This was the first time I've been here. It was 2:00 on a Friday and still busy with to go orders. I…read moreordered a smoked Turkey sandwich to eat there and also a to go order for dinner for the family. I love a good smoked Turkey, but have been disappointed by many because of dryness. NOT HERE. This smoked Turkey was JUICY and had a good deep smoke flavor but not overwhelming. And it was piled with turkey. Not just two thin little pieces. It was a mouthful. I couldn't even finish it because I was stuffed. On my to go order I had a half a slab of ribs, smoked Turkey, sliced brisket, potato salad , beans, Mac and cheese, and BANANA PUDDING. The ribs were perfect. Smokey, didn't fall off the bone, but I want to be able to eat my rib without meat coming off in one bite. They were moist and very well seasoned and tender. Of course the turkey was perfect. The sliced brisket was just as good. Not all fatty pieces but lean, moist and just delicious. The mac and cheese was a little dry for my liking. I had to add some milk to it. But everyone has their version of Mac & cheese. I just prefer mine creamier and cheesier. The potato salad was good, as were the beans. Again, my opinion, the beans were a little sweeter than I am used to, but I would get them again. Now, the banana pudding was a MUST. YES, get banana pudding. I was really more impressed with this place than I anticipated I would be. But all of the meat was just so good. I WILL be back

We split a small, and it was a filling snack for 5 bucks (the large, at 9, looked like a meal for two). It sounds like the actual BBQ plates are expensive, but there were lots of cheaper options. Honestly, I wasn't that impressed. The chimichurri coleslaw is almost 5 bucks and it wasn't as crisp as I prefer. The Brussels sprouts weren't shaved/browned enough for my preference. The tallow fries were a bit limp and not crispy. Subjective preferences, perhaps, but I just wasn't a fan. Ultimately, all I really care about at a BBQ joint is the brisket. And they killed it.
