On January 20th, 2022 I went to the Walgreens pharmacy (Store #: 9946) at 14127 Cypress Rosehill Rd, Cypress, Tx. 77429 for my COVID-19 Pfizer-BioNTech booster shot. My appointment was at 5:30 PM and I arrived at approximately 5:33 PM. There was a line of 4 people so I went to the empty consultation window to check-in for my booster shot. I was greeted by a young Latina woman who said her name was Kim with, "What!" Obviously, I was shocked to be greeted in such a rude way but tried not to take it personally. I told Kim that I was there for a booster shot. She then said, "you need to book online, we don't take walk-ins", then tried to walk away. I then told her that I had an appointment at 5:30 to which she replied, "then you need to go to the back of the line." Again, I did not take this personally and went to the back of the line where I waited for approximately 20 minutes to be served. While waiting, I noticed that Kim seemed to be in a visibly horrible mood. I was in the line waiting for a while and paid attention to her helping customers at the drive-through. She seemed to be rude and extremely combative with every customer that she helped. I began to think, "how can this person be working with pharmaceuticals or at a pharmacy in general?" Still, I didn't have the time or care to concern myself with complaining about how she treated me or the other customers that I saw her deal with. I just chalked it up to her having an extremely bad day. Once I got to the counter, I was served by a Mr. Long. I gave him my appointment information as well as proof of my previous COVID-19 vaccinations. He then began to ask a lot of questions trying to gather information about me (My email, phone number, address, date of birth, general practitioner, occupation, where I work, etc). I work for a high-profile company that battles companies that use and steal people's personal information for profit, so I never feel comfortable giving out any of my information. Even the information noted above and below the body of this letter. Going further, I know from previous COVID-19 vaccinations that Mr. Long did not need a majority of the information that he asked for. Because of this, I declined to give any of the information that he asked for. Mr. Long calmly and respectfully moved forward with trying to make my appointment for me. He then asked for my ID. Unfortunately, I only had my passport on me so I allowed him to see it. After holding on to my passport for approximately 5 minutes, I asked if he was done with it as I have lost and/or misplaced IDs this way several times. Hence the reason I did not have my driver's license on this particular day. By this point, I had completely forgotten about Kim. Like an angry dog, Kim aggressively came at me raising her voice at me yelling, "what is your problem!? He's not finished with your passport! You will get it back when he's finished! You need to stop causing trouble and let him do his job! This is what you get for declining to give us your information!" Obviously, I was shocked to be getting talked down to like a child when I am 47 years old by a woman 'seemingly' half my age. I calmly told Kim, "look, I am talking to this gentleman. Do you mind?" Kim got even more aggressive with me and said, "I don't care who you're dealing with! I'm talking to you anyway! So what!" At this point, Mike came from the back and yelled, "calm down!" at me to which I replied, "I'm not the one being aggressive. I can't believe either one of you are talking to me the way you are." By this point, I was shaking with anger and confusion from my Aspergers syndrome condition. I started to get dizzy from all of the aggressiveness coming at me. I'm a good and decent human being yet it seems that people always judge me or make assumptions about me due to my appearance, skin color, and slight awkwardness due to my condition. Luckily, Mr. Long was finished with my passport and gave it back to me. He also gave me a document to fill out so I sat down to do so. I was so dizzy and confused at this point that I started to get uncomfortable. I started thinking, "why would I get a vaccine here? these people are going to try and inject me with something that will kill me." At that point, I walked to the counter and told Mr. Chris Do that I had decided not to get the booster at Walgreens after waiting for over a month. I asked to make sure that all of my information was deleted and Mr. Do appropriately crossed out my booster confirmation for that day. I then left the store after being in there for approximately 50 minutes. As of Saturday, January 22nd I started to feel very ill. By Sunday, January 23rd I tested positive for COVID-19 for the first time. I've never been this ill before and I'm very scared for my life. My family thinks I should go to the hospital considering I'm so ill and I think I will. It really sucks that this could have 'possibly' been avoided with better customer service from Kim and Mike. We drove 25 minutes to this pharmacy at 1:30 in the morning for medication as hours are listed on Google and Yelp that they are open 24 hours. I also called the store prior and the voice bot said they were open 24 hours. When we arrived there was a sign taped to the door that said they were closed from 10pm to 8am. I understand that sometimes things happen and there may not be coverage but all hours should be updated for instances like this. read more

I absolutely dread getting my medication refilled here. I don't even like having to deal with the pharmacy, and I avoid this location if at all possible. Literally, EVERY SINGLE time I've had a medication filled here, they've been extremely rude and unprofessional. Lately it's the same two people that I've had to interact with. One is a male and that's been only phone conversations. So I'm not sure what he looks like. The other is a young black woman. She has an attitude towards everyone, and is just plain rude about everything. Just the few times I've been inside, she's left that much of an impact on my visits. She has to be right and if she's not she's got a sour attitude and snaps back with some ridiculous response. Personally, this location is a back up plan. Nothing more than just my last resort. I hate calling in my medication due to having to deal with the ridiculous behavior from the staff. Please do yourself a favor and find another pharmacy to do your business with. read more

Came for a Covid and Flu test, you have to come inside for the Flu test. Just so everyone knows, the girls that work here don't seem to like people and don't care who knows it. As I walked up they were having a loud conversation about someone who had come in and was sick, then the pharmacy tech Aaliyah had something negative to say about every person in the drive through. I get normal work frustration, but to say something nasty like "people be asking too much!" After every interaction while customers are within earshot made for a disheartening experience. I've always felt like pharmacists were like doctors, they see people at their worst, but I guess empathy is not necessary to dole out pills. Again, just so everyone knows, they want your money, but not your business. Won't be returning to this location, better to stay with CVS where people are treated as people instead of as a nuisance. read more

I've used this pharmacy for almost 4 years, recently I dropped if prescription that is gotten 2 weeks earlier. Planned on picking it up the next day. But I got called out of town, I can back to pick it up 7 days later, they said they 'put it back on the shelf' that morning...and could not refill it without another prescription... literally missed it by less 2 hrs.... THEY COULD / SHOULD HAVE SIMPLY CALLED ME... this has cost me 3 weeks without the medicine, earliest appointment I could get with my traveling schedule... another needless doctor... visit 1/2 day wasted.. they were not apologetic or helpful in any way.. read more

I had 2 prescriptions on file with auto refill. Because 1 is filled approx 1 week before the other, and the 2nd was getting refilled earlier then needed, I asked Pharmacist to take it off auto fill. Goal was to get the timing of refills aligned. Month later it got filled automatically and too soon so I asked again! Each time they acted like it was being taken care of. 3rd time it happens I used the auto phone system to remove auto fill feature. This should do it, right? Wrong! 1 week later, I called to trigger this 2nd one. Am thinking the 2 Rx's are now synced up. Call a.m. of 8/14 and system tells me "after 11am tomorrow". OK. I go to pick them up at 2:30 and nope, the 2nd one isn't in system. Gal says come back in 1 hr. I am back in 1.5 hrs and it's still not ready!! They ask me to come back. 3 trips in 1 day - you've got to be kidding me!!!! And they don't even act like this is an imposition. I'm going to give my business now to CVS. read more

WORST WALGREENS TO ORDER ONLINE AND HAVE SHIPPED TO STORE! The manager and girls that answer the phone to 'help' are very rude and not helpful at all. They are in fact argumentative! They need to take a class on 'How to' when dealing with online orders. They are clueless. While they are taking classes, a class on Customer service would be useful as well. read more

They NEVER fill our prescriptions until we physically go to the drive through and let them know they've had a prescription sent in to be filled; I gave them 2HOURS this time!!! The staff likes to say they just got the prescription 5 minutes ago when I was sitting with the doctor 2 HOURS ago when it was sent in! BS! Get your crap together of or I'll be taking my business elsewhere! Now I have 3 kids, 2 under two, and I have to wait 20 minutes for them to fill my sons medicine. So annoying. Check your online orders regularly and this won't happen. read more

Saw my physician on a Wednesday. Submitted a new prescription that day. Went to pick it up Saturday told they couldn't fill it so come back on Monday. Here I am on Monday at almost 6pm....after standing in line for 20 minutes in a pharmacy line and they still haven't filled it! read more

This Walgreens is the worst. I dropped my prescription off there was no one inside waiting in line & no cars in the drive thru. I opted to drop my prescription off & go run errands I was told my prescription would be ready in 40 minutes I came back 1 hr & 40 minutes later & was told my prescription wasn't ready & to come back later. They supposedly had a rush of people drop off prescriptions. This place is ridiculous. This is the CLOSEST Walgreens to us, so I thought I'd go there. I've been here a few times and it has NOT been good. First time I went was to pick up a photo order I placed online. They were having a promotion and my brother & father also took advantage of the online promotion (mind you, we have DIFFERENT addresses). So while I was at the Walgreens, I thought I would pick up my brother's & father's order as well. The lady at Photo was REALLY Rude. First, she had to LOOK at my pictures and then ask if I had copyrights to them - she needed PROOF (told me I had to bring in my CD or the photo showing NO copyright infringement) - these were pictures of my kids that we had a CD from the picture place. SERIOUSLY!!!! Then, she WOULD NOT let me pick up my brother or father's prints because the promotion was 1 per household. I told her we don't live in the same house, nor do we have the same address - it should show on the checkout slip they had printed online. She continued to then tell me that they would have to pick them up themselves. ARE YOU KIDDING??? We even have the same last name! Needless to say, I'm NOT going back there EVER again for photos! Then today, I specifically made a trip (with my 3 kids in tow), but the item I wanted to purchase was NOT in stock (this isn't the first time they'd advertise something and not have it in stock either). So I asked for a raincheck. The cashier was like "we should have some more tomorrow or the day after... just come back then." So, are you going to GUARANTEE that if I come back tomorrow, you'll have it in stock? Answer: No... just come and check. WHAT?!?!? I'm not driving over here AGAIN tomorrow just to SEE if you have something in stock. He proceeds to call the manager to the front desk for my raincheck. 10 minutes pass. Is he coming??? Answer: he's in the back with a customer, I don't know how long he'll be. Needless to say, I FINALLY left! TERRIBLE customer service!!!! After many years of going to this pharmacy I had one of the worst experiences ever this weekend. After sitting in the drive through for over 20 minutes and hearing another customer argue with the cashier about having insurance when it was my turn the same thing happened. They said they ran my insurance and it didn't go through. I asked for a Manager and they told me the same thing. After spending an hour on the phone with Express Scripts and trying to get my daughter's prescription filled (before she went to camp for five weeks) I was advised by the Barker Cypress Walgreens that all they needed to do was change her profile. When I asked what happened the person said "Sorry I wasn't here yesterday and I don't know". Switching my prescriptions to CVS or HEB. read more

Pharmacy and manager were incompetent and rude. They think as soon as a baby comes out the womb you need to call the insurance company otherwise they won't be covered. I guess no one told them you have 30 days to file with insurance company and they sure aren't willing to listen to what every other pharmacy in America does. Rude idiots that's all I have to say. The pharmacy is horrible my first and last time ever.......I just moved to this side of town and my doctor is located off 45 and the doctor told me he can make a bias decision to fill my prescription because my doctor is not located on this side of town......yet to remind you that I get my phetermine from Walgreens at other locations with no problem. Then told me that no one in the area can fill my prescription in this area which is a total lie.....he said the dea and state board won't allow it......like I told him if that's the case if someone goes to a doctor way in pearland or emergency room in pearland you will refuse to fill it based on the doctor not being i your area....I will call corporate because no doctor should be able to make a bias decision with a customer who has a established history with Walgreens.....it was a racist decision not a bias and the sad part came to another location and my prescription filled with no problem...!!!!
