Went here for the first time, and was very impressed, just enjoyed the vibe and didn't feel anything wrong. The cashier and bagger where very well mannered, while taking care of us and keeping a small conversation. Employees where kind as I can remember. Thanks for a good experience at this HEB. Also when I saw the donuts and bakery it was so tempting and very hard to resist, even though I did, much of it was gone for looking for delicious but still there, will be on my mind till I try everything . read more

HEB pharmacy: Management please pay attention to customer service. Have been giving them chances here for 3 years.... They don't smile nor show welcoming enthusiasm. They always make you wait 7 or more minutes when you are the only one in line inside or drive thru. They act very slow. I asked the pharmacist manager and she didn't explain clearly on my prescription then she asked me to step aside because there is a lady behind me has been waiting but I was there first. Rude, disrespectful, dismissive attitude. If you are not happy working there don't take it on your customers. CVS is just a few yards away will earn my business now! read more

The customer service line is ridiculous. Tried to speak to an employee named Katie about getting assistance. She walked to the back pretending like she was going to help, and just stood there chatting with the other works. She was dismissive and not nice. This is a letter of gratitude to a company as a whole. This company is H-E-B. The location that I shop at is this one at west grand parkway. But, I remember H-E-B s kindness back when I worked at JCP in Katy Texas., and that was a long time ago. Every time I shop at this store, I see the kindness that this company shows to me. They're little things that many people may not ever notice. But I do notice, and I just want you to know this. I notice your kindness. These little things all add up to a mountain of kind deeds. Mountains of kindness are not easily performed. They take time and planning and getting many people involved. Managers had to scramble because you never rally knew when I was to show up! Called several times looking for a specific product. No one answered in grocery. Got routed to the front and they said they could only just forward me back the grocery. If they didn't answer previously, why would they answer this time? Back and forth several times. Finally I just asked if there was anyone in that entire store could simply just go see if it's on the shelf. She said no. Only managers could do that and there was no manager available. Really? That entire store?! Ridiculous. At one point someone in the front asked if I even pushed the number for grocery. I gave up. read more

Since their grand opening, in this location near Aliana, we have shopped here more than 50% of the time. I drive by Kroger's on the way from work but while there are a few items I get there, the new H-E-B is overall much better. I still have to go to Whole Foods Market for a few special items and their vegan selections. I'm sure when the Target and their strip center opens by the end of the year, we will be going there more often. read more

I was wondering if it is now this companies policy to force feed it's customers contemporary christian music. I have had to listen to it the last couple of months as I shop here and it is played quite loudly. I have no issue with anyones religious beliefs until they feel it necessary to impose it others who do not share the same beliefs. Do they not care or not realize that not all of their customers and employees do not share the same religious convictions? There are plenty of other places to shop and they have just as good prices where I am not forced to listen to this. read more

I love H-E-B and to have a location that is closer to my house is great. The staff at this location are friendly and they have everything you can think of. I recently used their flower shop (Bloom) to get flowers for my wedding and they were beautiful and affordable. I don't always have time to cook a healthy meal so I go into HEB for their Meal Simples. This store started out making them well and to company specifications. Recently they have slacked off in their quality. I don't know if it is that the wrong people are making them or the manager of the department is trying to cut costs. He was told about the deficiencies in the product his department sells and has done nothing to correct it. I like HEB and will continue to shop with them, but this store has lost my business. read more

This HEB is still fairly new, but I go here several times a week and nearly every single time, there's always some snafu on the store or staff's part. I have never had so many items that don't ring up in an HEB before as I have with this one - even when the items are their own brand! I routinely find items that are still on the shelves well beyond the sell by dates due to the staff's laziness or poor training - or both. The cashier staff are also overall very rude. They give me such snotty looks when I ask them to not bag chemicals in with actual food items - again, another indicator of poor training. I have had cashiers allow customers to walk away to go grab additional items, holding up the entire line instead of proceeding with the next customer in line while the first person is still shopping. I've also had cashiers try to hide the fact that they forgot to ring up my coupons when they had to handle them as they were left on the conveyor belt - and then they get really rude when you tell them that yes, you do still want them rung up. Even this morning, one of your cashiers forgot to ring up the coupons (another one who tried to hide the coupons) and said she'd fix it, but then she tried to push me out of her line by proceeding to ring up the woman behind me with me still standing there waiting for her to fix my problem. It created an unfortunate situation as your cashier did not say how she was going to fix the problem before ringing up the other woman, and the other woman was getting nasty about me being in her way. So, thank you for having your incompetent staff help create a scene this morning. I greatly appreciated starting my day off that way. I do agree with another reviewer that I have had folks walk me across the store to show me where items were located and I greatly appreciated that. Perhaps those folks are the ones who should be working the registers. The managers don't appear to be of any help as the store has been routinely understaffed for an HEB with managers frequently having to hop on registers. However, they get called away to handle problems for other cashiers, leaving the customers they were just ringing up standing there with a half-rung up cart of groceries. This store seriously needs some work on its personnel and management. read more

Finally an HEB near the Aliana community! Definitely convenient. I love how there is ample of parking space and definitely a lot slower than the other HEBs I've been too. I love that it is not crowded and that I can shop in peace. The several times that I have been there the cashiers have been friendly and there was always someone on the floor that would ask if I needed help. I took off one star deduction because I went to the pharmacy twice and I didn't get good customer service. I felt like the dark skinned lady that I had to deal with gave me an attitude. The first time she made me fill out this form in which I kindly told her all the info that was asked on the form was already printed or written out on the prescription, and it was just the way she had answered me that made me mad. She answered me with an attitude "well it's policy". How stupid is it for me to fill out the exact information that is already on the prescription AND for her to verbally ask me the same questions?!?! Like really? You need to confirm the information three different ways?!?! Never been to a pharmacy that did that. Then the second time I went in to drop off a prescription, I dealt with the same lady again. I asked her how long it would take to fill ibuprofen, and she kind of chuckled and said "wells the lady in front of you just dropped off 4 prescriptions so it would be an hour." It was her tone of voice and demeanor that I found offensive. Will definitely not be returning to the pharmacy. read more

This HEB is very disappointing I don't know if they have changed management of the store but I can't shop here anymore. Even though it's 1 minutes from my house I drive to telfair store. The produce department has fruit flies everywhere there always out of everything. The only decent department is seafood. Not a friendly environment at all. If I needed something in a hurry I just go to Kroger. Upper management needs to do a surprise visit of this store without warning it said because Alaina subdivision was so excited about having a new HEB AND IT WAS GREAT in the beginning not sure what happened the last two to three months read more

Now THIS IS MY NEIGHBORHOOD HEB!!!! I love this place! The boiled crawfish on the weekends is so amazing. They do a great job. My family is from Louisiana, so I'm kinda picky about my crawfish and like it a certain way. They do it a lil different than I would, but it comes out really good. I recommend getting it fresh right after they cook it. I've been multiple times over the last month and had different results each time. The best was when I got it right after they boiled it and they mixed it with the garlic and seasonings. They also add zesty Italian salad dressing, which is new for me so I was skeptical at first. But it came out really good and juicy. The best part is I didn't have to cook it and rinse all those crawfish or do any of the work! Totally worth it! So that's about the crawfish...otherwise, the store is wonderful in itself. Love that it's so close to my house and it's not really super busy. I can even get herbs to plant in my garden. read more

Ok i love this HEB but i want management to please re-educate your baggers. Today i went there around 215-230 and checked out. When i was putting my groceries in the car, i was upset to see that my raw chicken breasts package was bagged with my fresh vegetables and my frozen dinner in a box was bagged with other perishables like my lemons and tomatoes. Never place raw chicken with fresh veggies or fruits- cross contamination!!! Also frozen boxed meals should not be with perishables because they can bruise or smash them ... please educate the baggers.... read more

Very convenient location off 99. Great staff and good choice of groceries and many other home goods. But just as many other stores, watch the expiration dates of your items, some may just expired and are not removed in time. read more
