We recently moved to Bee Cave, and this H-E-B isn't too far from us. In my opinion, it's one of the nicest-looking H-E-Bs in Texas. It's huge and very open, almost Costco-like in feel. I stopped by the day before Thanksgiving, which wasn't the best time to shop, and it took a while to find everything simply because of how big the store is. You can end up covering multiple aisles just to grab one item. Not necessarily a bad thing, just something to get used to. Overall, the vibe is spacious and the people are pleasant. read more

Large variety of organics by HEB which I really like and also the cheese section has a large variety as well not so much the meats somehow it's not being properly cared for. Stop letting people bring pets into the store! It's disgusting. I've seen managers look right at customers doing this and say nothing. Service Dogs are 100% acceptable. I'm talking about PETS. It's beyond vile. It is happening right now, 5pm on 10/4/24 in produce! I'm tired of finding an associate to point this out while kindly asking them to let management know. The Texas Health Department would love to investigate something like this. It's against the health department code to have dogs or animals inside the grocery basket period!! It's unsanitary Ok!!! HEB isn't what it once was. I've been a loyal customer my entire life. Our relationship changed last week. I am now shopping elsewhere. Why? - I get digital advertisements presented to me that don't qualify at my store. - The products available vary between this store and the store 3 miles away -The lines are now consistently long and people are directed to self checkout. - The cashiers consistently forget to scan my coupons. Probably because they are trying to keep up with the lines. - The aisles are now congested with carts for servicing online orders. -I frequently bag my own groceries while baggers are engaged in side conversations or standing around -Contacting corporate is pointless. The Wimberley HEB is a small store but the staff definitely make up for its small size!

The H‑E‑B Pharmacy has the best, most professional pharmacy team that I have ever encountered. Every person on the pharmacy is friendly, helpful and assists me in getting my medications. This is one of the most awe-inspiring grocery stores I have ever been in. It is huge. It has everything. It is one of the most crowded places on Earth. Still, this is my ideal grocery store and the one I compare wherever I go. This HEB basically has everything. There is a massive produce section, a huge meat section (although I admit I have never really gone through there much), an immense bakery, all kinds of cosmetics and pharmacy goods, and, of course, food for everyone. There is even a special aisle for vegans and gluten free patrons. And the wine! There is such a great wine section, often with free samples. Everyone I have ever encountered working there has been a total sweetheart. I have returned things, and they were always cool. Every checkout stand is manned with a smile, even though it often looks like Disney World in June with wall-to-wall people. I once even stood at the end of an aisle watching the chaos of carts ramming one another, and the friendly employee just smiled and asked how she could help in between the insanity. I truly don't know how they manage to have such positive attitudes. I only subtract a star because of the crowds, which is sort of unfair I realize, as this is not the store's fault. They are just really awesome, and I can only assume that people are hip to this, so they travel to come here. Oh, and did I mention there is also a restaurant and bar? Yeah, everything is here. I got a recommendation to eat at the restaurant that's attached to HEB. It's called Table 620. It's like Table 57 in Houston, but they have a larger menu of comfort food and a full bar. I had time to get coffee. They have two strengths of good tasting coffee where you pick up the cup at the order counter: one regular and one strong. They have all types of sweeteners, and they also have agave nectar at the bar. It was around noon time, and I expected the coffee to be extremely burnt, but it Was better than expected. The service here is helpful and really quick. Their restroom is modern, clean and touch-less, and everything worked. The people here are very helpful, even in the store. HEB desserts and displays look really good. The gift store is very nice and they have a big selection of flowers. I would definitely come back for a meal. I checked out some of the neighboring orders, and they look as delicious as their advertisements. I think this is the nicest grocery store overall that I have been to As far as a balance of quality, variety, presentation, and service. read more

I work in healthcare so I appreciate the steps H-E-B seemed to be taking to protect the health of their customers and staff. At the only access point into the store they made me switch baskets because I brought one in from the parking lot. Then they suggested hand sanitizer and reminded me about social distancing. All good things! Unfortunately, that is were it seems where the enforcement stops. Half of the staff, stockers, people at the entrance and exit, and some at the checkout were not wear person protective equipment. The clerk (wearing a mask) and checking out my items made sure everyone in her line stayed on the red social distancing box, and yet the lady bagging my groceries was not. I looked behind me and the cashier behind me was not either. I really like this store and the people, but no one in my 520 employee agency gets into the building without a screening. No one walks through the public spaces without a mask. The virus lives on surfaces for quite awhile and while you have lots of uninformed or uncaring customers coming in without masks, the employees should uniformly either be doing it. I understand, PPE is not fun to wear - it's uncomfortable, but so is getting put on a respirator. read more

Well one can hardly go wrong with HEB. They stand for quality, sustainability and sound customer service. Though at my last visit when I was checking out at the counter, the staff by mistake dropped the bag of organic grapes which we had bought. He quickly filled the bag up , threw away all the grapes in the trash, which could have been easily washed and used. I had no problem purchasing the product instead of seeing it being thrown away in trash. I expected him to at least ask me if I was fine to use it but within a split of second it was trashed. He did offer me another bag but still wasting food which was still good to be consumed somewhat bothered me. HEB should look up into these kind of events and frame policies accordingly. read more

How lucky to have this incredible HEB so close to home! After a much anticipated wait, watching the construction as they built it (they will come), this ONE OF A KIND HEB opened today. So excited about a grocery store? Yup! MUCH more than just a market, and now I don't have to make the journey down to Bee Cave or up to Four Points. First, this place is huge - a massive 100,000 sq ft. and was reportedly custom built and tailored to the "Lake Travis lifestyle"...whatever that means. Lol. As part of the Oak at Lakeway Center (still under construction; will have bowling alley, restaurants, retail, etc.), HEB is a great and welcomed addition to the community. So, yes, groceries: vast produce section )inc. local and organic), all the average essentials, an extra large olive bar, a cheese department that offers 300+ varieties (from local to international) including in-store made mozzarella, juice bar with assorted fresh choices daily, and so on and so on. Other than the wine sampling bar, one of the things I'm most excited about it the butcher counter. This location does in-store dry-aged beef AND you can choose your cut (full loin required, but at about 400 bucks for ~20 ppl not bad for a special occasion), tag it with your name, and stop by from time to time to view it behind the glass for a span of 21 to 121 days during the process before taking it home and throwing on the wood burning grill (can't wait!)...or buy a couple pre-aged steaks at a premium price for a party of two. Oh, and GREAT selection of craft beers (inc. local Lake Travis brewery favs Infamous and Oasis Texas) and wines from all regions. The floral department, called Blooms, is exquisite and also stocks many home goods for purchase. There are tons of artisan items that make great gifts (e.g., jewelry, soaps, etc...and even handbags!). Certainly makes the mundane task of grocery shopping much more fun, albeit more time consuming and perhaps (okay, maybe for sure) more expensive. Don't really feel like "cooking?" Then you can dine-in at Table 620, the counter service restaurant and FULL bar inside the store. [Note: Sadly wasn't open on first day, so will have to check it out later and write an updated review.] OR, you can peruse The Meal Simple station pre-packaged foods (with nutritional info on each, and great portion control) that you take home and bake for about 20 minutes all for a mere ~$6-8 p/p. Simple and inexpensive. My hubby was thrilled to see this section and stated "I'll cook!" Um, yeah...haha...I'm actually thrilled too. :D As with almost all HEBs I've been to, the customer service at the Lakeway store is stellar - even on day 1. Well-trained, knowledgeable, and friendly. And trust me, with all this vastness, you will have questions and possibly some need directions (or just pick up or look at one of their maps available throughout the store). Happy hunting! I like this H-E-B, and it has the added perk of being an HEB+. Most of the 'Plus' stores have something special added to their extra-large store footprint; this one has an awesome outdoors leisure section (where you can buy lawn furniture, grills, plants, that sort of thing), and its very own bar/restaurant, Table 620 (which I reviewed and gave 3 stars). Prices are in line with other HEBs, and I like the fact that this shopping center is so new and clean. The gas station is new, and it seems that all the pumps work! Pro Tip: There is a Torchy's Tacos 'coming soon' to the spot across the street. If you're a fan like me, what's there not to like? (Aside from the fact that it's not open yet.) read more

Huge busy HEB. Crowded. Get ready to dodge the personal shoppers, HEB curb side shoppers with their huge rolling shelves which block everything and other paid shoppers, they don't care and are very aggressive due to time constraints, as well as the local shoppers who seem frantic to obtain their goods. They have So many varieties of individual products that they don't stock enough of the product I want. Example sold out of one coffee everyone likes. Plenty of other coffee no one wants. Out of frozen cherries, no pies today, sometimes they have pie but the tiny bakery has an extremely limited selection. Out of HEB 12 packs of soft drinks. People don't want the huge section of 5 dollar a 12 pack name brands. Out of small bags of dog food, but there are hundreds of pounds of large bags of dog food. Two kinds of ketchup etc. This is at 3:30 on Sunday. If you go at night you won't be able to find at least 25% of what you want. Make sure to watch the baggers unless you're doing it yourself. Get home and find items missing. These are just some examples. Cashiers are so busy they don't have time to smile and frequently other impatient shoppers practically push you through the check outs. OK, so this is my local HEB and I think the best part is that they have a bar! YES, A BAR! "Ok honey, I'll go to the store on the way home....." Happy Hour start at 2:30PM, WOW! ends at 6:30 PM and it is $1 off beer that is inexpensive in the first place. The other great thing is that there is NO TIPPING! Signs up all over the place stating that tips are donated to local charities. Oh, BTW. It is a pretty nice grocery store. read more

Normally, I do grocery shopping at HEB at Four Points or Bee Cave. If I do not want to get into traffic in rush hour, I will go one of Randall's in between these 2 HEBs. I am so happy to see HEB opens new store in Lakeway area. Further more, this HEB is not only bigger than other 2 HEBs, but it also has lots of Asian ingredients and snacks. That means I do not have to drive another 40 minutes to cross the town to get the stuffs. :) read more

Love the new HEB ... & the HEB Table 620 cafe & bar ... live music is often played during weekends. Noce indoor eating area and bar area as well as an outdoor patio where there is a "stage" for musicians to perform. The new look of the store is spacious and it's built with green-friendly standards. This place seems to always be bustling with people. The bakery offers beautiful array of sweets and breads. Folks are friendly and helpful. read more

If you need flowers I suggest you try one of their other stores. This store has an advertisement for roses on valentines day. I went to the store at 10:00 am and there was no red roses. I asked the (Blooms Manager) Vanessa she said the truck is late and you can come back. I said I am a customer you have lots of flowers here can you give me some others at a discount. She said we lose money on the advertised roses and I can not do anything for you. I stood there stunned for a minute then I said Wow you have a bad attitude. I then asked for the manager and after 10 minutes Paul shows up and fixes the problem. This has been my experience. read more

He not only goes above and beyond for his customers , he is highly Knowledgeable and passionate about wine and he cares. Every time I meet him it shows. Customer service is dead. Sorry. Just dead. Not sure when it died but it was violent and sad. Got a pie for Christmas. Totally raw in the middle. Took it back got a whole lot of don't really care and a credit back on my card... oh well. Packaged salad is usually half rotten and I get the same great customer service. "What's wrong with it?", "it's rotten.", "Do you have your card?... it credited back." Initially I gave them 1 star but over the last 6 months or so they seem to have gotten better so I updated the review. Still not a great place to return things but they are more helpful at times in finding things. Prices are better than their competitors. Produce is generally better than Randall's but not as nice as Whole Foods. read more

I have had continually problems with this location but today tops it all. I went in last Tuesday to pickup all my medications. Not all was there so reordered my medications that didn't get on Tuesday. So yes had to come in twice to pick up medication already said was ready days before. This has happen 3 separate times now. So something isn't right with process here at this location or HEB Pharmacy in general. Went in today to pickup and was told still not have it, then let me know that was in another area to be restocked. Asked how could be restocked when just ordered 2 days ago from when came to pick up 2 days ago. She said was ordered over a week prior. I explained I came in 2 days ago and had to reorder because wasn't there. When the person helping me Gwen let me know its my responsibility to make sure they fully check every where for my medications very rudely. Then I got upset and didn't realize was my responsibility to know where you stock or run your business but how ever done wasn't being done to make my life easier. And I would take my business else where. I paid and she walked off to not come back and had to call button to get a Pharmacist over to hand me the medication. I let know what had been just told to me and that I wanted to put in a complaint on what her assistants where tell customers. I've always have had a good experience with HEB but they need some help with process at Pharmacy and the way staff treat customers. I will move back to walgreens now because of this situation and Gwen at this location. Absolutely have never had a business tell me its my responsibility that they know where my medications are held. Nor cared when I explained 3rd time this has happen with having to come back for the same medications because all wasn't there when picked up. Again all had to say about it was my responsibility to make sure they look in system and everywhere for medications. Worst customer service at night. It took forever to find someone to help me find an item. When I finally saw someone who looked like a manager of some kind, I had to yell go get his attention. He saw me and as I was saying that I needed help, he lifted his finger, indicating to give him a minute. After, he literally ran off. I stood there for ten minutes before I went the way he went trying to find him. In the end, I asked someone else who helped me. I never saw that guy again. read more

I work at an HEB so I know how important it is to their company to give excellent customer service. Unfortunately I did not see that given at this HEB. I asked a lady in the aisle where the cake mix was (I am from Beaumont, not Austin) and she rudely and sarcastically said "the cake mix is where the cooking supplies are" and pointed to a random aisle. Keep in mind I am in a hurry to bake this. After I find it I decide it might be a better option to just buy one from the bakery, I go back there and the lady behind the counter is just as rude. Great layout. We did not have trouble finding anything while we were shopping here. The staff was seemingly friendly and the location is great since there is really nothing out in Lakeway. If you are any semblance of a regular customer, expect to receive dirty looks and terrible customer service. I'm from New York, yet this staff makes New Yorkers look like Mormons. There are policies put in place to specifically target those shopping for companies like instacart or favor, such as making shoppers bag their own groceries while the original bagger can stand behind and watch. These rules only apply to this Lakeway store and literally no other HEB in Austin. When asking about these rules, you will only receive untruthful platitudes about "company policy". Who hurt the management at this store so bad that they must be so petty towards people trying to make a living like them? I would recommend the Randall's, Target, or other nearby HEB all within 10 minutes of this location read more
