We learned after moving to Wise County that it's only $7 if you get it done IN Wise. We pulled up to the lane that indicated State Inspection and got our insurance card ready. There's two kinds of mechanics: 1. The kind who make a living "scaring and upselling" you into a bunch of garbage you don't need, and 2. The kind who earn a lifetime of business by being truthful and honest, even if it might cost them a sale today. These guys are the 2nd kind! I just popped in for an oil change, and I'm not a car guy. I told them what I "thought" the car manual said. However, they did get the upsell today... because they were knowledgeable, and informed me that my "suggestion" would probably void the warranty on the car. I think it was like a $15 difference. That's an excellent trade in my opinion! They also corrected some information I had received from 2 other shops in the prior few weeks (on other issues). I have always taken all of my vehicles here. I will never take another vehicle to this place again. For over two years I have gotten oil changes and inspections done here. They have always offered a military or veteran discount for oil changes. I got my oil changed on my little four-cylinder Mazda three, I went to pay and the woman at the desk said they don't offer military or veteran discounts on oil changes. They charged me $99 for an oil change of less than 5 quarts on a very tiny car. I have never paid more than $60 there. The woman that works at the desk has a very bad attitude, You would assume that for $99 for a basic oil change, the customer service would be a little bit better. The shop right across the street charges 69.99 for the exact same synthetic oil change service. read more

DRUG use in the workplace it was very easy to smell on the manager. When I was there today I witnessed this boss man narcissist YELL at his employees in front of ALL of us customers. Why? Because one of them put on the wrong oil filter and the lady's car BLEW UP. Why yell at all of them in public? Is this professional? Why not reprimand the mechanic who put the wrong filter on in a private environment and not act so absurd and scare the customers? And why are you employees always next door washing YOUR vehicle while we customers wait forever for an oil change? I noticed this too when I went before. Definitely NOT a professional manager running this place. The manager even told one guy he was going to have to clean toilets every 5 minutes. WTH???? I WILL NOT go back and plan to complain to the powers that be. The owner seems to not care about his managers actions as he's already been complained to. EPIC fail during my visit today. read more

Won't top off windshield wiper fluid in winter months, when we need it the most because "it will freeze". The cheapest stuff from walmart won't freeze. Course they don't mention they don't top it off, they just let people think they did. How I knew was mine was about empty when I went in last time. When I discovered they didn't, then I asked. I guess they're using water to top it off then, same as my husband's radiator two years ago. Not a mix, it was low (it's a 20 year old truck he loves) so they just added water.
