There's a reason I've hired H.O.M.E. for at least 5 moves now; efficient, polite, affordable. Thank you.

Unfortunately, my husband and I had a nightmare of a move with Wondermove. This review is true to the events that happened and I would just like to prevent someone else from having to deal with the added stress this company caused. We were moving from a 1,000sqft home that had "larger items" consisting of 2 beds, 2 couches and a dresser. We were quoted 3.5-4 hours and $760-$926. The movers (Dae and Travis) showed up at 8:45am and we were excited to get moving. We took a walkthrough of the house and they started to move the larger items. This is where it all went downhill. I was finishing packing a few boxes in the kitchen and noticed I hadn't seen the movers coming in and out as expected. I then realized only one mover would occasionally come in and grab a box. I asked Dae if Travis was okay and he said he was "playing tetris" in the truck. It was now 11 and we still had plenty to pack up. They both stood around/in the truck for most of the morning and occasionally came in to move an item as I asked them about it. My husband and I didn't know what else to do to get them to move the items so we started moving all of the boxes and workout equipment up from the basement and setting it all outside of the truck. I didn't want to be confrontational but was absolutely dumbfounded that we were doing majority of the work that we paid the service to do. After having to leave items behind because they left their own inventory in the truck we finally departed for our new home around 1. We get to the new house and they scrape our driveway with the underride guard. I watch Travis run around and try to kick away the asphalt as if nothing happened. They then attempt to drive up the driveway front ways and beech the truck. The underride guard is now scraping the cul-de-sac asphalt and the front tires are digging up the asphalt on our driveway. We sat waiting for a tow truck to arrive at 3:30. We now are unloading the truck (my husband and I again doing a lot of the work) to get this job done. Majority of the boxes ended up in the front room (not as labeled). The hardest I saw them work was when it was 5o'clock and the truck wasn't even half empty. The final bill ended up being $1,533. We later spoke to Nick (manager) on the phone and he determined the best he could do is offer 20% for us repair to the driveway ourselves. He said that we should have called someone when we noticed the movers were not doing their job, which was a baffling response, then rushed us off the phone. I couldn't be more disappointed in this company and regret choosing them.

The first time I was so impressed not Only with the prices but with the move and that's why I called again! They beat ANYONE'S PRICE and move better THAN ANYONE I've EVER USED. NO names mentioned. We felt confident. Boy were we wrong! $15k down the drain. Everything became a complaint or an argument. We had picked them specifically because they said they would build a crate for the lathe and charged another $1000 to do it. On the day John argued he would not move it and had never agreed to. Much less build a crate for it. I ended up providing makeshift materials and show them how to safely move it. When it got here things were bent and broken. While getting boxes in the truck two of them kept pushing each other around like two little kids. They eventually dropped a bed frame on the hardwood floor and then one pretended to be hurt. We saw it. It never touched him but he screamed it broke his foot and was bleeding. Yet somehow he had no issues moving boxes. The same two guys kept pushing each other around until finally one was thrown right where a snow plow was being moved. The plow flipped over and narrowly missed his foot! I turned white. The truck they brought was not big enough. They had to go and offload it and return. That took them 4 hours. We had to walk behind them around the house because they would constantly not grab all the boxes from rooms but close the door and say it was all done. Always an argument ensued. Things like yard equipment, glass and awkwardly shaped things were taken separately on the truck. When these guys arrived they had two trucks and just 3 people. As they opened the truck I saw one of my generators sitting upside down! The lathe was loosely strapped to the side of the truck sitting on the same material I provided. Things on it were bent and broken from bouncing around. All the yard equipment and awkwardly shaped items were just stuck in tall garment boxes. Trim pieces from my truck I had just painted were scratched and rubbed through. Ruined. Boxes were crushed. The guy with the "broken foot" kept limping around. John hardly did anything. Boxes were placed any which way pretty much anywhere. We had to insist and argue for boxes to be taken where they belonged. Things that went into storage were just chucked in and boxes placed right at the entrance. It was a mess. We gave up on having the furniture put back together as we just wanted them to leave.

My crew, Derek and Justin were extremely efficient and communicative. They always asked me where and how I would like to have the things unloaded and placed, and were very respectful of my apartment. Ended up finishing everything and more than what I have asked for to unload in less than the quoted 2 hours! Would definitely consider using them again if needed to move. In a word: Don't sweat, leave it to the Big Guys!

I had to think long and hard about writing this review because I grew up with the philosophy "if…read moreyou don't have anything nice to say - then don't say anything at all". That being said - I don't want others to fall into the trap I did. My experience was similar to the many other voices here on yelp. I was provided with an "estimated hours time" to complete my move . . . everything in the house was packed and ready to load. Three men showed up late. One young guy was on his phone every time I walked outside to check progress on loading. A completely rude man kept asking to use my bathroom and then informed me I was out of toilet paper and did I have more. Needless to say I had a clogged toilet. They took more than twice the anticipated time to load the truck and behaved outrageously when I said I didn't have enough cash to pay them (since I planned for half the time). The man wanted to stay (alone) in my empty house while I went to the bank to get money. What kind of legitimate business demands payment in cash?! But the real reason I am writing this review is because most of what I loaded into the truck went into storage for a year. I just moved again and was able to unpack my things......crushed storage boxes, soo many broken items I can't even count, damaged furniture AND my very expensive commercial sized treadmill is broken. The day of the move I watched the bathroom idiot try to pick up the console by himself and as I was beginning to say, "don't....." - he dropped it upside down on my concrete drive. I was hopeful that since it was wrapped in foam and moving blankets it would be safe - but I should have known better. When I called the owner he started swearing at me and insisting everything was my fault and his men told him I was "difficult". Don't trust this man/company with your possessions! The clowns he hires to do the moving are unprofessional, rude, lazy and don't give a poo about how they treat your items.

Despite the 95 degree heat these guys showed up on time. They walked the job first to see what they had to move which in our case was about 40 boxes and bags and about 15 pieces of furniture. They then proceeded to put down runners and shrink wrap the furniture items followed by picking up the heavy boxes and loading their truck. The total job only took them a total of 5.75 hours which included the 2.5 hour round trip drive. The final price was very reasonable since they charge by the hour. Again, this was in exhausting unbearable heat. They even moved a recliner from our first floor to the lower level at our request. These young guys were congenial and very helpful. We would definitely use them again if necessary. They are top notch. We highly recommend them if you have a move in your future.

WARNING: A 38-Mile Move Became a Lawsuit After I Paid the Maximum Quote…read more I strongly recommend that prospective customers understand my experience before hiring Extra Mile Moving. My written estimate for this move was $3,115-$4,075. I paid $4,075--the **maximum estimated amount**. Extra Mile/Moving Forward ultimately billed the move at $8,655.50 and is now suing me for another $4,580.50, plus attorney fees, costs and interest. This was a roughly 38-mile residential move. Extra Mile/Moving Forward had an opportunity to walk through the property before the move and see what was being moved. I also advised them that I had a large number of boxes. When the first truck arrived, I immediately expressed concern that it was too small. The move ultimately required additional truck capacity, additional time and associated charges that I dispute. A substantial portion of my possessions was unloaded into my garage. What I was initially told would be temporary storage became a garage packed with household property, leaving it inaccessible to me. I live alone. As I have gradually been able to unpack and access those belongings, I have continued to discover damaged and missing property. More than $1,500 worth of readily identifiable belongings was left behind at the Brighton property. Containers holding clothing and other belongings were damaged or opened, leaving approximately $1,000 worth of clothing, handbags and shoes on the garage floor. I have also discovered additional damaged property and substantial missing property, including numerous family portraits, many of them originals and irreplaceable. I have photographs documenting the condition of the garage and belongings, as well as photographs showing many of the now-missing family portraits in my former home. Because litigation is pending, I am deliberately limiting this review to facts I can document and my own experience and opinions. Extra Mile/Moving Forward disputes my position, and the court has not yet determined the merits of either side's claims. What I believe prospective customers should know is this: I paid the maximum amount of the original estimate. I disputed thousands of dollars in additional charges. I am documenting damaged, missing and left-behind property. And instead of this ending as a customer-service dispute, I was sued for another $4,580.50 plus attorney fees, costs and interest. Had I known this was a possible outcome of hiring this company for my move, I would have chosen another mover.
