Sal and Aaron took care of us well in our local Ann Arbor move! They were on time, professional, and kind. They took great care in moving our furniture, even navigating super heavy pieces through narrow spaces with finesse. Many boxes of delicate kitchenware were moved without any issues or breakage. They were happy to move stuff into the right rooms and position/set things up to make our lives easier. The move did end up take 1.5 hours longer than quoted, which was $$ more, but I think some of our furniture pieces were heavier than expected and we probably ended up with more boxes than expected. read more

TLDR; the movers stood around/in the truck most of the morning, my husband and I moved majority of the items, they damaged our driveway and final bill was about twice the quote. Unfortunately, my husband and I had a nightmare of a move with Wondermove. This review is true to the events that happened and I would just like to prevent someone else from having to deal with the added stress this company caused. We were moving from a 1,000sqft home that had "larger items" consisting of 2 beds, 2 couches and a dresser. We were quoted 3.5-4 hours and $760-$926. The movers (Dae and Travis) showed up at 8:45am and we were excited to get moving. We took a walkthrough of the house and they started to move the larger items. This is where it all went downhill. I was finishing packing a few boxes in the kitchen and noticed I hadn't seen the movers coming in and out as expected. I then realized only one mover would occasionally come in and grab a box. I asked Dae if Travis was okay and he said he was "playing tetris" in the truck. It was now 11 and we still had plenty to pack up. They both stood around/in the truck for most of the morning and occasionally came in to move an item as I asked them about it. My husband and I didn't know what else to do to get them to move the items so we started moving all of the boxes and workout equipment up from the basement and setting it all outside of the truck. I didn't want to be confrontational but was absolutely dumbfounded that we were doing majority of the work that we paid the service to do. After having to leave items behind because they left their own inventory in the truck we finally departed for our new home around 1. We get to the new house and they scrape our driveway with the underride guard. I watch Travis run around and try to kick away the asphalt as if nothing happened. They then attempt to drive up the driveway front ways and beech the truck. The underride guard is now scraping the cul-de-sac asphalt and the front tires are digging up the asphalt on our driveway. We sat waiting for a tow truck to arrive at 3:30. We now are unloading the truck (my husband and I again doing a lot of the work) to get this job done. Majority of the boxes ended up in the front room (not as labeled). The hardest I saw them work was when it was 5o'clock and the truck wasn't even half empty. The final bill ended up being $1,533. We later spoke to Nick (manager) on the phone and he determined the best he could do is offer 20% for us repair to the driveway ourselves. He said that we should have called someone when we noticed the movers were not doing their job, which was a baffling response, then rushed us off the phone. I couldn't be more disappointed in this company and regret choosing them. read more

Had a great experience on our long-ish distance move. We had three movers, and they were extremely efficient and careful with my belongings, including an antique lamp. All of my items were well cushioned and wrapped. They were thorough and communicative with me throughout the entire process. At the end, my weight was lower than quoted and I came in well under my quoted rate. I would definitely use this company again. While I believe that the movers who came to do my move really tried their best, the job took much longer than the estimate and ended up costing twice as much. In the process of moving items, there was some minor damage to a door frame and the movers damaged my desk while trying to put it back together. Since that move, I tried another company that was faster and less expensive (though for the 2nd move, I did disassemble the desk on my own this time and told them I would put it together to avoid further damage). The guys the the job were professional and communicative. They were on time. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. Loaded up everything in 1680 square foot house quickly. I had many super heavy boxes of books plus a piano so they really worked their muscles. I was really surprised how fast they loaded and unloaded the truck. Plastic wrap was put on some of the furniture to protect it. I'm not done unpacking everything yet but so far have not found any damage to anything. I would 100% recommend them. They were very friendly and personable which is always a big plus too. Why I'll use them again: Showed up when scheduled, treated all of our items carefully, and everyone is nice to deal with Tony's Tip: When storing things, they charge by the item, so if you can stuff a couple discrete items like a microwave, toaster oven, etc. in a larger box with other items, it will save you money. Well, COVID keeps throwing curve balls at us, and UMich decided - practically last minute - to kick all of its undergrads out of the dorms at the end of the Fall term, moving to fully remote online classes for the Winter term. While a lot of parents were able to roll with that, seeing as half of the students hail from Michigan, it turned into a time-sensitive fire drill for my Freshman daughter since we live in Massachusetts. As she was planning on flying home little more than a week later, taking her mini fridge, beddings, and a load of other stuff we'd packed into the SUV on our Summer trek to Ann Arbor wasn't an option. The idea of a 12-hour drive there to get her and a 12-hour drive home the next day was not my idea of how to spend a weekend. So we went looking for a storage service to hold her stuff until she returned for Sophomore year. Naturally, we weren't the only ones looking for help, and after finding no room at the inn calling the first two places, Campus Concepts came through. Reserving space and arranging a pickup time was pretty straightforward. And with both pickup and delivery built into the monthly storage price, it's easy to see what you're paying for. As it turns out, once back home, my daughter also made a last minute decision of her own to head back to campus and lease an apartment with a friend. I was easily then able to downsize my package to a shorter time frame no questions asked (not quite as short a time frame I needed, but it still cut my initial cost in half). I also gotta give a shoutout to James, who tirelessly works the phone there. He was super nice, very patient, had answers to all of my questions, and generally made me feel like CC knew what they were doing. As for the movers, my daughter says they showed up as promised for both the pickup and the delivery, worked quickly, were very nice, and all items were returned in perfect condition. Bottom line - Campus Concepts helped turn a potential nightmare into a totally workable solution. I'm not sure what the future holds, but my daughter is gonna be there for three more years (hopefully not more than that!), so I suspect I'll be giving CC a call again before she totally leaves the nest. read more

Great service, helpful and fair price. We used them on a snowy winter day. Because of the weather they needed to reschedule for a later start time but we were so grateful that they got us in on the right day. There were many activities that depended on an earlier activity being on schedule and this was one of the biggest. They were courteous and efficient. As we walked the home, almost as soon as I indicated a stack of boxes the team was at it moving things to the truck. They cleared the house, moved items for donation for me to the porch, went to a second location to pick up furniture and then to the third location for drop off. They completed the move carefully and quickly. Everything was moved in under the estimate, even snow shoveling to clear the walkway. I don't recommend Wondermove at all. The movers were inattentive and careless, one was outright argumentative when I made simple requests. They were moving glass items without wrapping them--just putting them in a box. I asked a mover to wrap some of my glass items and he said he didn't need to because they wouldn't knock into each other in the box. Sure... the way you put them in, they're not knocking together now, but when jostled, they could move and bump mid-transit. Why not just take an extra 30 seconds to wrap the items? They similarly put loose metal furniture legs in the POD without securing them or taping them to anything. Those legs are heavy and would fall during a move, damaging other furniture. I asked one of the men to secure it, and he said he didn't need to. I insisted. Had I not insisted, they would not have done it. But my point is... why do I have to insist that they do their jobs properly? Hilariously, at one point, one of the movers picked up a box and shook it, noting that it was well-packed because it made no noise. The other man (the argumentative one) shortly after picked up a box that was RATTLING and SHAKING and just plopped it on the roller cart. I watched as the same man unscrewed a lightbulb from a lamp and put it into an empty cabinet drawer. Yeah.... I'm sure that glass bulb will arrive intact... after a cross-country move and at least four trips via forklift. They put one couch in POD without wrapping it or any protection at all. Same with a shelf. They dropped two expensive items--one shelf and one electronic item--damaging both. They also packed a bunch of stuff I asked them not to pack. I didn't realize this till later during the day, when I was looking for items to throw away. I already started a damage claim and am expecting to find a ton of broken stuff when my POD arrives. I will update my review then. Also - for people on a budget - I was quoted 2 hours for a studio apartment. It took nearly 4. Be aware and budget accordingly. The pros: they were on time. Moving can be so stressful and complicated and Campus Concepts made it a breeze! CC had to pick up my belongings from two apartments in Ann Arbor (my own and my girlfriend's), store our stuff for 10 days, and then deliver to Pennsylvania for our move-in. Each step of the process went smoothly. Warren came to our apartments about one month in advance and provided a free in-home estimate, which was quick, easy, and pretty accurate (actually a bit more than we ultimately paid). The movers showed up with the truck within their two-hour window for both pickup and drop-off. Pick-up was easy and the movers were prepared with materials to wrap any furniture that we wanted to protect. I would highly recommend asking them to wrap stuff even if you aren't sure (be safe, rather than sorry). Drop-off at our new place was also easy. Fred and Tim helped get our furniture into a relatively small townhouse, even with some tight squeezes. We noticed no major damage or missing items aside from a few small scuffs (again, when in doubt, ask them to wrap things!). Only small issue is that they need a cashier's check for payment (cards result in a big fee) but we didn't get our final estimate until almost 5pm the day before the movers were supposed to arrive at 9am for drop off. So make sure to bug them to provide a cost estimate in time to pick up a check from the bank. Great experience overall for what can be a very stressful process. read more

Our situation was that we moved from a sold home to a rental home in 2018, then from the rental home into a new home in 2019. Our experience in 2018 with CC was very positive, which is why we used them again for the 2019 move. Both crews showed good positive energy, and worked extremely hard, and the pricing was about what we expected - it averages out to about $2,000/move for enough stuff to "fill" a 2,600sqft home, taking about 10 hours each move, with a crew of four. Good points: - The 2018 crew did especially well considering they had to split up and retrieve items I had in a storage facility, and also break down a half-dozen shelves I'd forgotten to disassemble (which caused about an hour or so delay). - The 2019 crew seemed to have good chemistry, and were chatty with me - but in a good way. It made the time go by easier, they were all generally nice guys. - In 2019, one of their trucks broke down, leaving them with one truck for the majority of the move - and they made arrangements to bring additional personnel to cover the unexpected reload trip of the working truck. The crew chief and supervisor listened to my concerns and made the necessary billing adjustments. Opportunities for Improvement: - The 2019 crew chief mentioned concocting a "slide" to get things down the basement stairs quicker. I understood the search for efficiency, but the execution was horrible. The staircase was too long, and there were too many boxes containing loose items or unsecured/open tops to make it possible. I witnessed one box barely make it, and I thought he'd reassess his plan, but then I saw another box completely break apart with contents spilling at the bottom of the stairs. I told him that plan did not work for me, and they scrapped it. I was extremely upset, and I felt that if I'd not seen that, the sliding would have continued. - Two poor communication moments for the 2019 crew: The arrival time said 8:30a, by 9:30a they hadn't arrived or called, so I called the office and the rep said that they should have called me, and that he'd contact them to make sure they gave me a call. He said they were 15 minutes away; they arrived in about that time, but I still didn't get a call. The other poor communication moment - I saw the crew close the doors of the working truck, and I waited inside the house to learn what the next steps were since the other truck was broken. Then I saw the crew chief get in the broken truck and start driving away, while the rest of the crew got in the working truck and started driving away. So it seems that if I had not seen them when I did, I would have walked outside and seen no trucks or people. A simple heads-up would have been good. I do recommend their service, they were not overly reckless, outside of the one "slide" incident I mentioned, and they worked very hard and were all pleasant guys to be around and talk to, which made the whole experience easier. read more

The quote was extraordinarily accurate so no surprises there which is a good thing. When the actual moving days came, Reese and his team were absolutely first-rate, Loading and unloading a 90 mile move over several levels and buildings. I have moved many times in and Ann Arbor and never have I had experienced such a bad crew and company. The crew that came was extremely slow and downright lazy. I would find them literally sitting in the truck talking to each other, frequently taking smoking breaks, and just wasting time. It's very disconcerting when you pay them by the hour. I called to complain and to get the office to take action and make them more productive. No one answered my call. The total bill came out to over $1200 dollars. This was my second time using Campus Concepts and both experiences have been excellent. The first time was a move post-college to another apartment in Ann Arbor (see my previous review). I now live in Birmingham, MI and this most recent move (Jan. 2018) involved moving items from both my parents house in metro Detroit suburbs and a storage unit to my new apartment in Birmingham. I knew it was going to be a bunch of effort from the team that moved me. The booking process was SUPER EASY - I really appreciate online booking as I am a busy millennial - I received a confirmation email shortly there after - the company has really improved some of its features for ease of moving since I lasted used them a few years ago ! I had a great experience the first time which is what led me to use them again - I've found the online booking saving tons of time and energy !! My movers were Kenny, Tim and Aaron - they rocked ! They made the transition so easy, and were prompt. On moving day I received a call when the movers were on the way and they arrived within the first 20 minutes of the scheduled 1-hour window. (wahoo) As far as the actual moving went, the movers seemed like they really knew what they were doing. Every item at both locations were thoroughly wrapped and safe. It put my wrap job to shame for the items I had put into the storage unit. Luckily the guys had extra boxes and were able to pack a floor mirror and an oversized framed piece of art !!When we arrived, I didn't really know where I wanted things to be placed, but the movers remained patient even though I had them switch things around about 3 times. When I move again I'll definitely be giving Campus Concepts a call based on the service I've received both times. I'll provide an update on move 3 when that happens. read more

I can say without reservation that this was the most courteous, professional and efficient moving team I've encountered. Not only were their estimators (all done online with digital photos) and schedulers accurate and accommodating, but the final bill was notably less than we had planned for, including packing materials. MASSIVE props to our ace moving team led by Jared and co-starring Kenny, Turk, Randy and Tim. Though our move was short geographically, we had a lot of kitchen equipment and musical instruments (including an upright piano); the guys packed everything speedily and carefully. I'm in real estate and have moved more than 20 times. I've moved my kids. I've moved, moved, and moved. I loved the "J Team!" Jared and Jordan helped with a simple move. Our kids are expecting a new baby in a couple of weeks, and needed to store things so that they can put one of those huge baby swings in the living room. I've moved many, many times and even out of the country. I have also moved my kids. We also needed to take a big generator in for repair and that was not as simple. After calling multiple times, the repair shop declined to work on the generator, when they saw it. The shop was not close to us. We had to problem solve and find a new place. I stored and moved 10+ boxes from Michigan to Pennsylvania. The staff who helped me were very helpful and professional, but the moving experience was painful and worrisome. The first problem emerged when I ordered delivery in May. Due to logistical reasons I communicated with them way advance to make sure the items arrive within a time window of several days. However, the items were not shipped in time, so they had to be rerouted back to Ann Arbor to be stored. The storage fee was said to be waived. The second problem emerged when I was charged a storage fee in July. I had to call to get the refund, and made sure the I would not be charged the waived fee again. The third problem emerged when the delivery finally happened in September, and one of my items was not delivered. I called them and they found the item, and shipped it shortly. Overall, Campus Concepts is sloppy and unreliable in my experience, and while the staff were nice, they were not very responsive. I had to reach out many times, when they had said they would reach out to me. I would avoid. But just my experience. read more

Stay away.. The workers and management are extremely slow and unprofessional. It is a shame because they will quote you a rate and the workers will take their sweet time smoking cigarettes, water breaks, eating, and just being lazy in general to bring your final price up. I tried to call the management to notify them of the poor service we were receiving as the foreman was doing nothing to help. Did not receive a response or call back. Terrible service for a $900 price tag. The workers knicked several walls and also broke some smaller items. Worst of all, they literally dropped my relatively new $1,000 mattress in mud, I mean how does that even happen? I called the several times office and they refused to help. After speaking for over an hour they decided to give me $40 back without even offering to clean it when it was clearly their mistake. read more

Found Campus Concepts via yelp and was desperate for help to move all of my heavy furniture from a storage unit on one side of AA to a new house on the other side of AA and this place was the only company I could find after trying 5-6 that had any availability within 3 weeks of when I called and I need help 4 days later. The crew called the day of and said they were running early and could start early if I was available so that was a positive. They got to work right away and followed my direction to focus on the heavy items and we were able to get everything moved that I had wanted in the time frame they were available (only 3 hours). The only 2 negatives were the crew tended to slide furniture on the ground of the storage unit, inside the truck and on the floor of the new home. Even after I asked them to please lift and not slide. So there was some small scuffing to my furniture and a scratch on our brand new hardwood floor. I sent the office a photo of the scratch and was told they wouldn't do anything because I declined liability coverage which I guess was to be expected but it wasn't like they dropped something and it broke. It was scratched because they didn't properly lift and place. Side note: there were marks to the walls but I fully expected that going into the move so not really a negative in my mind. The other negative was when the crew asked where I wanted furniture placed they gave me a rude comment or dirty look anytime I said it had to go up or down a flight of steps. Not really my problem as that is their job, I just did not tip as well as I otherwise would have. Overall, I would recommend this place if you need help moving. read more

I would not recommend using this company to move. Here are my three reasons: 1. They gave me a 3 hour window between 12-3 for when they would show up, and they still didn't get there on time. They arrived at 4:00 PM. 2. I received no communication from them. I called at 2:30, and only then did they say they were running late. If they called me earlier, I would've understood and would've given them a more positive review. 3. I had to ask for a partial refund - it was not offered. They gave me a 10% discount, which only equates to about $30. Which is a really amount considering it cost me an entire afternoon. These guys. Great customer service up front. The movers themselves did an incredible job with a hard more during an EPIC, wet snow storm - they were calm and efficient, with great communication. One shelf of a changing table did get broken during the move, but I had purchased insurance, so someone from the company came to our house to pick up the shelf for repair. I decided to go the extra mile to put a review on Yelp because I am so impressed by this moving experience provided by Campus Concepts. For me it was a local move in Ann Arbor. Miles and Peg (pardon if I got the names wrong) helped me. To start, they charge exactly by the hours they worked. My move lasted 3hr45minutes and they charged $570. There is no charge about the time they took to arrive at your home (a lot of other companies seem to charge this "travel fee"). This is already impressive given that all the previous moving service I used always find some ways to give an estimate that seemed cheap and then overcharge you at your actual move. To be precise, I was quoted $550-650 when I called Campus Concepts, a pretty accurate estimate. Secondly, I had to mention these two guys' patience and attention to details. They lay down on the floor for so long just to disassemble my sofa and desk without any sign of impatience. They also moved in a very careful fashion to not damage your furnitures and scratch your walls. These guys know to respect people's properties, unlike some previous companies I have used, who just shrugged it off when they left a big long ugly scratch on my wall. I ended up tipping them generously for their awesome work. Now, this is the way to build a reputation! I would definitely recommend this company to my peer student friends. read more

Booked through U-Pack Moving Staffers for a trailer load on 6-22-2020. Took 3 hours (had to pay for an additional hour) with a lot of staring at the back of the truck. Upon unload yesterday I was told by unloaded the trailer was packed poorly and many items are broken. Every piece of furniture is dirty, scratched, and/or gouged. Boxes are crushed, and wet. Many dishes, my antique mirror, and all my lamps are broken. I've moved all of this stuff between (With Upack even) states before and never had anything broken, let alone basically everything. This was my most expensive move, and by far the worst loading job ever! They put the walls up so I could not check the load before the trailer was closed. So beware of these loaders. read more

I know how stressful it is to move kids in and out of dorm rooms at the beginning and end of the school year. We are out of state parents and these guys saved us this March 2020 as the school shut down due to the coronavirus.
