do not recommend. Danny is and teammate did not listen nor have any care for my belongings. They set items on top of my TV screen and now it is internally broke. Kyle stated they are not responsible but did not communicate that with me and it is not stated anywhere on their website. They did not put boxes where I told them they should go. I told a team member to lift an item from the bottom because it was a bit loose and then I see him disregard me and lift from the top so initially, the item fell apart. My belongings were falling all over the truck. Danny kept a drill that was not his. I hope he does the right thing and returns it. They kept my ladder. I just want the drill back!! Danny is a bit rude. The other guy was nice, however! Wish I could remember his name. While I appreciate their efforts, I cannot give them five stars. Very disappointed with this company. Please choose another moving company. Poor customer service. read more

I would not recommend this company. They were aggressive about getting my contract. The staff they used for the move had language barriers. They broke and scratched my furniture and even tore my couch. They set the set the furniture up and never mentioned anything. I thought they put the trash from on packing on the back of the truck. They left a good portiin of it around the side of my house where it could not be seen. Beware of the insurance they sale because it is literally pennies to the pound if they damage your stuff. I had to call them several times on the damages. I have moved several times fir work. The cost for what I got in service was not good. read more

I'm 62 and living alone so I clearly marked boxes-bedrooms, kitchen, basement to get things in the right part of the house because several boxes were large or heavy. Apparently they couldn't read. They also struggled with logic- they lined up my wardrobe boxes with hang up clothes in front of the closet door so I couldn't get to it and laayed one on its side on top so all the clothes ended up on the bottom of the box, off hangers, a wrinkled mess! They stacked heavy boxes on top of lighter ones marked fragile....seriously!!?? They took bed's apart at the pick up house and then couldn't put them back together at the drop off house because the left the tools behind. None of the furniture was was wrapped (they forgot the plastic wrap) so they used a couple of blankets that they had and so a wood dresser got large scratches and a deep gouges on its side. Because they had boxes stacked boxes next to it I didn't see it right away so Kyle said they couldn't be responsible. The move took twice as long as the estimate, so was crazy expensive for 2 guys that shouldn't have been sent out unsupervised! I could go on, but I'm not going to waste any more of my time. Used General Movers to move stuff to my new house last weekend. The guys came out a little earlier than scheduled, which I appreciated since I requested they try to get there early. They did a good job packing things up carefully & efficiently. There were also sensibly about stacking things (this is not a given-- not all movers are very careful about how they deposit items). The guys (Danny, Kaelon, & Andrew) were all very polite & nice people. Danny called the night before to make sure he understood what would be needed for the move. Very organized. Kaelon (sp?) was especially considerate in moving things in. I didn't ask him to sort boxes in a particular way, but he watched what I was doing & tried to copy my sorting method. He was able to refer me to someone else who did it the same day. Very professional and I appreciate he went out of his way to help me. We would recommend this company to everyone. End of June we had to move my father from a sr. living apt, to an asst. living complex. They were able to fit us in on short notice [less than a week]. The rates were fair. Pat and Josh were the two guys who did the job. They were exceptionally nice, careful and helpful. I handled moving out of the apt., while they took the goods up to new location, where a sibling handled the unloading and unpacking. Have never hired a mover before [we're the kind of 'call your friends, get beer and pizza' movers. This was all new to me. Everything was carefully moved, packed and unloaded, the guys were polite and professional. As far as we are concerned they did a super job. Would not hesitate to call this company again. I was very impressed with General Movers. I had reached out to them for a quote to move my belongings from one storage unit to another. They only have quality workers with years of moving experience. For a rental fee, they also provide their own truck and supplies, which they prefer to use. Not having to deal with the hassle of renting a truck and supplies was a huge benefit in the long run. The guys were fast, courteous and professional. I found their prices extremely reasonable and would no doubt use them again. I highly recommend General Movers if in need of moving services. read more
