Gross produce section as always. Most of my produce rots the next day. The parking lot is always full during the days and are dangerous to pedestrians. There's is a lot of traffic inside the store as well. Other then that, the employees are nice and items are easily accessible. Maybe open a few more registers too. read more

I love this store. Not because I enjoy grocery shopping but because I do not! The curbside pickup is the greatest thing for me. It allows me to control what goes in my basket, how much I spend and avoid overspending. Every order has been accurate and on time. Let me first of all say....This was my first time being inside of a H-E-B. I was so overwhelmed by the cleanliness and the order in which the food was displayed from Organic to Specialty Food along with amazing prices. I have been shopping for a large family for 37 years so I am pretty aware of what is what. I noticed they have store employees working hard for delivery orders. Not Instacart or other providers just their own in house delivery system and it looked like it was a well oiled machine. As I went through the store and saw all the cheese choices I was so happy to see that when I asked the lady working the counter for a specific goat cheese she obviously knew all about the cheeses. I felt I was in a specially store. I had my granddaughter with me and she had said she was sad that the kid carts were gone. An employee heard our conversation and said I will be right back and brought her a Shopper in Training cart. What a nice young man. We made our way through the store and I was able to buy high end supplements I normally order online. This store has it all. Found organic foods no problem and all the strange quirks I love to buy like Almond Crackers. At the end of our shopping spree my grandkids were given these tickets to spin a wheel and get these points. I can't remember what they are called but the kids before us spinning the wheel were so cute and my grandkids were over the moon. It just reminded me of the day's of green stamps or blue chip stamps and how much fun my mother and I had collecting those while shopping. Oh don't miss their bakery either!! Yummy! read more

I am seriously thinking about boycotting this HEB (and a few others). This one is closer to my house, however, I am willing to drive a little further out to avoid not finding what I need when I go to the grocery. This HEB ALWAYS has a few things I need and are out. There is a product that was out for 2.5 months! The packaged fruits $10/container with about 7 strawberries and 5 hard hard mango chunks (I am returning this for sure!). Don't get me started on the meat selection......the meats today at this HEB was horrible!! The meats first of all are WAY TOO EXPENSIVE and second the steaks have so much fat (and chunks of it hiding behind the label so y ou can't see all the fat)!!! I planned on buying a few ribeye's and they were either $20/lb. with loads of fat or the lowest $14.99 still had lots of fat. I left with no meat and my three bags of groceries was $118. The store was 5 stars before the remodel now it looks like um like um like - it's just blahh. It doesn't have the warmth and atmosphere they built the store on. It's still so confusing to find things. The way they reordered the groceries just don't make sense. Dog food is by the baby items, Toys take up a 1/4 of the center area. Olive Oil isn't with the other oils (more like 3-4 isles away). You would think the International foods would be close to the Italian and Mexican foods... nope you have to go 6-7 isles down by the grills and laundry soup to find it. Each time I walk in I just feel like it's now a task instead of an adventure like it use to be. read more

My family loves HEB! They are a great Texas company. We've been shopping at this location since it opened. We spend around $1,100 here monthly. We've always loved the customer service here... Until the last couple of months. They are ALWAYS understaffed! I literally can't remember the last time someone bagged our groceries. We always have to do it ourselves. The cashier will actually stop scanning and wait for you to catch up with your bagging?!?!?! And to add insult to injury, three Saturdays in a row we've had items get crushed by the cashier. Even the cleanliness of the store isn't what it was. When I was a kid, there was a discount grocer called Sack N Save. I'm afraid this HEB is going that route. We're very sad about this. This was OUR store and now it SUCKS... read more

Leander HEB Plus. The team there really seems to thrive on providing quality customer service. All departments are invariably well stocked. Aisle room is adequate, fresh produce, good fresh seafoods and fish. Huge meat department with all basic items ensuring reasonable pricing and prime, grass fed, organic beef, pork, chicken available too. The bread aisle houses numerous varieties and all the basic necessities are available in the grocery department there is also an extra-large garden department. They have lots of electronics and household items as well -that is the plus part of this H-E-B. The dairy department also contains many varieties of items including those that are sugarfree, fat free, or low-fat should you choose. Several isles of frozen goods and a very nice floral and houseware department. The seasonal department is extra big as well and you can easily pick up gifts, cards, balloons, or other specialty items. I also need to mention the wine department which is certainly adequate at this location. There is a little café with hot food available and some very tasty soups!There is a great deli and cheese department and a beautiful olive bar . Last but not least, there are always leaders available near the checkouts in sharing a reasonable wait time during even the busiest hours. Overall a very good experience My Leander H-E-B. read more

I really love this HEB for many reasons, but I am highly disappointed in one very important thing. First the positive. Plenty of parking. Many check out lanes open at peak times. Clean. Usually well stocked. Great coupons and sales. The negative. The biggest complaint is that the cashiers are VERY bad about bagging items behind them, behind the belt, and not giving the bag to you. I've had to go back several times to get things they neglected to give me. In the past they've not handed me full bags of meat, ice cream, medicine, and more. Tonight they didn't give me my $10 box of Oxyclean or my $4 box of borax, so again, I had to go back. Customer service tells me to go get the items like it's not a big deal, but it really is. I don't have the time to keep making multiple trips to the store. What if I've lost my receipt or don't realize until a few days later? Very frustrated. I shouldn't have to scan my receipt to verify that I got everything. It's the cashier's job to give me my items. If I could simply leave with all of my items when I buy them, I'd be much happier. read more

This H-E-B is clean, decently organized, and well stocked. Overall it's a pretty solid store. However, curbside pick up takes significantly longer at this H-E-B compared to other H-E-B sites I've been to. Regardless of whether you arrive on time, a few minutes early, or nearly late, and whether there are many cars or next to none waiting, curbside has taken no less than 25 minutes every time we've used it (7+ times). This is especially surprising given how many people seem to be working in the curbside area. We love H-E-B, and we will continue to use the store since we live in Liberty Hill and it's our closest option, but this is an area for improvement. read more

HEB has done a remarkable job for our community during this crisis. Everything from taking leadership and controlling the business with safe guarding their team and logistically planning everything for their customers has been done. Can they control shortages? No. Can they control how crappy inflation gets? No. But they do their best to accommodate. That said l, the team who has really come through lately that have impacted me is the curbside team. These people are out rain or shine, blistering heat or breezy to provide a service to those fortunate enough to use curbside. Frontline workers accommodating for customers. Not only that, but with a smile and they are all so courteous. I've had the pleasure of being helped by several awesome partners! I'd like to point out Chris R from curbside. We had a brief conversation while he loaded up my car. That young man has HEB spirit and embodies everything great about that store and location. I thanked him and offered to place an order for snacks for him and he declined and explained his commitment to customer service and expressed his willingness to contribute towards the companies Mottos. I ordered ice cream and cookies for the team anyhow ... but Kudos to him. HEB, you got yourself a growing star there. read more

They need more of these types of HEB. Their offerings of food selection are much better than those in my neighborhood. I have the same type, but we do not get what this location offers. I visited maybe once every two months, but I love the atmosphere. read more

We frequent this specific HEB every week and always enjoy! Very rarely is it ever overwhelming (like on Memorial Day weekend) we always find everything we need and tonight we had a very speedy and pleasant cashier Izaiah! We had nice conversation and he was very kind! See you next week! read more

Have to give a shout out to Aiden (I believe that was his name). We thought we had left a prime rib at the checkout counter and when I came back to the store Aiden took the time to check with the cashier AND the security cameras. With tomorrow being thanksgiving it was very busy so we appreciated him going the extra mile. He was able to tell (from the cameras) which bag the prime rib was placed in and we found it under a bunch of stuff - our bad! read more

Today at the checkout line I found a rotisserie chicken (a cooked one) literally laying on the ground, obviously a shopper changed their mind and couldn't put it back... so after I found it and picked it up off of the dirty floor, I handed it to be cashier and told him that it was just laying on the floor. Then to my shock, he handed it off to another employee and said "just take this back to where it came from" (right in front of me). H-E-B, you can afford to trash that rotisserie chicken that had been laying on the floor of the checkout aisle by everyone's feet for who knows how long. Warm or not, it doesn't have an air tight vacuum pack as if it were raw. -Maybe a manager should check it out before it just goes back on the shelf. read more

When I think of HEB, my mind goes to the wonderful HEB's that I've known and loved...the HEB Plus in Round Rock, the HEB at the intersection of 183 and 1431...the exquisite HEB on Parmer and 1431...and then I walk in to the worst HEB I have ever been to in my life! The HEB at the intersection of 183 and Hero Way in Leander. First of all, there's the parking. I hate the parking grid here so much--every time I go I redo it in my head. They have it set up so that cars back up and you have to wait and wait and wait to get a spot. They have one way parking lanes, two way parking lanes, and imagine this--almost all lanes require you to excite so that you're driving TO the front of the store...where people are trying cross, new customers are coming in--think major cluster. To add insult to injury, I am disabled and require handi-capped parking. Guess what! There is almost never an open handi-capped space. Several times I had to return home because the only place to park is way out in the boondocks...and I don't want to die just to get some groceries. Please, for the love of God, fix the parking situation! Then there are the people working at the store. There are some nice folks, but overall, most are grumpy--and sometimes actually dirty people. Dirty as in "my shirt is covered with stuff" dirty. Like, a gallon of milk spilled on me and I didn't have a clean shirt kind of dirty. At other HEB's you're greeted with warm hellos, by people who are at least faking happiness. At this HEB, forget it. There aren't many people too happy to see you. What's the deal? Are they working long hours? Are the managers not pumping them up? What gives? And if you like healthy, organic food, go to a different HEB. You can't even compare the deli at this HEB to the other deli's at the other HEB's. Everything is fried or greasy. This was the worse thing that I saw at the Leander HEB. Like I said, I park in the handi-capped spots. An elderly lady had one of those smaller carts and she could barely walk. She walked it over to the cart corral and put it in--and a young, dirty-shirt wearing man told her that the "little carts" didn't go there--and pointed to a different cart corral and told her to put it over there. I went over and took the cart for her--and took it where he asked. She was so upset--and so was I. Are you kidding me? She was like 80 years old...and by the way in case you didn't know--handicapped people are in PAIN. Sadly, I think they should call this place, "HEB minus." read more

So, this is for the HEB in Leander. We placed an order almost 2 weeks ago. Nothing extravagant. What we got was nothing close to what we ordered. We ordered apples... we got ONE APPLE. We ordered a 24 pack of Charmin... it was substituted for a SINGLE 4-PACK of an off-brand. We ordered numerous other things that were just simply left off the order. I get it. These are difficult times, but I am not impressed. At all. What I see are jacked up prices on common items and limited availability... Surely HEB can do better than this. read more

Curbside customer-- I pay more for curbside and "personal shopping". I get less. Not only does it take 45 mins to pick up groceries (the time it would take me to go inside), there is something wrong EVERY TIME. Rotten produce almost every time. Raw meat in with other foods-- cheese, lettuce, they don't care. I put a note stating the product I ordered is raw meat and to bag it alone or with other raw meat and STILL these illiterate idiots put the raw meat in with other foods. I call and nothing is done. You need to hold people accountable. Next up, they encourage you to note your sub preferences. I do for a few select items that are for my child with allergies. Without fail, they ignore the note and get something that he can't have. Don't bother ordering the 5 gallon bottles of water, they apparently want to keep bringing me 10 individual gallons every week instead of giving me a 5 gallon bottle and letting me deal with the refill process. And lastly, they encourage you to bring your bags for recycling! And then leave them sitting in your trunk. Please stop hiring people that don't know how to grocery shop and have no common sense. You should be embarrassed at this point. Until then, I'll keep calling for my refunds. Oh and the Cedar Park 183 location is worse, if that's possible. read more

Yes this store is incredibly busy but at least I know the items are always fresh-if you can find them. Produce manager is rude and ineffective at helping you when shelf is empty, never a problem with meat or bakery and Tim in Dairy is awesome at helping you. The worst part of the store is handing over 1k a month to unfriendly, rude, and slow checkers. Never do they greet you with a hello or say thank you. Using rebate checks or manufactures check is an embarrassment. Not to mention there is never anyone to bag my groceries. I'm almost considering going to Cedar Park HEB if this one doesn't start training its cashiers. read more

I've been in the Cedar Park/Leander area most of my life and H-E-B has always been around so I'm saddened that I can't stand them anymore. However, I have to recommend that you stay away. I deliver newspapers and drive by this store in the wee hours of the morning every day. A couple weeks ago, my car started acting up and I pulled into their parking lot for a bit to see what I could do. The car died as soon as I came to a stop and I couldn't revive it. Unfortunately, my phone had also died and the store was within a few minutes of closing, so I ran in and asked if I could quickly use the courtesy phone or get change for a pay phone. The night manager, (Willie?), instructed me that I could make a purchase and go on about my business. I ran through the checkout and bought some candy, thinking if I had change I could use a pay phone or something. When I finished, she told me the store was closed and I had to leave. A few minutes later, out in the parking lot, she reminded me that store was closed and said she was going to call the police if I didn't leave the premises immediately. To be fair, I don't usually look very presentable when I'm out on my route. I just roll out of bed and go, and don't bother with making sure my clothes or hair look presentable because I rarely encounter anyone. Maybe she thought I was homeless or living in my car or trying to break into a car full of newspapers since the hood was up or something, I don't know, but she didn't bother to lift a finger, even after I made a purchase. Regardless, I was terrified by her threat and ran off the parking lot until they left. The next evening, I called another manager and he said he'd talk to her about it but I never heard from anyone about any consequences of this. I still don't know what would possess someone to act like she did, but because of this hassle I was late finishing my route and almost lost my job. So as I said at the start, I grew up with H-E-B and I'm seriously shocked by this experience. There is a Randall's closer to my house, but I've usually gone out of my way to H-E-B because I thought the prices were lower and it's a Texas company. Not anymore - I am now a card-carrying Randall's shopper, and toss up any minor price differences to convenience, better quality produce and brands, and people who actually understand and strive to deliver great customer service. It doesn't take much to show you really care about your customers or your community, but H-E-B has shown me all it wants is my money. Therefore, they aren't getting any more of it! read more

I'm rating this HEB based on Curbside, the first three times were just impeccable. But then if they didn't have something, they went back to get something different, but brought out what they said they didn't have. Also, no one tells me if they were out of something and just give me what they have. Which if I walked in to get what is on my grocery list, I would find all of. So, I am back to going into the grocery store, as it is much better than being shorted items (invoice is always accurate to what they shorted me with), and replaced with whatever they please. I wouldn't get Curbside if I had to go through everything they did not tell me about, and wait until someone else comes and tells me I should have been told they didn't have those items. Takes as long as walking into the store and doing it myself. Sorry guys. My experience was awful - not one, but many times after that. I gave the benefit of the doubt. read more

This place is birth control plain and simple. BUT they still give you plastic bags so there is that. This is a HEB Plus. Which means it has groceries and department store fare as well. You can buy a baseball glove and hummus in me trip. I am not sure who this appeals to as I can't imagine there is a huge crowd of people who think they are too good for walmart, here in Leander?! No matter what time of day they always seem to have been ransacked but in random isles. It's almost like the weatherman told people it's going to be freezing tomorrow but instead of stalking up on water, milk and bread (like all good Texans do when the temp drops perilously below 32) they empty the place of store brand Cheerios and half and half. Meh. I've tried the sushi and while a appreciate the theater of someone actually making the sushi live and in person, it still tastes like sushi from a grocery store in central texas. The parking lot is a warzone. I've watched people empty their cart and instead of pushing it the strenuous 16-19 steps back to its home, they spend 5 minutes trying to angle it juuuuust right so they can leave it there or they strand it on one of the little grass islands. The rotisserie chicken is small and overpriced. But there is no competition in the immediate area so it's pretty much here or CVS. read more
