One of my favorite stores to shop from. When you first enter, you see a huge selection of produce items as well as a food court. There's also a beauty store to the right of the entrance that has plenty of skin care items to pick from. As you walk through H-mart, you'll find a wide variety of food items from ramen, meats, and my absolute favorite, dumplings. Before leaving, it's an absolute MUST to stop by the bakery TOUS les JOURS and try their pastries.

Came here on a very specific mission: Thai pantry reconnaissance. If you cook Thai food, you already know the heartbreak of bouncing between stores looking for that one herb that makes or breaks a dish. Happy to report--this place delivers. First pass through produce and I'm already mentally planning three meals. Chinese broccoli (gai lan), Green papayas, Green mangoes, Garlic chives, Thai eggplants, culantro--stacked like they knew I was coming. And then the unexpected jackpot: baby mangoes. Not something you casually stumble upon, and definitely the kind of find. The store itself is clean, well-organized, and surprisingly easy to navigate given how deep the inventory goes. Only tiny hiccup: no Thai basil on this visit. Not a dealbreaker, but the one missing piece in an otherwise near-perfect haul. (I'll forgive it this time because... baby mangoes.)

Popped in HMart today (Friday) afternoon. The HMart is extremely crowded at this time. I wanted speciality items that I knew I could locate here. It's really difficult to communicate with the staff here and they can come off a bit passive when you don't speak their language. There is also a lot of stocking going on in the aisle while we're shopping which is a bit much. I found what I needed and got out the way. It's definitely an adrenaline rush shopping here. The store can use a deep cleaning in some areas. There are a variety of items here, so that's the positive side.

LOVE this place. Such a large selection in the produce and meat section. I am also a huge fan of tofu and they have a whole case dedicated to tofu! There are several places to get food in their food court, have a Tous Le Jour bakery, and much more. I bought Lychee fruit, sweet potatoes (they looked perfect!), some oyster and hoisin sauce (since I love Asian cooking) and a few other things that are hard to find in regular grocery stores. It was clean (although they were a bit busy restocking shelves and some aisles were a little cluttered, but was not a hindrance. I'll be going back for sure, love their fresh options here.

H Mart is a local Asian market located in Cary NC. They sell everything from fresh produce, fresh meats, and fresh seafood. They have a variety of Asian snacks, sauces, and Ramen. Basically anything that you may need for a great Asian meal. I always get my fish and shrimp here. You can get your fish cleaned before you purchase them. There is also a small bakery located in the store where you can purchase Asian bakery items such as milk bread. The store is always clean and the staff is always willing to answer any questions that you may have. I absolutely love this store and will be back again and again and again

H Mart helps fuel my Buldak obsession haha

I love H Mart! This is the first Asian supermarket I've ever been to and it is truly an adventure and delight to try new products that you can't find elsewhere. I love their Soju and Sake selections. They also have a huge selection of Ramen and this has fueled my obsession with Buldak Ramen because they have so many kinds. I don't come here very often because its far away, but it's always pretty crowded when I visit (probably because it's so awesome).

Food court + groceries + bakery all in one! H Mart is well stocked and offers a wide variety of items. I especially like the produce section. H mart is reasonably priced for a Cary grocery store. Plus having fast food stalls and a bakery within the same building is convenient. It can get crowded and difficult to navigate the aisles so plan accordingly. Check out is typically quick.

Broken Food Container

To clarify, this review is not about H Mart. It is specifically about one of the restaurants, Kang Nam Town, in its food court. My wife ordered the Yuk Gae Jang (spicy beef soup with rice) to go from Kang Nam Town. When she got home, she discovered that the lid of the container was cracked, causing the soup to spill out. As a result, the meal was no longer in an edible condition. She immediately returned to Kang Nam Town to request a replacement. Instead of apologizing, the owner accused her of breaking the container herself. Although he eventually agreed to replace the meal, he repeatedly insisted that the incident was not his fault. At no point did he offer an apology for the inconvenience. He was also rude enough to tell her to take the meal and leave. It was a truly horrible experience for her--one that no customer should have to endure and something you rarely encounter. This experience has permanently cost them our business. We will never return, as long as he owns the place.

Honey Garlic Chicken & Pickled Radish

I had some of the best fried chicken in my life here, the honey garlic drums blew my mind, I wanted a second helping but the wait time being almost 45 minutes per plate was the only deterrent. I enjoyed fresh lychee fruit, pink pineapple, marinated crab , and spicy salmon onigiri in the mean time which made everything better! I wish I had an HMart where I'm from, this place is heavenly

We visit H-Mart in Cary, NC once or twice a month to buy ingredients for Asian foods and eat in its "food court" of concessions, mostly for Love Bao Taiwanese Kitchen (See my Love Bao review for that for more info). This H-Mart is very convenient, complete with Korean and other Asian imported products. Seafood market is 1 of the best parts of the market but most of the seafoods are pricey, and they close a few hours earlier than the entire store, so if you want to buy seafood, make sure to arrive here before 7PM. However, there are frozen seafoods you can get beyond seafood closing hours. During opening hours though, employees can clean off the fishes and weigh shrimps, crab & other seafoods. You can get ice for seafood if you need. They also have a fresh Sashimi; we usually get the salmon/tuna sashimi for around $20+ and the cooked eel for $20+. Both are delicious but they're not cheap. H-Mart is the most convenient and probably the largest Asian grocery in the Triangle, NC, especially for Korean ingredients like fresh kimchi, fish cakes, seaweed salad, gochujang, ssamjang, tofu, and other fresh sides that go well with beef, chicken, or pork bulgogi and galbi, which they also offer. They have well-marinated meats and frozen meat for hot pots, soups, and other Asian favorites. They also have an entire shelf row filled with instant ramen and another with various noodles and rice. Another aisle for canned goods, sauces & spices where we get spicy tuna, soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, seasame oil, yellow & red curry sauces, gochujang, ssamjang, etc,. The have a wide area for frozen foods where where we buy miso, pre-packaged Dukboki & lumpia wrappers. We're not a big fan of frozen foods but if you enjoy them, they have a lot of frozen dumplings, noodles & frozen seafood. They also have freezers filled with mochi ice cream & other frozen desserts. We're not a big fan of the imported snacks & sweets H-Mart offers but they have a great variety of chips, pastries & biscuits/cookies. H-Mart's market section has a great selection of fruits & vegetables. Purple potato is 1 of our favorites here. H-Mart also has the best Kimchi section, offering sliced or whole kimchi in various sizes. Prepackaged soup, tofu sauce & imported alcohol are also found close here. You can find Japanese beers, soju, and sake. I won't go into detail about H-Mart's "food court" since I already talked about 2 of the concessions in their respective reviews here on Yelp, but I will say this: While it's better than its competitors' food-eating areas (such as LiMings in Durham & Grand Asia in Cary), the foods in most of its concessions are either overpriced and/or lacking in quality. Nonetheless, we enjoy eating Taiwanese food from Love Bao here, and it's nice they provide compimentary water (cold or warm). Grocery aisles of H-Mart are always clean, well-maintained; they rarely run out of stock of the products we buy. Customer service is generally fine but there were a couple of instances when cashiers were just unfriendly & negative. The Tours le Jours inside closes too early, so if you enjoy curry bread & other baked goods, try to come here early. There's also a Yaya Tea inside but we rather go to a a better milk tea cafe nearby. There are definitely a lot of reasons to visit H-Mart, and while its customer service, food court, and pricing are not perfect, the ultimate convenience & delicious offerings make it a must-visit for Asian food enthusiasts. Overall Score: 4.6/5

I love HMart, but we weren't able to find a lot of the items we were looking for (that they had last year) and the prices were WAY HIGHER than we expected.

Ask the Community - H Mart - Cary

Do they sell soy sauce marinated crab? I have never been to H Mart and wanna know before I make the 2 hour drive.

They have rotating items on that menu. You might find it but you'd be best to call if they prepared it that day. They make a bunch of different side dishes and I have seen it but not often.

Do you have weon-jo kim-bop?

They have veg, seafood (imitation crab leg) and beef bulgogi kimbap.

Do they sell blue crabs regularly?

When in season they have live ones. Sometimes you can find frizen ones.

Does this Hmart sell the spicy raw marinated crab?

Yeah I think If not I’m sure they have alternatives

Do they have sashimi grade fish?

Yes. They hae a whole case near their fresh fish shop.

Do you guys accept EBT?

They certainly do.

Is the food court open now for dine in?

I was there over the weekend and it was open.

Does this location sell Korean Fried Cheese?

I have never seen it there. Even in the frozen section. Excellent Korean fried chicken on the first shop on the right hand side when you come in the door. Get the spicy one you will love it.

Are any of the dine in restaurants open yet in the Cary HMart?

They are open for to go only.

With COVID-19 raging on, is the bakery still selling baked goods? I'm craving some western-style Asian buns but I live far enough from H-Mart that I don't want to make a trip just to be disappointed if the bakery isn't open.

Yes, the bakery is open. They are selling pastries that are pre-bagged. Still worth the trip.

Do they sell boba pearls here?

Yes.

Anyone know what restaurants are at the food court? Was wondering if they were all the same ones

They have couple restaurants that have traditional Korean dishes. And one of them also serves some Chinese noodle dishes, there is a Korean fried chicken spot, and Japanese spot that serves noodle and rice dishes. All restaurants are really good,…

Best time to eat lunch?

Go early, like 11:30, as the line gets very long near noon.

Do the shops have the same hours as the grocery store?

Some stations may be closed before the main store shuts down.

Is the delimanjoo still open?

If you are referring to the shop that sold fish shaped pastries in the cafe area it's closed. The bakery near the cashiers is indeed still open.

Do they sell individual Aloe Vera leaves at this store?

Yes they do but be aware the inventory changes. I've seen individual aloe vera leaves sold but there have been times when they were not there. Your best bet would be to call the store prior to making the trip out there especially if you are coming…

When I come to Fresh International Market, I don't come to shop, I come to eat. As someone who…read morevalues the bang for your buck, a place that will offer you rice and three sides for less than $12 is always going to make me happy. Okay, I am not going to forget the rest of the store. Fresh International is the closest place to me that does Chinese centric groceries, which is a necessity at times. Sure, H-Mart is closer to me, but some days I just prefer using the soft Chinese tofu instead of the Korean option. Not only that, but they have a better selection of rice and other snacks and treats. There is a seafood counter, butcher, a bakery attached, and the main attraction for me, their hot bar. The hot bar is cafeteria style in which you point to what you want in front of you. There is a blend of traditional Chinese options and some other more Americanized options. They have all different types of meats, including steamed fish, pork, chicken, etc, as well as tofu and vegetable options. The most expensive option is the $10.99 rice and three options, which is already a bargain in this economy. The food itself is solid for the price, and is very fulfilling. I would totally have this every lunch! Attached to the hot bar is the Chinese BBQ section. There, you can get roast pork, duck and other fresh meats. Their roast pork with the crispy skin absolutely rocks. The meat is tender and the skin is crispy and crunchy. My only problem with Fresh International are their hours. Their hot bar closes at 6:30 PM, while the store stays open until 9. I came at 7:00 PM and they were already wrapped up! Bummer! Make sure to come at lunch while the food is hot and fresh!

Fresh International Market's hot bar has solid value, but the overall experience was just okay…read more The biggest positive is the portion size. For $10.99 (three-item plate), you get a very generous amount of food, which is hard to beat. There are also a decent number of meat options to choose from. That said, the selection felt limited for anyone going meat-free, and more importantly, the food itself lacked flavor. The mapo tofu was disappointing, and the bok choy was pretty bland. Others in our group tried the orange chicken, which was described as okay, but nothing anyone would go out of their way for. Overall, it's filling and affordable, but not particularly memorable. Good for quantity, just not quality or standout flavor.

Although this location is smaller than some other Fresh Market stores, it offers the same open-market charm as other locations (maybe even more so because the smaller size gives a more authentic market feel). The store is clean, well-organized, and never crowded. I also really enjoy the ready-to-cook packaged meals for 2 or 3 (depending on age/appetite) which are very convenient for a quick home-made dinner, but also pretty tasty too. That said, I'm docking a star for one consistent issue: it's often hard to find staff on the floor who are available or eager to help locate hard-to-find items. For a new customer, that can be frustrating. The cashiers are friendly, but with only one or two usually working, asking for assistance sometimes means waiting until they've finished a line of transactions, which shouldn't be necessary in a well-staffed store. A lovely store with great offerings--but the lack of accessible customer service brings the overall experience down a bit unfortunately.
