Since when do we become OCD assholes just because we care about our nice wheels? I guess they have to make money somehow since Texas doesn't require inspections anymore. I have been a Tire Discount customer for several years. This is not a first time mix up they have gotten me into. I believe I will start buying my tires and getting tire and wheel service from SAMS. I figured I would go ahead and get a new set to take advantage of the sale and rebate. Jordan took the time to check all four tires and assured me they were still in good condition--likely good for another two months depending on how I drive. He explained that NTB typically recommends replacement when tread reaches 4/32". Jordan could have easily taken my money, but instead he was honest, patient, and informative. What should have been a quick and routine service turned into an hour-long wait for no good reason. After waiting all that time, one of the employees came back and told me that my engine air filter was missing and that I needed to purchase a new one for $35. This immediately raised a red flag because I had literally just installed a brand-new air filter myself only hours earlier. So how exactly does something that was just installed suddenly become "missing"? That explanation made absolutely no sense. Fast forward to around midnight the same night -- the exact tire they supposedly "changed" was completely flat. I was beyond frustrated. People work hard for their money and their time, and it's unacceptable to have both wasted by careless or dishonest service. Since I had to work the next day, my boyfriend went back to the shop on my behalf to address the issue. Instead of taking responsibility, one of the mechanics responded with the classic dodge: "Not saying we did it and not saying you did it," before claiming the valve stem was broken and that they would replace it. Excuse me? The valve stem was perfectly fine before your shop touched it. Now suddenly there's a broken valve stem the very next day? That is not a coincidence. Of course you're going to fix it -- because your shop is the one that caused the problem. This entire situation reflects incompetence, poor workmanship, and a complete lack of accountability. Customers trust mechanics to handle their vehicles honestly and professionally. When that trust is broken, it deserves to be called out. I will absolutely be sharing this experience and will make it my mission to shut these crooks and this location down because people deserve to know where they are spending their time and hard-earned money. Not a transmission overhaul, not rocket science -- a FLAT. TIRE. I arrived early, expecting efficiency. What I got was an absolutely pathetic display of incompetence. I've now been sitting here for over THREE HOURS, with no update, no explanation, and no indication that anyone knows what they're doing. And just when I thought it couldn't get worse -- it did. I drive an electric vehicle, and at some point, the brilliant minds here decided to pop the frunk (front trunk)... and leave it open for hours. That's not where the tire is. That's not where anything relevant to the issue is. It's like they opened it hoping the car would fix itself or drop them a hint. This location is an absolute joke. What's the point of having an appointment system if you can't manage basic workflow?
