They took great care in moving our furniture, even navigating super heavy pieces through narrow spaces with finesse. Many boxes of delicate kitchenware were moved without any issues or breakage. They were happy to move stuff into the right rooms and position/set things up to make our lives easier. The move did end up take 1.5 hours longer than quoted, which was $$ more, but I think some of our furniture pieces were heavier than expected and we probably ended up with more boxes than expected.

I just moved again and was able to unpack my things......crushed storage boxes, soo many broken items I can't even count, damaged furniture AND my very expensive commercial sized treadmill is broken. The day of the move I watched the bathroom idiot try to pick up the console by himself and as I was beginning to say, "don't....." - he dropped it upside down on my concrete drive. I was hopeful that since it was wrapped in foam and moving blankets it would be safe - but I should have known better. He said he couldn't find anywhere to dispose of the plastic wrap - THERE WAS A GARBAGE CAN IN THE DRIVEWAY NEXT TO THEIR TRUCK, I was told they aren't responsible for cleaning up after the job. I told Fordson I felt taken advantage of, being alone and older, and that his employee was lying. They made no accommodation and essentially blew me off once they were paid. My Advise: WATCH THEM EVERY MINUTE and make sure a man is around. They will lie and cheat and take advantage of a single woman. BEWARE.

The desk's components were unwrapped and detached from the wood skiff, brought into the cellar and quickly assembled. From arrival to completion, perhaps 30 minutes passed. (There was some discussion with the main office about how late the move would go and whether it might keep the crew out past 5 PM, which tells me that they're looking out for their employees--which is important to me.) They got it all done in less than the quoted time, and the guys were friendly and professional despite the fact that it was raining out and therefore not the most pleasant conditions. I also got a call from the main office the day after following up on the move and asking for my feedback. This was a relatively simple gig as moves go (20 some odd small boxes of books halfway across town), but Two Men and a Truck proved themselves capable, efficient, and responsive. They did know ahead of time exactly what they were moving. The more distressing thing is the condition of furniture that was put in storage. They did not plastic or blanket wrap antique wood furniture, or box lamp shades, so that we have several badly scratched table tops and a broken Tiffany glass lamp shade. They didn't even think to cover the floors moving furniture in and out in the middle of winter when they were going through slush to get to the trucks, and when I covered the entrance they kicked the covering aside and walked on the floor anyway. These guys are young, friendly and do their best, but they are not professionals, and not even trained to move things correctly.
