Currently this store is going through a re-set where they are moving the products and items. In regards to the produce area, I like the changes that have been made. I am looking forward to more improvements in other departments. It's made the produce more accessible and open. The produce is always fresh and at competitive prices. The meat section has plenty of variety and choices. If you need something specific the butcher can prepare it for you upon request. There are plenty of partners available to assist you through the store. They are pretty friendly and helpful. The store is clean and well lit. The cashiers are quick and well trained to get you in and out the lines. As a courtesy you can have bags taken to your car. Overall, this is a great store and I would recommend. read more

H-E-B - Loving this crustless bread. - Grocery Near Me - Houston, Texas

The people who could get here opened up and supplied all of us in the area who are trapped on the west side with hurricane provisions! Thanks to these hardworking, kind people!! read more

Every-time I come her, finding parking is a challenge. The lines are usually long, even the self-checkouts. They have a well-stocked health and beauty section. read more

I work near here, and stop in often to pick up things to munch on in the office. The prices are good. I got sushi today.... Philadelphia roll with smoked salmon (they also offer it with crab). It was super salty (and no, I did not add ANY soy sauce), and I didn't finish it. The HEB brand hummus is delish, and was priced well. I also picked up some other yummies that are not HEB exclusive, but the prices were very good. I don't use this as my regular grocery store, because it's too far, but it's nice to pop in and grab some lunch. Check-out lines were minimally backed up, and they opened one up to accommodate the crowds. I love the layout of HEB's, and would probably shop here more if it was closer. read more

I am new to Texas and just LOVE H-E-B grocery store!! I looked up the history of the store's name and that just made me LOVE it even more!! Named after Howard E. Butt, youngest son of Florence Butt. Florence opened the C.C. Butt Grocery Store in 1905, and her youngest son, Howard, took over the business in the 1920's. This the name acronym: H-E-B read more

HEB is always great HEB is very consistent I like that HEB has products that I like for a fair price. I hope HEB stays in Texas for the rest of my life. I couldn't imagine losing them... When I lived in Florida I had to shop at Publix and it was definitely a step down from HEB in terms of service and quality. FOUR STARS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

At first I thought that HEB was doing a terrific service with their Curb-side pick up. Sadly all it showed me was how greedy and self-serving they are. I ordered on 3/22/20 and the order wouldn't be ready until 4/5/20...so if you don't mind waiting 2 weeks for your food...try HEB. Secondly, they say they can substitute another similar item. Sorry HEB if I ask for an item and I'm PAYING for it.....either give it to me...or skip it because it's out of stock. Why should I pay for something I don't want or like ? Also if you look at their available items...it's all their store brand....so the greedy POS are just hawking their own inferior brands. Then they tell you you can add up to 4 more items to your order....before pick-up. Tried that and the new delivery date was 4/11/20. Convenient....NO. Will never shop their again. read more

They have lots of stuff and prices are good overall. Couple of things they should improve: - too many mistakes made by cashiers, so be careful about items entering your receipt. - then when you want to correct the receipt, customer service line is too long; one reason is obviously too many mistakes by cashiers. read more

When I call and ask a question their response shouldn't be "For What?" I called and asked what time does customer service close and the response was "For What?" Instead of just giving me a time. read more

I like this H-E-B because its in a convenient location. Plus, I like their bulk section and fresh juice bar. Right now, I am addicted to carrot juice and this is the place to go. Plus, their bulk section has dark chocolate trail crunch. Yum! I can't find this item anywhere instead of this H-E-B. I thought that all H-E-B are alike but no. read more

This HEB seems to get worse by the day. From not accepting Cashapp cards to the baked goods that are overcooked and burned every single time I visit now. The cashiers don't even greet you let alone make eye contact with you while checking out! Let's not forget the horrendous pot holes in the parking lot! This was once my favorite HEB, especially since we don't have many in the area. read more

The service was good....they have a lot of different products from organic to speciality itmes...just do not go there on a saturday...they are super busy!!! read more

This is my favorite HEB I go here all the time if I want to get anything I always go to H-E-B over at Walmart Kroger's or Randles one because they're not as expensive for to their real clean for three there just the best I mean for real everything here is better I mean hereeverything is better ha ha LOL I love it read more

This HEB location did a fantastic job during Hurricane Harvey . First, they were stocked and ready for us BEFORE the storm and secondly, AFTER the storm they opened up and had a fully implemented system that limited our shopping time and limited to one bread, one milk, one egg carton... it was clearly marked throughout the store. We had 10 min to shop which was plenty of time since most of us were just buying what we had run out of from our first hurricane preparedness shop. Every single employee I ran across was friendly and willing to help out, the cashiers were so quick and I cannot forget to mention the ladies and gentlemen at the front door!! They were amazing and so kind! Gave clear instructions and ran through the process for us several times. Thank you HEB for being such an important part of Houston and always lending a hand to those who need you! read more

I like this HEB. They always have what I'm looking for, and I love the self checkout!

If I could give this HEB a no star I would.'My husband and I are traveling with our business and we love HEB we get their sushi which is always good! Now we were there last night and tonight and had yet again a horrible experience with the customer service. The cashier was the previous cashier we had last night which was also a nightmare. She treated us like shit tonight like she did last night and we feel she needs a new job her name is TIA and she is so not good with customers and deserves to work in the back room. Our sacker guy not sure his name but he was just very kind and bagged our groceries with a A+ read more

SHITTIEST H-E-B. Denied me my entry right with my service dog. Told me i couldn't come in with her in her bag. I've been in here multiple times and no one has asked me to leave. This is horrible. And i will never go back and encourage other to seek a different H-E-B read more

I was on the hunt for pickling cucumbers about a month back, and was very happy to find some here plus they were on sale. Most stores in the area weren't carrying them so I was happy with that alone. Will go back soon to look through more of the store. HEBs tend to run lots of specials, and I like their buy one product and get lots of other freebie deals. read more

This HEB is where I do most of my grocery shopping; they pretty much have everything you need here. There is a pretty heavy flow of foot traffic in this location, but the cleanliness and simple organization keep the aisles from being packed. The aisles and sections are marked and easy to navigate through. Plenty of items and different brands and options for them, and for the most part always stay stocked. I think the only time I've ever not found something was during the crazy holiday seasons where everyone seems to be making cheesecake or some sort of cream cheese dip. Prices are competitive and pretty cheap compared to other grocery stores. Cashiers and floor staff are all pretty friendly. I noticed that HEB does a pretty good job with hiring lively, outgoing characters. Many times I've struck up some pretty nice conversations with them while getting my items checked out. This is also where I tend to get my gas. I'm not too particular on finding the best gas prices as long as it is relatively low. This HEB tends to be pretty cheap compared to the average. I am always very pleased with the products offered and the customer service here. The only thing is late at night when only a few registers are open, the lines can get a little long. Still, I'm glad this is my neighborhood HEB. read more

From the treacherous parking lot to the mediocre produce, from the deli staff lazily chatting instead of waiting on customers to the seafood guy who laughed when I inquired about fresh salmon, from music so loud you can't hear the cashiers even if they made an attempt to acknowledge you, from the sackers who have no clue how to sack groceries to the condescending managers who just smile through your complaints with no intention of ever addressing them, this is, by far, the worst HEB I've ever had the displeasure of entering. Never again. read more

Not as awesome as the HEB on Bunker Hill or Westheimer/Kirkwood, those 2 are larger and have many more products not available at this location, but its close enough in quality to get 4 stars. Always clean, good parking lot and prices usually cheaper than the Wal-mart across the street. Bonus points for being among the only places on HWY 6 where you can find cold St. Arnold beers on Sundays. read more

This location is a little pricier than others. But they have a lot of specialty food and drink items. I like the sushi bar. You can always get it fresh if you like. I have noticed lately that they have a lot of food samples on Sundays, including wine samples! read more

They had a sale on bone-in rib eye on Fourth of July. Went through the check out and was told that there's limit of 2 for each FAMILY. There was nothing printed as such. It said "limit 2" with $10 purchase. Where did these people go to school or learn English. Try to interpret that! Lol! read more

I've been going to this HEB for almost 4 years. They are always well stocked and have great customer service. The cashiers are usually pretty quick too! read more

My complaints are that it doesn't have a salad bar, that the produce never seems to be all that great., the people working there don't seem all too attentive to their customers, & that the variety isn't as wide as it should (or as I hope it to) be. Honestly I only go here when I'm in the area & need groceries or when I don't feel like going to the Bunker Hill one (closest to me). It's standard for your basic grocery needs... just not for making your own salad or buying some of the fruit they've got over there. read more

They need to teach their employees how to bag groceries!!! You don not put heavy can items on top of bread, cookies or chips!!! The next time I have to re-bag my groceries while putting them in the trunk I will turn around go back into the store with all that I bought, return it get my money back and go somewhere else! Very dissatisfied customer on the brink of finding another grocery store, keep it up and you will not be My HEB!! read more

My favorite grocery store!! They have everything you could look for. Very neat and clean. I also think they have cheap prices!

Used to be my go-to for groceries, but now that they have implemented the Curbside Pickup/Delivery, it's a nightmare in the store. There are employees walking around with what at first appear to be stocking shelves just blocking most of the aisles. But upon further inspection, they are the shoppers for curbside/delivery orders. The aisles are not wide enough and the shoppers are not fast enough to accommodate this hot mess they've created. Walmart or Fiesta, here I come. read more

The only grocery store that I've seen to actually remove all of the food from the cool section and clean it out. They had staff removing everything and cleaning. 10pm and later. The best grocery store I've ever shopped at! I've lived in a couple of different states and have been to many different grocery stores but this has been the best! Even better than the higher priced grocery stores! They have a big selection of organic which is reasonably priced and they usually have some great in store deals every week PLUS you don't have to get a silly card to get sale prices. I really like that! =D read more

So I have never in my life written a bad review on anyone but I am livid. Yesterday I needed my ID for something and noticed that I didn't have it. So when I remember that the cashier at the HEB on Kirkwood didn't give me my ID I had to drive 10 minutes to go and get it. Mind you I've been driving for 2-3 days without having any identification. When I get there I ask to speak to a manager. When I walk inside I see the cashier that took my ID I asked her where it was and she is looking at me like she has never seen me before and that I was wrong so I turn and the manager is right there. I tell her my ID wasn't given back to me did y'all receive a lost ID she goes no ma'am we haven't I said it wasn't today. She says I know we haven't but we can go check. Instead of saying I'm not sure let's go check or instead of leading me over there period she points and says you can check over there. I find that crazy that you don't practice the right customer service and walk me over somewhere. They have that bad over there. That HEB treats their customers like Walmart customers. And I hate Walmart. So when I get over there I'm waiting for a 1 minute and I first have to say is she the only one and then that's when the lady goes I'll be right with you. So then the ASM Rhonda that was helping me at first decides to finally walk over there with another employee. She opens a drawer. Mind you she opens a drawer that was not locked. Which pisses me off even more because I've had my wallet stolen before along with someone stealing my identity from it. So I'm thinking anyone has access to my ID because it's not locked away in a safe. Anyways, she looks at the idea instead of asking me she shows the red shirt employee who I have never talked to if it was me and then the employee ask if it was me. In my head I'm like wow okay. So I said yes. I grab my ID and thats when I proceed to tell her that y'all need to make sure that your employees give the IDs back to the customers because it's a major ticket and very frustrating wondering where my ID is during times like these.... I couldn't even finish because Rhonda wasn't listening she was partially engaging with the red shirt employee. So when I told her you know what it's fine I'll tell her myself. That's when she wanted to chime in. So as I'm walking she goes I'll tell her ma'am. So when I get to the girl I'm not close to her at all didn't charge her up and I politely told her in an assertive way that she needs to remember to give people their IDs because if I get pulled over I could go to jail for driving without identification. I said this in front of the police. In no way was I rude to the girl or anything. As I'm about to walk out Rhonda screams infront of everyone in the store "get her out of here". Like I was cursing and fighting the cashier. The police didn't even move. She is yelling and arguing with me. Then I tell her if I get pulled over by the police it's HEBs fault so whatever. She goes yeah whatever says something else and is laughing with the rest of the employees. At this point I'm on fire because I am utterly embarrassed. I've never felt more humiliated. I come to this HEB alllll the time. Like literally every day. And you're kicking me out of a store when I've done nothing wrong. I respectfully approach your employee about the importance of giving a customer their belongings back. I get in my car drive back up to ask her name and she refuses to tell me. I ask again and she refuses. I find that funny because one you're a manager and two why are you not telling me your name if you have a name badge. Then my dog hops out the car about to get hit and her and all the coworkers surrounding her are laughing. My dog is about to get hit and you find it funny so that infuriates me even more. I get home and call the store to speak to a hire up. The girl on the phone who answers puts me on hold 3 times and it wasn't to a manager. Then when I ask could she tell me the name of the ASM she didn't want to tell me. I had to ask her twice. She finally told me with an attitude. read more

I used to love going to HEB because of how the quality of the food and shopping experience was better than that of Walmart or Kroger, however, I've noticed several HEBs are cutting corners to try to gain more business. This location has mediocre parking, but the customer service is awful. Several times I've gone I have had to wait in long lines because they have way too many "15 items or less" lines and not enough regular ones open. The last time I went my cashier told me I had to put all of the produce on the belt until she could start, which I knew was a lie because it's only so she can scan everything as fast as possible to make herself look like she's a fast cashier. I complained to the manager about who's time was more important, mine or hers and he was nice about acknowledging that she shouldn't do that. Other than that this HEB doesn't offer a lot of coupons like other HEBs. There are RARELY coupons on the makeup aisle, which is disappointing. I've also seen the produce being stocked without the employee wearing gloves which is gross to me. Many of their bulk products are stale. read more

I just stood in line at the customer service booth of this store for over 20 minutes. They only had two people working while a line of about 15 people were waiting to be served and at least two or three other HEB employees stood around nearby chatting to one another. Moreover, other HEB employees would come up to one of the customer service employees and ask questions about who was working today or ask them to do something for them delaying the line further. Very inefficient way to function. I was there to renew my license tags. When I finally got to the counter, I was told that I only could pay by cash or check. Few people carry that much cash and many people no longer carry checks. There needs to be a large sign with the other signs as to what is needed and the limitations imposed before people wait that long. Very frustrating experience. At least the young lady who helped was cordial. read more

Just had the most exasperating experience at their deli counter. There were three people behind the counter, all with their back to the customers, just yakking away with each other, completely oblivious to what was going with anyone but themselves. It took several long minutes before anyone of them even turned around to see if there were customers waiting. At least one customer just walked away in frustration. When one of the staff finally turned around, she moved about as slow as I've ever seen. It took her fully five minutes just to begin cutting the meat for my order. It then took her another ten minutes to complete an order for two things, neither of them anything but routine. She appeared to be unable to multi-task, as she would stop doing what she was being paid for to continue talking to her co-workers about what kind of people they liked to date. Unable to hide my irritation, I commented loudly to another customer standing next to me that they just behaved as though they had all the time in the world. She rolled her eyes and said, "I know! It's ALWAYS like that here." The clerk helping me just thought that was the funniest thing, and she smirked and made several smart-aleck comments to me as she completed my order. If the staff here moved their butts as fast as their mouths, I might consider shopping here again. Too bad, because it's right across the street from me. But I'd sooner drive five miles out of my way and spend twice as much rather than give them my business again. read more
