Absolutely the worst experience moving ever! Everything seemed great until they showed up. We had phone calls, texts and even a walk through where John even took notes. We felt confident. Boy were we wrong! $15k down the drain. Everything became a complaint or an argument. We had picked them specifically because they said they would build a crate for the lathe and charged another $1000 to do it. On the day John argued he would not move it and had never agreed to. Much less build a crate for it. I ended up providing makeshift materials and show them how to safely move it. When it got here things were bent and broken. While getting boxes in the truck two of them kept pushing each other around like two little kids. They eventually dropped a bed frame on the hardwood floor and then one pretended to be hurt. We saw it. It never touched him but he screamed it broke his foot and was bleeding. Yet somehow he had no issues moving boxes. The same two guys kept pushing each other around until finally one was thrown right where a snow plow was being moved. The plow flipped over and narrowly missed his foot! I turned white. The truck they brought was not big enough. They had to go and offload it and return. That took them 4 hours. We had to walk behind them around the house because they would constantly not grab all the boxes from rooms but close the door and say it was all done. Always an argument ensued. Things like yard equipment, glass and awkwardly shaped things were taken separately on the truck. When these guys arrived they had two trucks and just 3 people. As they opened the truck I saw one of my generators sitting upside down! The lathe was loosely strapped to the side of the truck sitting on the same material I provided. Things on it were bent and broken from bouncing around. All the yard equipment and awkwardly shaped items were just stuck in tall garment boxes. Trim pieces from my truck I had just painted were scratched and rubbed through. Ruined. Boxes were crushed. The guy with the "broken foot" kept limping around. John hardly did anything. Boxes were placed any which way pretty much anywhere. We had to insist and argue for boxes to be taken where they belonged. Things that went into storage were just chucked in and boxes placed right at the entrance. It was a mess. We gave up on having the furniture put back together as we just wanted them to leave. read more

Try another company. Though the women who packed my house were wonderful (labeling everything so it was easy to find), the guys who moved it all were either illiterate or lazy. Boxes marked BSMT ended up in the bedroom and the garage, none of the furniture was wrapped, and they didn't reassemble the pieces they disassembled. And they took forever! It should never have taken 10 hours to move a 2600 sq ft house once it was all packed. The guys were definitely not trying to finish quickly. Yes, I was asked if everything was OK at the end, however there was so many misplaced boxes, I didn't want to pay for more hours to correct their mistakes. After my building saved and showed me video footage I was shocked to see what I've stated in my review - since I was waiting in my apartment for 6.5 hours for them to finish the second part of a move. I also recorded my call with Lou, which has him screening and laughing like a mental patient. I wasn't even given the chance to say anything except ask why he had me call if he was going to yell & laugh. I also didn't ask for money back, but I do agree hours should be partially refunded. I contacted AAA quality moving service on Saturday evening very late with no expectation to get a response until after the holiday weekend. They got back to me in 10 minutes or less with a quote and they approved my move-in day that was 4 days ahead. they were enthusiastic and upbeat the entire move, even trying to take the small loads that I was doing myself. I moved from an apartment to a home, about a mile apart from each other. I had 2 large beds, 2 dressers, a dining room table and chairs, a nightstand, a tv with the stand, a coffee table, multiple wine racks, chairs, rolling racks..... etc. the job took 3 hours. Tldr; basic service, no frills, took longer than expected, for a higher price than I feel the service was worth. While AAA moving did come punctually and did complete our move on the assigned day, with acceptable damage to our belongings, that's about all I can say for them. Between not wearing masks, choosing to park in a narrow two lane street instead of doing as either I out my wife asked and use it driveway, and taking surprisingly long to empty a two bedroom apartment with four guys, I would not recommend them. And for this, we were charged what felt like a pretty premium price. 175 an hour, with a separate 175 dollar non-refundable deposit that does not go towards the final bill. If I hadn't been caught in a time crunch, I would have looked elsewhere, but they had availability when I needed it. In the end, the move happened and they didn't flake, but I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

I can't rave enough about this company. When it came time to move, I did plenty of research regarding service reviews and overall cost. AAA Quality Moving had the Yelp reviews and the lowest cost estimate. It seemed too good to be true, but I was happily proved wrong. The move was scheduled for a Saturday two weeks ahead of time. They called the day before to confirm one last time and told me that their movers would arrive between 9 and 10. The following morning? They arrived promptly at 9am. Before starting, they did a walkthrough to see how everything was, and told me what order they would bring things out. I had a few last minute furniture pieces that I couldn't break apart on my own, but a third mover came with them to help out. They didn't even charge me for the additional person! My apartment (1 BR, 1 BA, Kitchen, Living Room, and a bike) was pretty tricky to navigate too since it was the upper flat of a house with stairs that turned 90 degrees and a ceiling that drops right where you didn't want it to. They took it all in stride. Actually, not in stride. Sometimes they were running! They would move from the truck, up the stairs, and back down again. It never seemed like they slowed down for a minute. The crew leader Kyle was especially helpful and answered all my questions. They were all extremely friendly and willing to work around my needs. My apartment was packed up in 2 hours, and all my cargo was unloaded in a little over an hour. Their total time was definitely under estimate. I've been debating writing this review, but thought it might be helpful for other users. I requested my initial quote here through the Yelp app, and their customer service was quick to reply. I was specifically looking for a company that was well-reviewed...and one where reviewers mentioned care being taken with larger or more delicate furniture pieces, as I had some I was concerned about in my move. AAA had great reviews and I appreciated the prompt customer service replies when messaging, so I decided to book them. The AAA team called prior to arrival, which I appreciated, and did take excellent care wrapping and moving my furniture. Their prices are also extremely reasonable. The main reason I'm docking a star is because...when I used their service in Nov'20, the moving team showed up without masks - and refused to wear them even when I asked, saying it was too hard to breathe when moving heavy items, so as a principle, they don't wear masks during moves. This did not sit well with me, but the timing of my move wouldn't allow for me to rebook another company. To be clear - they did a great job with the move itself. If mask-wearing is important to you, though, this may not be the company for you. I'm grateful for their help with my move, but if I would have known upfront about their mask-free moves, I likely would have opted to book elsewhere. read more

Did not wear masks. Would have been 5 stars, as they were very prompt, professional, offered a cash discount, scheduled me quickly, and were fast. They have their reasons they can explain to you, but customers should be notified ahead of time, and especially if they are bringing an extra person to help (which normally would be a great bonus, but alarming during a pandemic). This was especially distressing as they had to move my furniture into my home during a post-Thanksgiving spike in the pandemic. I opted to stay outside in the 33 degree weather as much as I could. Had to move a 3000sq ft house. Needed movers for the big stuff and AAA had great reviews so I went with them. They charge by the hour. The time doesn't start until they arrive at your door. The hourly rate made me nervous because I was afraid the workers would move leisurely. Not the case at all. Terry, Tim and Ross were all hard workers. They did not stop the entire day. Very polite, always asking where I wanted everything. Moved everything with great care as if the items were their own. I would use them again in a heartbeat. Hopefully I won't have to anytime soon, cause moving is a lot of work. In retrospect, I would have had them move way more stuff. I moved so much small crap myself to save $$. It would have been money well spent. Also, offer them a snack or something. I realized more than halfway through the day that they must be starving. I gave them cheese and crackers and something to drink. They were so appreciative. And they did not stop working while they grabbed a cracker. I was so exhausted for them. :-). Tim and Terry showed up right on time, took great care wrapping up and packing my stuff, and were extremely professional and friendly. I have a ton of glass - mirrors, tables, etc., and they got it all moved efficiently and with zero breakage. They worked really hard, let me know why they were doing what they were doing, and wrapped up in less time than was initially quoted. I couldn't ask for a better experience. If you need them for services involving a move to a house, then I do recommend them, however, They're most certainly not your go-to guys for condos or apartments. Long story short, I had to utilize(hire on the spot) another group of movers to complete what they couldn't during a thunderstorm(which was a disaster). I just wish they had told me ahead of time what is the true extent of their expertise and a bit more about their limitations. It was a poor experience overall. I'm giving 3 stars only bc they didn't damage any items and they did a fantastic job wrapping everything up and loading the items into the truck. Everything else after that was simply dreadful. I was told "it is impossible and it cannot fit" in regards to my sectional couch and headboard of my bed, however, two other men that I had to hire on the spot were able to complete the job without utilizing any special equipment or tools, simply, by being more skilled and experienced. The entire sectional with the exception of one piece was maneuvered into my condo, so clearly, it wasn't "impossible". Another piece was hoisted up into my balcony by those same 2 guys. AAA did remove a $100 off my bill(which I had to negotiate for), but then I paid the 2 other men 400$ to finish the job, which I gladly did as it was well deserved(and at that point, I was very desperate). Once again, if you're moving from a house to a house, then I think AAA quality movers are a legit company to utilize, otherwise, don't waste your time or money because there is no worst feeling than being told "sorry, it can't be done" when it comes to your furniture during the stressful time of moving from place to place. In the future, they need to inform their potential clients of such limitations prior to proceeding with the job. Moved my aunt on my recommendation based on the Yelp reviews. They showed up on time, two workers for the company, not the owner or anything. Was moving from Clarkston to Pontiac a single woman from a condo into an apartment, not a large move and not moving everything. It was all going well loading and getting on the road but the truck broke down.about 11:00am..... they were suppose to arrive at the apartment by noon, arrived about 7:30, moving a 70 year old disabled woman. She had to return to the nursing home, and her niece stayed with her husband awaiting them for about 8 hours. Her husband helped them empty the truck into the apartment. When confronting the workers they kept telling them, not our fault the truck broke down! It is your fault if you do not maintain your trucks if you are a moving company! The owner refused much of a discount like about $100.00 OFF Not much for 7 hours sitting in a vacant apartment all day! and then helping unload the truck! read more

This company has the absolute worse customer service. I choose this company to move because they had very good ratings. Well the ratings don't even begin to describe the service and lack of professionalism I received. The move started out good. The movers were on time and moved my items in a timely manner. The end result turns out to be the worst experience. AT&T arrived, starting installation before the movers were done. Not 5 minutes after the movers left the AT&T tech. advises that my television was broken. I immediately called the movers back to advise them that my television was broken, they returned, examined the TV, and I swear like a scene from the twilight zone, they all stated, and I quote, "We didn't do that". I didn't realize that all 4 of these movers were experts in determining how a television can and cannot be damaged. There were no scratches on the corners or frame of the television, so there fore, they (the movers) could not have damaged the television. That was their explanation. The team leader, the guy that appeared to be in charge of this team of movers, and the one that took payment stated, and I quote, "I don't know what to tell you", "We didn't do this", before they left. Wow really?? is that how we're handling this? The damage is obviously internal, not external. The screen sustained damaged from the front of the picture screen itself. None of the movers acknowledged this obvious damage. When the TV is on, there are 3 obvious black circular shapes (lower left side) in the picture screen, with cracks going up towards the top of the picture. Which suggest that the TV had sustained some type of blunt physical contact from the front of the TV screen. So in essence, all four of these qualified TV experts (or movers) were able to determine they they could not have damaged the TV during the move. So I must have done it some how. My second complaint: One of the movers (Marshall) put my bed together as the other movers bought furniture into the house. Marshall did a less than stellar job. He failed to center the king size metal/wood frame to support the mattress. I sat on my bed later in the evening and the frame collapsed, braking the metal frame that supports the mattress. If the frame would have been centered properly, the frame would not have collapsed. So I called the number listed for this company to speak with a manager this morning. The person (male) that answered the telephone was quick to not cooperate, dodging my request to speak with a manager or supervisor. Literally screening the call so I could not speak to anyone other than him. Now this is how the conversation went, "I can't hear you" several times, then silence several times. When I asked him what his name was, he told me, and I quote, "Manager". When I asked this person if this is how the conversation was going to go? I got another, "I can't hear you", silence, then he hung the telephone up. So obviously this person, self identified as, 'the manager' has no intention of hearing my complaint, This "manager" never heard my complaint because he dodged my questions to speak with a supervisor or manager. This 'manager", has no idea what my complaint is. This "manager" intends on not resolving this manner in a civil, courteous and professional manner because he doesn't know what my complaint is even about. Very solid movers, extremely careful with my furniture and walls. Even got my 5' square granite table down 3 flights of stairs without complaint. Great experience using these folks as our movers. We were given a free estimate after we emailed them photos of the rooms in our house (and the estimate ended up being the final cost - no hidden charges or surprises). They arrived exactly when they said they would, and called about 20 minutes before arriving to alert us.
