Their curbside pickup is awful. Both times I used it, I was missing items. They will also substitute items that you picked for much more expensive items. Kroger doesn't do that. They eat the price difference if they substitute something. I'll never use them again. read more

This HEB is just too small. As another user said, they don't keep the shelves stocked very well. And because of small size of this site they have a limited stock. One thing I get every week is bananas. I get them slightly green since I want them to last most of the work week (and I don't like them overly ripe). They never have them green here and they are almost always pretty bruised up when compared to bananas at the Fry Rd HEB. They were out of plain quick grits this last trip. Not sure how that's possible. This is a staple and should always be stocked. In any case, I only come here when I'm leaving the mall. I only stop at this one so I don't waste gas going to another HEB. read more

YAY! and Boo! I love the new HEB we needed another HEB to ease the congestion at the Grand Pkwy location. While I love all the choices this store offers which include the great fresh bread bakery, the sushi 'bar', and great wine selections, and pharmacy. I was hoping they would have made this location a "Central Market" HEB, the flower shop's selection is minimal, and while the pastry shop is ok, I am still going to have to drive to Highland Village if I want a slice of Mango Mousse cake. I am a huge H-E-B fan, but was very disappointed in my visit today. I understand limitations on stock right now because of Covid-19. No issues there. But I was very disappointed at the so-called "social distancing." Customers were following protocol for the most part but many employees were not. There were so many personal shoppers loading their carts that it was difficult to maintain any distance. They would stop and visit each other, block aisles and make it difficult to choose produce. At other stores, I see managers patrolling and keep their eyes on customers and employees, but did not observe that today at all. I will be shopping elsewhere till this health crisis is resolved. At 68, I am in the vulnerable group and can't afford to be exposed. read more

A good HEB with few issues. There are just about always short lines at registers, and the store is well stocked. The only issues I find with this location are the beef selection and the occasional pushy sample worker. I really don't someone trying to guilt me into buying a bag of chicken wings, or sushi, or whatever it may be. Good selection of fruit, and decent selection of vegetables. H-E-B just seems to have a higher standard of clean compared to a WalMart especially in the produce section. read more

So today I was reading reviews and comments and a wonderful Yelp gentleman by the name of Brian G, who happens to be a Yelp friend of mine inspired me to do a very nice thing for my husband. I always cook but a step further. In his review he went to H.E.B and purchased Lobster and lamb for his wife tonight. So I decided what a great idea. I went and picked up his favorite fresh catfish. Fresh large shrimp and a few other things I know my husband will love. Also while there an employee sort of help me around the store helping add a few items. Like candles, certain massage oils and seasonings that were in the stockroom, and his favorite beer. He works out of town a lot and he works hard. He drives home today & I wanted to surprise him with a candlelight dinner of his favorite seafood and give HIM a foot and body massage. Usually he gives them to me so tonight everything is backwards I'm catering to my husband. Thanks again Brian G. For a wonderful idea. The store was very clean as always. Everything is neat and well organized. The employees are always friendly and helpful. My experience is always very satisfying and pleasant at HEB. Always so helpful. I passed a woman and ask her about a specific kind of candle (I had already looked in candle aisle and was wondering if maybe there were other candles elsewhere). She pointed me towards the seasonal aisle and a while later came up to me with 2 other candles to show me :) so sweet. Even though this HEB location is farther away from where we live than the location on Fry Rd., we prefer to shop at this HEB. I almost feel like I'm shooting myself in the foot writing this review, but my duty as a Yelper comes before my own comfort, I suppose. This HEB is much less crowded and claustrophobic than the other locations closer to Katy. It has all the same amenities like a bakery, pharmacy, deli, meat and fish markets, and a better selection, especially of organic food and green products. They have a state-of-the-art frozen food section, which means that they have those freezers that don't light up until they sense that someone is walking by them. It's kind of creepy. It's like I'm grocery shopping in the future,and the future is now. At least it's an eco-friendly sort of creepy. The store is laid out in a pretty intuitive manner so that it's easy for new shoppers to navigate. A super deluxe amenity that I haven't experience before at other locations is that the people they have manning the checkout lines will unpack your carts for you! I was a little weirded out by that, actually, but I guess other people appreciate it more or they wouldn't do it. They have self check-out stations as well. All in all, this is a good, solid grocery store with a great selection, friendly staff, and less crowding from other shoppers. You can't ask for much more than that. read more

I liked this store location a lot better before they reorganized all their aisles. I just find it hard to understand why the teabags are not on the aisle with the coffee and the K Pod tea but instead are over with the Apple juice and lemonade on a different aisle. A lot of the other changes also make little sense splitting up items that are normally on the same aisle. These changes just make the shopping experience frustrating read more

I live in Katy and prefer this HEB over the rest. The store is very clean inside and well stocked. Time in line to check out is minimal. Additionally, this store (as well as the HEB Plus on South Fry) stocks a plethora of specialty items not found at other HEBs. I like it because it is not as crowded and congested as the other locations. This is definitely my grocery store of choice. read more

Today I had the worst experience at the H-E-B after being out of power for three days and trying to get some groceries at this H-E-B by the manager we came in before 8 o'clock to get some groceries which we lost due to power outage for the three days and the manager pushed us out the office out of the H-E-B telling us we need to hurry or we won't have the chance to have our groceries at the register because nobody's at the register when I told him that we were out of food and we need food he said I understand but you have to be out in five minutes because I cannot promise that somebody's at the cash register to check you outI cannot believe that a manager like this without any conscience could not give a person with a child just 15 minutes to get her groceries after a severe weather condition out of power outage how inhumane can somebody be in takes it upon himself to lose 15 minutes out of their life I was very disappointed my daughter grabbed her cheese and we left but I will never come to that store again read more

Staff are always very friendly,patient, and helpful! This place is always clean. Of course HEB has those great meal deals and super low prices all the time. My favorite thing about HEB is the sushi. I arrived at 10:05pm on Saturday night after a 13 hour shift to get groceries. Your side entrance is blocked. I go in the other entrance. Only lane 1 and 2 are open. The side by your floral cooler is also blocked. All lanes proceeding are also blocked off. There is no way to enter with a cart. You are open for other 2 hours but don't make an entrance for your guests! I ask the manager when do I get in? He told me go past the team member who is standing at lane one. She is not making any effort to move out of the way. He then says he will open up another lane. I gave up and left! This is absolutely ridiculous. If it was 11:30pm and you are closing soon I could understand the hesitation to allow any more new guest. Why would you block all entrances when you have 2 more hours of business? Also why are your team members not making it easy for a guest to come in the store? Blocking the entrance is no way of getting me back into the store! I am very disappointed! I am now having to drive across town to go to another grocery store because of your poor management. read more

Their pharmacy is the best one in the area. They are super fast, friendly, and reliable. The prices are comparable to Walgreens. My only regret is that I waited so long before trying them out! read more

My wife and I started shopping weekly at HEB Nelson Way after we moved to our new home in Cinco Ranch NW in April, 2014. We were hardly greeted at checkout; and very seldom were we offered "Thank you for shopping..." after transactions. We really missed the friendly folks at HEB Westheimer & Kirkwood when we lived in that neighborhood; there we were ALWAYS greeted at checkout, and offered "Thank you for shopping...." We will start shopping elsewhere soon. Can't wait till a new Kroger MarketPlace opens in Cinco NW. read more

This is currently my closest grocery store. Finding quality, low cost organics is most important to me in a grocery store. Their stock of organics is inconsistent and unreliable when it comes to perishables, but sometimes they are competitively priced. Despite talking to managers I'm often frustrated by the lack of organic cream-cheese, organic plain yogurt and organic buttermilk. I have on 3 different occasions found out of date dairy on the shelves. Half the time they are out of organic potatoes while the other half of the time they are tiny, half-rotten and overpriced. I can't remember the last time I saw an organic melon, grapes, or berries. If they could make sure they at least consistently carry organic produce on the Dirty Dozen list, I would be happier. It would also be nice if they had a "hot to go" section with hot soups, salad bar and take-out style dinner items like some of their larger stores. And, can we just get rid of the Buddy Bucks machines altogether since they hardly ever are NOT broken? Surely management has no idea the arguments and tantrums this situation causes. I can't wait til the new Kroger opens. read more

I went to this store to return a product that I had bought for my daughter that wasn't the right one. It should have been a very easy return as I purchased it the day before and had my receipt. I stood at the service desk for 20 mins while the clerk made conversation with 2 customers. She sent me over to the express register to an employee who did not know how to do a return. While she figured it out, a line backed up at that register because like normal there were only 4 registers open. I've quit shopping at this store on a regular basis because the lines are always long and there are very few registers open. I'm all about being customer service oriented but excess conversation needs to be kept to a minimum when there are others customers waiting for an excessive amount of time. This happened on a Wednesday morning at 9am. I've become a Kroger customer. They always have plenty of registers open, stocked shelves and better quality produce. read more

Never been real happy with this location. Not one of the better stores and today was the best example of why. I was looking for a location, in Katy, that is roasting Hatch chilis. Went into the store, asked an employee in the produce section, she informed me I needed to inquire at the service desk, I asked where that would be, she said next to the restrooms and walked off......ok, in my experience they are not located in the same section. But....I head towards the front of the store only to find a young man texting. I wait, and wait, and then inform him I need service. I ask if he can find out which store is roasting Hatch chilis. He says "I don't have the store numbers on me, you can look them up and call". No shit! however a) this is a big event here, you should know and b) it is my experience store employees get faster, better service when they call......He then walks behind the counter and exits through a door. The seems to be typical service in Katy, TX anymore. Damn, damn, damn. read more

This HEB has the lowest standards of any HEB in which I have shopped in Texas. They do not carry Beef Ribs with meat on them. Even Walmart has better ribs. In one month I purchased two Apple a pies which were no cooked long enough. I purchased deli meat frequently; each time the expiration date is exactly one week from the date of purchase. The manager insists these dates are true and accurate. More times than I can count I purchased sliced ham that was green around the edges. One half (1/2) inch, the next day it was one inch. Other deli food is inconsistent at best. I can no longer purchase Crackers without Sea Salt. Same with black olives. And their advertisements mostly feature HEB Brand food. I personally dislike 99% of their brand foods. The Manager at this HEB on Nelson Way in Katy, Texas should be replaced. He has no clue about class and substance. One more thing: HEB should be a step above the rest. Yet they sell and advertise Tyson Brand Chicken. Everyone knows Tyson's record on Poutry. It is the worst in the industry. I would never risk the health of my family to buy such a brand. If you want to shop at an HEB in Katy I suggest the one on Fry Rd. They are far superior to the Nelson Way location. read more

Was shopping at this HEB yesterday- one aisle over was an employee with a cleaning cart - on it was a big trash can with another one (like the ones at the ends of the aisles) stuck inside it. Also an upside down, really dirty broom was mounted on the cart . In addition to trash, guy was "cleaning" the shelves and straightening items with the same hands he was handling trash . The disgusting broom was right up against the items on the outer part of the shelves because the cart was so close . You'd like to think the items up that high dont get the broom/mop contact the ones close to the floor occasionally get. Pretty gross technique for a grocery store - at least mount the broom right side up so the dirt stays below and how about separating the shelf organizing/cleaning from the trash/sweeping duties? read more
