Wow, I don't know why this store is getting such great reviews. Sure, it is a great store but it is nothing special and it is usually over crowded. However, they almost always have plenty of cashiers and baggers which really help get you out the door faster. I you have to choose between shopping here or at any other HEB or Wal-Mart then you should certainly choose this store. read more

Purchased groceries this morning at HEB in Waco. I used my credit card. The machine would not hold the card in properly and did a quick flash of transaction complete, however it then went with transaction incomplete and in order to get my groceries I had to do transaction again...while holding card in the machine and signing at the same time. I was suspicious that I may have been double charged so used my phone and accessed my account before I left the store. And I was correct!. I went to cashier and told him...he said yes it happens often and that they had asked for new machines to no avail, but that I could go to customer setvice and get a phone number to resolve the issue. I got the phone number and called. Was not able to speak to a real person but rather this happens so often they had a recording telling me that the dual transaction would be resolved according to their policy which the clerk told me would be a few days. HEB... you need a department called customer setvice. Apparently it is an oversight in your company. Your company makes a mistake and it becomes my problem. You have now tied up $135 of my money, to be returned at your convenience. Did it ever occur to you I may NEED that money now, that some of us barely get by? That I may need to pick up medicine or other necessities? The very least you owed me was the opportunity to speak with a real person! read more

Great location for me. Good meat market with helpful staff. However, in comparison to a full-service H-E-B, this store is lacking in selection and the way the shelves are stocked. You can only find fresh-squezzed orange juice early in the morning. Don't look for it after noon. Many times the shelves will be bare for a particular item. This store promotes H-E-B brand over national brands. This is a good "convenience" store until one can get to a "real" H-E-B. The store management claims that this is the most productive store in town. I doubt that. Go to the store in S. Valley Mills Drive, Hewitt Drive, or the one in Bellmead. H-E-B has neglected the Wooded Acres and N 19 th Street stores and the residents in these areas. Too bad! Waco needs perhaps a Kroger to offer H-E-B more competition. read more

Thank you H-E-B for making a storebrand that is just as good as namebrand food items. So many other stores have subpar store brands but I know that anything I get with an H-E-B or central market label is going to be good. read more

My wife and I spent two hours driving around to different florists in search of the perfect thing as a gift for our hosts. We couldn't find "it". We were getting pretty frustrated... One of the florists admitted the best flower selection is at this HEB. They were right. Unbelievable selection, including the perfect "it". Later in the week we needed a late night pharmacy, and they were the only one close by... Big, Beautiful store. Busy. Nice air conditioning... (must be expensive!) read more

Just an average grocery store. Since it is the only grocery store available in the area, I shop there frequently. It is almost always uncomfortably crowded, the cashiers always have a question about produce and my re-usable bags, and they lack many "ethnic" items. read more

Our local HEB is very good, but when we need something from the deli (great selection and wonderful service) or specialty cheeses, or different pastas, etc. we go to Wooded Acres HEB. We have never left without everything we needed, and usually a few other items, too! The fish selection is very good, and the counter personnel will cut and wrap to your specifications, even including a bag of ice for our cooler. They seem to eat fish, also, since I've discussed recipes and preparation methods with them and they know what they are talking about. The specialty meats counter makes my mouth water, and again the meat counter personnel know what they are doing and take pride in helping you decide what you want. If you can't find an item, any of the employees can tell you exactly where it is, and usually walk you to it. All the employees are so pleasant, and very helpful. The only reason there are four stars and not five is the parking lot, which is confusing and difficult to navigate. It must have been laid out by an architect after eating a cheap anchovy pizza. read more

I called the customer service desk if they could help me to print a receipt. I had purchased the gift cards to send family in Las Vegas for Christmas presents. I sent them by way of UPS but they delivered them to the wrong address. The person that answered the phone asked me if I was speaking English. I have an accent because I am originally from the Philippines but I have been in this country for over a decade now. He asked me what language I was speaking. I speak fluent English. At that point he transferred me to another person and she said that she could not understand what I was saying. I was again transferred to another person. At this point the manager got on the phone but said she could not understand me either. All I need is the receipt showing that I bought the gift cards so that UPS could reimburse me for the gift cards. I have NEVER been treated like this, EVER! We shop there regularly and none of the staff has ever had a problem with my accent. I was very offended by the way these staff members treated me! read more

For years this has been the consummate HEB location in the Waco area. They have an excellent selection of bulk and organic foods such as nuts, grains, and coffees. There is also a very nice deli area separating the produce section from the grocery section. read more

My son & daughter-in-law live in Robinson and expecting their first child. A baby shower was being hosted by my other daughter-in-law who lives in GA. She was able to communicate with Hilda Contreraz from the Bakery to have the most beautiful cake made. The decorations on the cake were absolutely perfect for what was requested. The attention to detail was noticed by everyone at the party. The colors & design were a perfect match to picture that was sent to Ms. Contreraz. The guests all noticed how the cake had great flavor and was very moist. All the guest as well as myself enjoyed how well the cake turned out not only in appearance but in texture & moisture. This store is ok I guess... The service is kinda slow. The shelves are almost bare in essential goods. The produce is always banged up or about to rot. The lines are so long during peak times and other times - but they have a ton of registers...go fig. I come here out of chance. read more
