However, they did get the upsell today... because they were knowledgeable, and informed me that my "suggestion" would probably void the warranty on the car. I think it was like a $15 difference. That's an excellent trade in my opinion! They also corrected some information I had received from 2 other shops in the prior few weeks (on other issues). I was having an issue with my car, VW diesel, of no power. Three mechanics had said the issue was…read morethe transmission, it wouldn't go passed 40 mph. I replaced it with a used transmission, still had the same issue so the mechanic then said that the turbo was out and needed replacing. I even took it to a VW dealership for a diagnostic to make sure. They said the same thing. It was extremely expensive so we were trying to decide whether we wanted to spend the money on this 2006 vehicle when I was told to take it to Dan's Auto. They found the real issue, the valve on the EGR cooler was broken which didn't allow any pressure to build up in the turbo to run. It cost me 1/3 the amount it would have cost to replace the turbo. The dealership hadn't said anything about the EGR cooler valve. Dan's Auto has now earn a life long customer! Thank you JR and Kyle!!!!​
