My new go to HEB. I love the look of the exterior at this location, clean modern look. You can tell this is a true neighborhood store when it comes to parking, no searching for an open spot, no waiting for someone to leave to sneak in. After shopping at either the Barker@290 or Vintage locations we all know this is a wonderful thing! The interior is just as great, wide aisles and nice selections. All staff members I've talked to have been extra friendly and helpful. Just a great store all around. read more

Possibly the most friendly and helpful cashiers and baggers in the city! I have been to this location multiple times and I'm constantly impressed by their staff. Yesterday, as I gathered my bags of groceries from the cashiers counter, I left my tomatoes. The cashier came all the way out to the parking lot to hand me my tomatoes and wish me a good day! This location of HEB grocery store is fantastic. I hope that they continue to upkeep this one. There are so many fantastic little extras here, such as truffles and fudge by the pound at the bakery, a huge selection of artisan cheeses, a large variety of individually priced freshly baked rolls, tons of hard to find goodies on every aisle. We are much closer to the two HEB's along 290 here in Cypress, but we prefer to drive a bit further and enjoy this awesome new location. Bonus, it never seems crowded here, at least yet. read more

I love H-E-B in general. It is my absolute favorite grocery store. But this location is definitely my favorite location. They have every item in stock. even when they have a meal deal and they do run out they find a solution. Numerous times at the tomball location I was told I was just out of luck. The checkers and staff are polite and courteous. The floors and shelves are clean and organized. It is so worth driving the extra three minutes to go to this location. They even have a larger health and beauty department than many of their other locations. read more

This is a long story from an old long-winded Native Texas gal. I cannot begin to tell you how proud I am to be from Tomball, travelled and lived in many states and am now back home, living in Cypress and calling H-E-B my SUPERmarket! I am disabled and was driving to my Spring Cypress @ Grant Road H-E-B with my toddler God Son in tow. At almost three years old, he calls H-E-B the tree store because of an apple tree display in their alcoholic beverage section. Not one minute from the store, he falls asleep in his car seat. I can't carry the dead weight of a feed sack like I could many years ago. I needed a SINGLE item from the tree store! A specific cat food for our extremely allergic cat! Dang! I parked in the first handicapped parking spot in front of the Fresh Foods entrance, left the car running with air conditioner blowing up a storm and looked up the phone number for the store. Arturo answered and tried twice to locate a manager for me, all were busy...eventually I was transferred to Kim at Service and I told her how I was holding a $2.00 coupon and my bank card if she could get a manager to come retrieve the items and purchase the one item for me. She told me that she would locate a manager and ask him to come out to my car. Less than five minutes later, I see the recognizable red shirt with badge dangling in my rear view mirror. I lowered my window and exchanged greetings with Traci, the warm and friendly manager that explained he could not take my bank card. If I had cash he would have been more than happy to accommodate me. Just as Traci had walked up to my window, the Angel in the back seat's Momma called me. She is an HPD officer and was off duty for the day and only minutes away from us. I thanked Traci from the bottom of my heart for even walking out in the Texas heat and told him that I could work it out from there. This is not the first time that I have had such a kind gesture from so many H-E-B employees at once. I LOVE H-E-B and will be a customer for life! Thank you to all of the men and women in those H-E-B shirts who never complain when I need assistance and ALWAYS look for a solution! This store is great. We have always preferred HEB over other grocery stores, and this location has great customer service. For example: The other day it started pelting rain while my daughter and I were shopping and when one of the employees saw us preparing to run out to my truck he intercepted me with an umbrella. He let me use it to get to my truck and waited at the store entrance for me to drive it back up to him. On top of the the service, HEB has great products. They place a lot of emphasis in their store brand products. They are even their own producer and supplier for several staples like milk, ice cream and eggs. read more

Doesn't get any better than this. This HEB has a great staff throughout their store and all are friendly, attentive and exude a sincere attitude to help you when asked. It is often said that the attitude of the staff often reflects the manager who directs them. While I've never met the manager, it obviously has something to do with how he treats his staff - Keep doing what you're doing ! It's working !! Go here all the time and usually HEB is great , some reason the Bakery dept. had no time for people this morning.(Sunday at 10:25 am 3/29) No one wanted to wait on me from behind the counter, the woman closest to the counter was busy adjusting her pants/belt, also there were 6 people there and not one of them even made an effort to say "just a moment ' or make eye contact. Very unusual for HEB customer service today. Stayed for about two minutes, then checked out and went back again. Then there were more people waiting. It took a while for someone to get to them. I just walked away , this bakery dept. sucks. Only time I had great service here is when it had a grand opening. read more

Do not come to HEB on Sunday. They are pretty much out of everything. My biggest complaint is they NEVER have my ice cream. They are ALWAYS sold out no matter what day of the week I try. Heb needs to order more Haagen Dazs Vanilla or Vanilla bean. Why not order more? The whole ice cream aisle is empty. I have been going to this HEB since it has opened, and generally it is as good as any other store, with good variety and nice meats. I never took the time to write a review for the great stuff I like about the store, however I experienced something not so great on Friday, July 1 around 8:15 pm. I had a bad experience. It was with the seafood department. They had some beautiful, wild salmon on a very good sale, so I decided to wait in the line of 0. There was a woman behind the counter that was busy doing something, not sure what, as there was no one else in line and the store was pretty dead. That's fine, I waited for about 3-4 minutes and she acknowledged me saying she'd be with me shortly. Ok, some acknowledgement, that's good, she was probably doing some administrative work to get out earlier to get ahead rather than wait for her department to close for the evening, no big deal there. While I was waiting the younger guy at the butcher department (very nice fellow) asked me if I was being helped, and I said I think so, truthfully thinking I wouldn't be waiting much longer. A little more time had passed, and my wife and I noticed there were several FLIES (large flies) flying freely among the fish. SUCH A DISSAPOINTMENT as I will have to find somewhere else to now find my fresh seafood. Attached are pics if you don't believe me (one broader and one zoomed in) so you can see what I'm talking about. At this point, my wife and I leave, with no acknowledgement from the woman that was supposedly going to be right with us. First of all I will say there products are always great. There H.E.B brand is great. But there service is totally different. I don't usually write reviews but I shop here all the time. This is a customer service last type of grocery store chain. The two H.E.B. locations in Tomball are not "your friendly grocery store." First of all if you want help at the deli, be prepared to have to make three trips there to get waited on. They have 6 employees working and two of them helping two customers. The rest of them are more about laughing and joking with them selves than the customers waiting to be helped. It took me three trips to the deli to get waited on for a pound of lunch meat. Even on a week morning when there are only 10 customers in the whole store and no one in line, they will still ignore the customer. This type customer service is common for H.E.B. Normally if they see you have a question, they are trained to run away. Then they will make you bag your own groceries. What grocery chain makes the customer bag there own items when its not self check out? These issues are common with H.E.B. locations. Like I said Tomball locations, the one in Tomball on 2920 is the worst grocery store I have ever had to shop at. I hope with Tomball growing, other chains will set up shop across from them. If you ask why not shop somewhere else? Location, and like I first said product is Great, they are just the worst customer service grocery chain. So you just put up with it. read more
