukboki away. Makes me question the food safety/handling at this location.

We ordered the foods through grubhub and ate at home. We got topokki and beef kimbap and it was more than enough for two people! Their kimbap is filled with ingredients rather than just rice which I love. Topokki was also pretty good :)

I was craving Korean food, and Jaws fulfilled that perfectly. They have affordable bento boxes with a variety of choices. Their gimbap is so good and tastes fresh. I had the spicy pork belly and shrimp gimbap. It comes with sides as well, included is side salad , Kim chi and fish cakes. There's definitely a spice to it... my lips are still tingling! Jaws deserves a repeat visit... I want to try their other menu items like the tteokbokki and cheese balls. They also have the option of doing half size! You know it's legit when it has add ons like quail eggs and mozzarella cheese! They also have slushies. Korean heaven!

Soup was yummy and flavorful! If sharing for two, def recommend buying another item to pair with it if you're feeling hungry. A lil pricey but the vibes of the place are nice!

One of my favorite places to grab to-go Korean food. They have a few locations across LA. The package was great. I love the food too. Rose teokbokki was my favorite. Their kimbab is also very nice. This location is quite spacious and has trendy decoration. Slush was cool for a long time but I think it's a bit too sweet. Parking is valet (something around $5 I think) but they let you park for free if you're taking it to-go.

So, I almost never do this, but we enjoyed our meal here so much we came back the next day!! All I have to say is Jaws passed the repeatability test! We did an order of the rosé tteokbokki with cheese again, and they were able to make it vegetarian (just note tou have to order at the counter for modifications). I did another lunchbox with the spicy pork kimbap and pork cutlet as my meat, and added a side of the mixed veggie tempura for $2. On short- amazing. I liked the pork cutlet kimbap better because I liked the veggies in the roll from the day before a bit more, but both were delicious and expertly made with that beautiful presentation. Like this is the biggest and best kimbap I've had outside of Korea. I love the tempura here as well. They combine the veggies into this delicious slices of tempura versus frying them piece by piece which I love. The outlet as my meat main was delicious and juicy. I also love the fresh tossed salad, the dressing is yummy! Once again the staff was helpful, the place clean, and the food delicious. Counting down until my return to Los Angeles so I can visit again!

One of the best meals I've had this year. Everything was a hit -- from the salad to the side dishes, the meat, and dessert. Nothing disappointed. The menu is definitely made for sharing, and every dish felt thoughtful, flavorful, and fun. My favorite was the fried pepper. I think I'll be dreaming about it, and I would come back just for that. We were definitely overloaded with meat, but in the best way. The decor and ambience are very chill -- lively, relaxed, and very LA without feeling pretentious. We came for my mommy friend's birthday, and it was perfect for a moms' night out, but the crowd also had that young, hip energy. It feels like a place that works for all ages. Service was very attentive and knowledgeable without hovering. Parking is right next door by the Electric Theater lot, about $15 with no validation, so carpooling is probably the move. Love it, love it, love it. Definitely coming back.

Food wasn't good. Nothing stood out to me except for the salad. For starters we were suppose to have two different salads but without apologies a waitress simply brought out a small bowl of cucumber slices stating they ran out of the other salad. No comp or no discussion on an alternative where I was charged full prefix price. It was disappointing since I wanted to try their salads and that was the best part of their entire prefix and only dish we actually finished. For Steak and eggs entree, they never asked how I would've like the steak cooked and they brought it medium, which we did not touch since it was too bloody for my liking. The deserts were all underwhelming also including meringue, tart and chocolate mousse. I got sliders for my kid who loves a good cheese burger but she didn't eat it either. Also having fries with burgers would've been nice and I was surprised she got two small sliders with no fries. Usually sliders and chicken tenders are always served with fries. Esp for children. Service was okay initially but towards end I had to keep looking for waiter trying to ask for things since again end of day I felt workers were busy closing out and not as much attention was paid to guests still left. Ambiance was okay. It was farther than I thought near Chinatown than my usual west LA options. To me it's about experience, taste and quality time but given price point and culinary experience I had for Mother's Day prefix, I do not want to dine again at this restaurant.

I had placed a phone order, for pick up; upon arrival, I found the service was prompt. I saw my food ready to go, just past the main walk-in area. Almost immediately after that, I was taken care of by the host and on my way. I've been waiting to try this place for ages so on the drive back to work I was excited to steal a piece of meat from the bag. Initial bite flavor was good, meat was tender just a bit on the chewy side.. I wasn't bothered by it too much as I'd have to leave it in an oven warmer at work. Trying to keep food warm, in doing so, I knew there'd be only two possible outcomes, melting tender or either tough & dry. So, the dish of meat and rice sat in the warmer for almost an hour hour and a half. The downhill slope.... Set the "meat " on the veggies and began to eat. Meat after meat, I kept experiencing the same exact texture. It was the same exact rubbery chew, I initially tasted. Each and every piece was the same exact flavor. There was no peak, there was no pitfall. If you cook or grill, you know this is a red flag. Normally, consistency would be a good thing, a Master craftsman type experience, but this was NOT it. As go on, I get the sinking feeling, this can't be real meat. I lock in, the deeper I dig, each piece looks the same, broken apart the same, tastes the same, just various shapes. They can call me crazy for this one - I'll stand by it. Something is not right here. I'm not even going to throw it away. I'm going to study it for the next few days and post an updated review. I hope I'm wrong but as of right now, I'll never revisit this place. Too freaky of an experience. We

Truffle Wok Seared Noodles - We wanted to pick this noodle dish as a balance to the protein dishes. It did its job but it tasted okay. Not something that stood out. Slow-Drip Vietnam Coffee Flan - I liked the caramel that was layered on the flan, it was crunchy and added a nice texture. It was a nice presentation but tasted okay.
