I scheduled a move and Sarah accommodated my last minute scheduling. Sarah sent the POWER TEAM of Demetrius and Demetrio, whom I have affectionately nicknamed The DOUBLE D's (LOL). Demetrius and Demetrio arrived slightly early and ready to go to work! I had most of my things already packed in storage containers on wheels and few other things in boxes. Demetrius and Demetrio moved my items from the house to the deck off the backyard onto the truck and they were prepared with all the equipment necessary (ramps, bumper pads, etc) to make the move smooth, efficient and to prevent damage to my things. These two moved so quickly, I was amazed and couldn't pack my remaining things fast enough! They were willing to wait for me to pack or they offered to take my things as is but I had them take what was already packed. We met at my storage unit which on this day was surprisingly packed with people and other moving companies moving in. Demetrius and Demetrio engaged with the other movers and all were respectful to them during our move. Demetrius and Demetrio packed my unit as requested and they packed and stacked EVERYTHING SO VERY NEATLY and with care for my items. EVERYTHING was totally organized! Nothing could have gone any smoother than this move! The price value to book my last minute move was very good for me and I tipped them both as EVERYONE should do with professional movers such as these two. When I returned back to the house, it wasn't until the packed items had been moved that I realized how much MORE packing I still needed to do, so I text Sarah to schedule a FINAL move for 2 days later and I specifically requested Demetrius and Demetrio (The Double D's). Even on such short notice, Sarah made it happen and scheduled me. Again, Demetrius and Demetrio showed up on time even during a rain storm with high winds...ready to work and help me move all my things out. Again, they both setup my items in the house to move quickly during this rain storm and by the time they finished setup, the storm stopped and they moved everything out. Patriot Moving Systems caught my attention so I called them to get more information. I talked with Dennis to get answers to my questions. He told me they are full service, meaning they will pack as well as move your household contents. You also have the option to do your own packing. One place I called pretty much only loads and moves your stuff so you have to do your own packing. Patriot sells boxes and packing materials but also suggested Home Depot or Lowe's but said he actually prefers and recommends getting these from U-Haul as he thinks theirs are better quality and sturdier. What I like is the way Dennis explained our options without overly promoting materials through Patriot. He also explained the rates for their services. Basically it is an hourly rate per person plus a trip charge and cost of the truck usage. He came out and walked through or house and then was able to give us a rough estimate of the number of hours we would likely need. We planned to use a staging company so we needed to pack some things to thin out certain areas like closets and kitchen countertops. So we arranged for Patriot to send out three people to box and move things into the garage for three hours and that was a big help. They were focused and hard working guys who went practically non-stop for the time scheduled. Whenever there was a question about packing certain items they asked about it. I could tell that they all knew what they were doing, their experience showed and they treated our things as if they were theirs. Delicate items were wrapped well for protection. Our move is currently on hold as we continue to pursue selling our home but Dennis checks in with me periodically to see how things are going. I will update this review once we actually complete our move but we know who we trust with packing and moving our property.

I paid my deposit outside of their website and was sent a text message link to pay my deposit. Moving day came and I selected a moving window between 12-2pm. I received a call from Damian letting me know they will be between 30 to 60 minutes late. I was annoyed but stayed positive, and I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The movers didn't arrive until 4:40 PM. We began a walkthrough and when they saw the peloton exercise equipment (that was disclosed to Damian when I hired them), they informed me that items over 60 lbs would incur a $120 surcharge. I found that to be ridiculous considering most furniture is over 60 lbs. when I pointed out that my TV was over 60 lbs they told me that wouldn't be subject to a surcharge, so where's the consistency? Our cream furniture pieces (sectional w/ detachable pillows, chaise, sofa and ottoman were all dirty. Like they drug the stuff off the truck. Some of our wood furniture has been scraped and chipped. Not the cheap stuff either. Ashley Furniture tufted headboards and dressers. We had to hire a cleaning company to come out and make our furniture look presentable again but a few pillows are going to have to be hidden cause of this company. I filled out the form she sent and specifically selected the option of 3+ floors and made a note AGAIN that there's no elevator. The day before the move she calls me to confirm, I remind her again about the elevator 3rd floor situation - she says yep all set her people know this. Shortly after she calls me and says they have to push back our move from 9-10 am to 2-4 pm...I wasn't thrilled but that's life and things happen. Now, it's the day of the move... the movers call me when they're nearby and ask me if we are on the 5th floor- I said nope, 3rd floor with no elevator - the mover had NOT BEEN TOLD ABOUT THIS BEFORE even though I specifically mentioned it to Fawn, the owner MULTIPLE times. Not off to a great start already but I tried to remain hopeful. The movers arrive WITHOUT ANY MASKS...my husband asked them if they had masks and they said "no we don't do that." When my husband mentioned the governor's orders to wear masks and the fact that there's a pandemic happening and masks should be worn, one of the movers got defensive and said to my husband, "What are you a cop?!?!" The mover then proceeded to say to my husband "So do you want us to do this move or not?!?!" The movers come up to look at our apartment- we tell them what needs to be moved etc, then they say that they are waiting on a 3rd guy to come and they won't start until the third person arrives...uhhh okay? The movers go back and wait in their car. At this point we have been waiting almost all day for this move to get started and it's after 4pm. The owner, Fawn calls me and says that we have 5 stories that the movers will need to climb - THIS IS NOT ACCURATE SINCE WE LIVE ON THE 3rd FLOOR AS I TOLD HER SEVERAL TIMES. She went on to argue with us about how many floors our apartment building has and how a flight of stairs is counted...she proceeds to ask us how many steps we have in our building - who the heck knows that off the top of their head?!?! And since when is a THIRD FLOOR WALK UP 5 flights of stairs?!?! She tells us that they don't do moves with this many stairs...that would've been good to know when I made the reservation and informed her of our stairs situation. Also, she informed us that the third mover wasn't coming anyway because he didn't want to deal with the stairs so late in the day-- okay cool, so I guess everybody just makes their own hours and does stuff when they're feeling up for it at this company. Cool. This part is VERY IMPORTANT given the CURRENT COVID 19 PANDEMIC. We went on to ask Fawn if she was aware that her movers were not wearing masks during a pandemic while going in and out of peoples homes...and she said OF COURSE THEY ARE NOT. Uhhhh....what? She went on to spew some ignorant and inaccurate anti-mask claims such as, "they don't wear masks for their own health" as well as the other anti-masker greatest hit "the work they do is too hard for them to wear a mask." I call B.S....if a doctor wears a mask for a 12 hour surgery, and if my 3 year old niece is wearing a mask at school all day and plays outside running around at recess without issue then I don't see why two grown-ass men can't wear their masks while doing their job. This kind of anti mask attitude is extremely dangerous and unacceptable. I cannot stress enough how absolutely horrendous our experience was with this company. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO MY WORST ENEMY. I hired this company on 8/13/25, and the experience was awful from start to finish. They were scheduled for 9 AM but didn't arrive until after 10. The original quote was $379 for the first two hours with two movers and $169 for each additional hour (spoke with John). Without asking me, they decided to bring a third mover, which raised the rate to $515 for the first two hours and $239 for each additional hour. Jake assured me this would save money because the move would go faster, but instead, it dragged on for seven hours just to move some furniture and boxes. To make things worse, Jake didn't even have a proper receipt--he reused an old one and scribbled over it. During the move, they dropped my couch off the truck and broke both front legs. Jake admitted it, saying, "Well, that happens. I'll come back and fix it." We paid in full immediately (they also charge extra for credit card payments), but as of 9/19/25, the couch is still broken and Jake has never come back.
