I was excited about trying this place out because of all the good reviews, but I thought the wings were mediocre at best. The suicide wings were not hot to me and the cajun dry rub was not very cajun"ey" and they were very over done. I also thought the wings were a little on the small side. The cook service as mentioned in other reviews was slow; however, our waitress Sierra was attentantive and helpful. Also on the plus side, I thought the fries were plentiful and good. The sweet tea was also good. Even though I'm not a drinker and I couldn't give good advice, it looked liked they had a nice liquor and beer selection behind the bar and there were numerous TVs to watch the different games on. I'd probably come again for a future game or something if I were in town just because I absolutely despise the horrible service at any and every Buffalo Wild Wings I've ever been in. Great wings from Rude People Wings are very good but the African American girl that works the front counter does not care how customers feel while in the restaurant. She should be fired but unfortunately..... She is the owner. My experience started by me walking up to the counter and having her pull her oatmeal bowl she left on the counter saying "I was all in her oatmeal". REALLY?? Eating oatmeal at the counter????Nice way to be greeted...... She had "The People's Court" on the TV turned up wayyy loud. I asked if she could turn it down or off and she said "no". I then went to go up to go upstairs as I didn't want to listen to the people's court and she says " upstairs is closed.... Can't you see the light is off". Rude comment again... I would have turned around and left then but my coworker wanted to eat there. About 5 minutes later, she turned the TV down. I go to restaurants and pay happily and expect to be treated with respect. Awesome wings-- and they have a new location in a nice building on Main St. now(near 5th St, west side of street). They also serve beer. They have a tv, plenty of tables, and a few booths. Warm atmosphere. The wings take a bit, but they are fresh and hot, and delicious! The Season wings are great--enough spice, but not too much for my 5 year old. Food was good but the service was awful. When I say awful I mean horribly awful. This place used to be great so we decided to make a trip over to Joplin just to visit here. The new layout since expansion is confusing. The place makes you feel unwelcome if you don't know how to get to the dining area. The wait staff was extremely slow to the point of making you want to get up and leave. The food is the only reason they get 2 stars. I really enjoyed the "Chunks", boneless wings. They are really good sized and worth every penny. Being a college student athlete, I really enjoyed the sports atmosphere in the sports bar section with what looks like maybe a karaoke stage or possible small bands, they also have a dining room section as well that is a little quieter. After reading the previous reviews, we decided to try Hackett Hot Wings. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but I wasn't impressed. The older man behind the counter acted as if he was doing me a favor by taking my order. The worst part is, I think he was the owner! We spent a lot for some hot wings, a catfish platter and an appetizer (fried green beans, I believe)... My wings were overly salty...and just nothing to write home about. I ate a couple, but wow - the salt. The younger man helping out was very friendly. Maybe if he had taken my order, I would not have started off with a bad taste in my mouth. These are the best wings I have ever eaten. With an assortment of sauces and seasonings, as well as a very friendly staff and enjoyable atmosphere, Hacketts is easily one of the best restaurants in Joplin. The food is not too pricey, and if you are going with a group it is easy to buy in bulk (and save) and then divide the wings by 5s into the flavors people prefer. I've always been a fan of hacketts even when they were on Broadway. Since they moved to downtown I've frequented them more often and the experience is always great. The service is always personable and friendly and the food is always great quality. I prefer the sauce wings to the dry but they are by no means terrible. I ordered 10 Greek dry rub wings. 20 was delivered... normally it wouldn't be an issue getting extra wings (paid for the 20) but they were super salty. They came with carrots and celery; much to my surprise, these also had the "Greek" dry rub on them. Thumbs down. 2. I ordered pulled pork fries. Wow. What a disappointment! They have 3 different rooms on the 1st floor including the sports lounge area. They also offer a large banquet area upstairs. The food selection is good if you don't just want wings [but you should be eating wings] but the wing flavor selection are AMAZING. We ordered 100 WINGS [greek, suicide, hot & honey, lemon pepper & cajun] we had maybe 15 left over. We order seasoned mixed veggies, fried mushroom, fried pickles, baskets & baskets & baskets of fries....ALL VERY GOOD! They have a great beer and cocktail selection, all for a GREAT PRICE! Spent maybe $260 on 10 people; appetizers, 100 wings, beers & cocktails! GREAT SERVICE, checked on multiple times by multiple people. We can definitely say, we enjoyed ourselves. First I want to start off by saying that my two star review is for the service NOT the food. The food is excellent as it has always been. The service on the other hand is sub par. We waited for over an hour from the time we ordered to when our food arrived at our table. The waiter did keep the kids glasses filled up although he kept rubbing up against my 14 y/o daughter which Is why I am guessing. He did however "forget" to ask my wife or I if we wanted our drinks from the bar reordered after we had finished ours. The service is scarce and sporadic at the best.
