Most recently I stopped by on Monday & Tuesday of this week. The kids & men's stuff is downstairs, then women's stuff upstairs. They've got fair deals on shirts, sweats, hoodies, pants, underwear, and other stuff too. H&M's quality of their materials I like as well. As long as their pricing stays fair, I'll keep coming by. read more

the tall girl with curly hair will follow you around and act like she's " busy " lol, was trying to shop around the store and swore she followed me and acted like she was putting clothes away. It was uncomfortable AF, definitely takes her job to serious lmao. read more

Place has good selections but don't trust the sale signs and check your receipt. Staff are not well trained or just lazy! I came here for the holiday sale and I grab a hoodie from the rack that has %off. Check other stores and online on the item and they are on sale. read more

I came in today with my friend after work. We were going to the movies and had some time to kill in the area so we just walked around the mall and had some dinner there. We stopped by this H&M cuz we been getting some good deals and I been trying to build my closet for travel soon. I had already shopped one store before, and my hands were a bit full from carrying my work bag, my jacket, and the shopping bag. i decided to distribute some of my items into the shopping bag in hopes to even out the load. I did this upon one of the tables at the store, on top of it, in the open. Not trying to hide anything !!! And a worker passes by. Completely get it, I have been in retail I get it. My friend then offers to carry my shopping bag for me and it eases things. So I am able to shop around and I pick up a few things, reunite with my friend then we go to pay. I realize I can ask for a larger bag so its easier to carry everything. Once its my turn in line I ask if I can get a medium or large bag with my purchase. The worker goes, Medium? and I say, hmm maybe Large. My friend asks if we can see the sizes. She shows medium, then I ask for larger cuz id like to put my jacket in. The worker says its a cute jacket, then asks where I got it ...? a little weirded out cuz its just a rolled up pink ball in my arms im like... honest and say it was a gift of a family friend. Super old jacket, nothing like at H&M. Then I pay cash for the items im purchasing. it was 41$ and something cents. She starts checking my $20 bills... IS THIS NORMAL?? She mustve thought i was stealing.. but it was a bit much. And inappropriate because I wasnt. Short brunette employee. At least everything I got was cute but definitely the last store I will miss from New park mall. read more

! I came in to find another blazer. The store didn't have much people as half (or more) of the stores were closed. The employee who rung me up was so respectful and nice! I didn't catch her name but she was fairly tall and had glasses! Anyways, a great experience here. read more

H&M has it all: pants, shoes, scary looking mannequins... you name it. Its really a one stop shop that is comfortable to browse. I'm not sure why I found the mannequins to look so creepy. I suppose I never saw one made out of fabric before. It almost looks like human with a nylon stocking over his head - you know the type you see in bank robberies?! I'm not sure why these things greet you at the door? Perhaps to scare away children or other potential patrons?! This place has it all... shoes, pants, shirts... you name it. Upon my close inspection of merchandise the problem is that none of it appeared to be particularly great. I touched a pair of socks hanging on the wall and they felt unpleasant to the touch. Picked up a pair of jeans and they seemed flimsy and too thin. Shoes?! More of the same. The store was very comfortable. People working there helpful and things weren't so neatly placed that it made things uncomfortable. Wasn't messy or disorganized either. Very comfortable atmosphere - well as soon as you get passed the creepy mannequins. These types of stores (Express, H+M, Uniqulo) have shut down the big department stores it seems. Just down the hall JCPenny is currently having an out of business sale and I think its because these smaller trendy clothes shopping places did a better job with keeping up with consumer demands and trends. My favorite of these types of stores is Uniqlo. I like a few different items they have there. They are the best at making simple stuff well. read more

The price here seems to be a little bit lower than other H&Ms. But the return policy is extremely strict and the staff is not friendly.

Two story H&M located at the Newpark Mall! The men's section is located on the first floor, along with kids. The second floor contains women/tweens. I feel that this H&M is pretty big! They have a good selection of office/business clothes. I get my blazers from here. They are usually pretty stocked. I like coming on the week days where it isn't too busy. I am definitely going to shop here more as they have a lot of the basics that you need: jeans, sweaters, accessories, etc. I also like the fitting rooms, they're very clean and well lit. read more

Nowadays, I go to this place for the basic. Finally, Newpark Mall has gotten a great stores for the better. There is a lot of different things to chose from H&M including: Bikini's,hats,socks,belts, some shoes, women and men's wear.They also have outer wear. This store is the most cleanest, and nearest I've ever been too. It's one of the most organized H&M I have ever visited. Their selection is good. Always good pick,great clothing and cool design. The customers service are great. Especially the Store manager: his name's Nate or Natie (forgive me if I misspelled your name ) he is very helpfully and has extremely pleasant experience helped my choices. H & M is 2 levels of shopping in NewPark Mall. top floor is all women's. rear half of lst floor is for children. front half is men's related. men's fashion is of the "young adult" genre, not a lot of selections. this swedish clothing behemoth literally doesn't suit me. younger shoppers may have a better shopping experience. read more

This review is specifically towards the customer service at this location. PROS- The store is very well stocked with a lot of merchandise. In typical H&M fashion, they have a lot of selection and very good pricing. I would potentially shop here again because it's local and the store does pack a lot of value. CONS- The issue is with the service. First, the employees seem to lack the training to fully perform transactions on their own. Second, there is no self-awareness regarding the flow of traffic and when it's appropriate to take a break. I'm in retail myself. There are busy times and slow times. During busy times, taking care of customers should be top priority. When it's slow, it's a good time to take breaks, have side conversations with co-workers etc. In my specific case, the line had gotten really long as they were trying to take care of a customer issue. Once that customer was *finally* taken care of, one of the two employees decided that it was time to take her break. That showed a lack of respect for the patrons who had been patiently waiting a long time and for her job. Third, they aren't friendly at all and very snappy. No smile. No greeting. Customer questions answered in an aggressive manner. If any H&M management were to read this review, I'd recommend a training on customer service to all employees. Just an overall friendly demeanor and portraying a sense of urgency goes a long way with customers. read more

I love this place. It's two stories and was a part of the beginning of the Westfield makeover for this mall. There's always a huge selection and they sizes are well stocked. What I don't like is that the wait to check out can be pretty bad, especially on the weekends. It makes me miss having weekdays off, but what can you do? You can go downstairs and pay in the men's section! I pretty much do this for any H&M that I shop at. I'm not going to wait an hour in line after I already spent about an hour scouring the racks for clothes. It's worth it to look though- the sales are always great. So never buy anything full price because it'll probably be at least 30% off in two weeks. It kills me when that happens, so being patient really pays off if you shop here regularly. There's not much else to be said about this place. Either you love it or you don't. There's always the best accessories that make great gifts. I love gifting my friends the cute mini pouches for odds and ends in their handbags. The keychains make great gifts too. Happy shopping! May you find the best deals! read more

This store is medium size for other related or H&M stores and it's in a huge big box mall in Newark, but it's got a lot of really good deals. Stop is OK but this place is a complete and utter mess signs are missed placed all over the place every rack is mixed with things that shouldn't be an error and nothing but the front window facing into the mall are in order. Even being the only person in line with three people at the registers it took them 2 1/2 minutes to ask me if I needed help or wanted to pay. read more

I feel like this H&M might be one of the few stores saving Newpark Mall! I usually don't come to this location often but when I do they surprisingly always have a lot of good stuff! They usually have most things I want online at this store so that's really convenient. Well stocked and well organized! I left the store content with new wardrobe essentials. read more

I was making an online return and found the young hispanic lady helping me really nice and sweet. Not the fastest process (they hang and tag everything as they go) but she made the process very pleasant and was really nice. The H&M physical stores always seem like a hot mess but this one seemed a bit more organized. Everyone was really friendly and had a nice attitude. Lovely! read more

I rarely come to the mall nowadays since Old Navy had moved to Pacific Commons and Ross is nowhere near the mall (two stores i shop the most). Oh, and then Target was booted about a year ago to make way for the new AMC theatre so make that THREE stores that are no longer at Newpark. I came in yesterday after an assessment of my current wardrobe and discovered that I am in desperate need of new clothes. A 'refresh' if you will. A co-worker had told me that H&M was the best place to shop with great prices for professional and office-appropriate attire. She was definitely right! There was so much to choose from! Like I said, its been awhile since I'd set foot in the mall. Normally I would have head over to Forever21 but My purpose was to find business wear - not casual. Well, H&M can do both! A very fashionable selection with prices that are hard to pass up. They've got merchandise for the Men as well. The only thing that sort of irked me was that I had walked in at 10:00 (when they opened) and two sales associates had noticed me browsing through the store but not one of them acknowledged me. It wasn't until about 30mins later when the Store Mgr saw me and asked me if I was finding everything ok. Also, there was no attendant in the dressing room area - not sure if that's typical. Other than that, I liked the store. It's very appealing and, again - very great prices that are hard to pass up. I will come back when my wallet is replenished. read more

When Ross failed, Macy's failed, and Forever 21 failed, I came into this store on a whim and scored 2 blouses for work. I am actually coming back tomorrow to get more (different colors, of course). I can rock my yoga pants at work like what I have been doing for about year but my role has changed and my demeanor has changed, at least a little. My boss told me this and I'll never forget it, "dress for the role you want". I am in management currently but I am not done growing. They have a variety of blouses that are absolutely perfect and they did not cost me an arm and a leg either. I really like my black one so I will get another because I tend to buy duplicate things because I need a back-up in case something happens to it and/or if they discontinue the style. This H&M is a welcome addition to our sorry Newpark mall. While this location is not as large as the ones in SF or Milpitas, the store layout isn't overly crammed and the store is usually pretty well organized. The downside is that I usually cannot find any good sales the way I can at other H&M's. This past visit, the clearance section only had visibly damaged/worn christmas sweaters...& we are now in mid-Feb...how about not re-selling people's returned and abused items. read more

I always find better selections here than at Great Mall's larger location, almost as good as Santana Row. They have an actual makeup area to the right of the cashiers, including nail polish with dozens of pretty colors! Powders, eye shadows, lip gloss, and accessories are located here. Staff is friendly, from floor associates to fitting room attendants. 1st floor is mens & kids clothing. 2nd floor is all womens; they have plus size clothes too. The area around the escalator has more basics, hoodies, crops, stuff you'd find for Coachella/younger generation. The larger area surrounding check out has more business casual items: flowy tops, dresses, blazers, etc. Only area lacking is jewelry, not a huge selection. They do have a wall of shoes and sandals to the left of the registers. read more

One of my favorite clothing stores along with Banana Republic for everyday wear. Not the highest quality clothing but very reasonable for the price and I like the styles. This is a brand new location in the Newpark mall and is pretty big and had 2 floors. Maybe this mall has hope after all especially once the new theaters are here. read more

I'm here now and saw a shirt I wanted to buy that I saw on display. The clerk said that they couldn't sell the last 2 because the company policy. The owners or Sweden and they don't care because they just work here. This is very disturbing to me as an consumer in this country of We don't care. Not bad for a new H&M and glad that NewPark Mall is getting some kind of revivial. H&M was clean and organized unlike many others which feel like a tornado ran through each of the aisles. I hope they do keep it up though I'm not one to shop at an H&M. I just like to browse! read more

Bull to kick customers out at 8:50 and close the fitting rooms before official close. Poor taste low quality customer service loss of business. I had lots of clothes I was ready to purchase and try on first just in case and was told by the fitting room attended its closed even though the store is still open. Headded downstairs and was told to go back upstairs. I can't even look? Mall is still open! Disappointing and not the first time this happened at H&M. This is a great store for nice looking clothes for an affordable price. My teenage sons usually finds dressy clothing here for a dance or special event. The clothing holds up better than most brands at the same price. The only negative about this store is the men's dressing room. There are only 2 stalls. We waited 30 minutes to try on the clothing. Then when we finally got into a dressing room, we felt rushed because the line was so long. Be prepared to have all of the clothing you want to try on in multiple sizes because if you go on a busy day you may be there a long time waiting. I also suggest shopping the sale racks for great deals! read more

I liked this place and was quite impressed. It doesn't look disheveled like some of the other H&M's who appear to have been ransacked. Articles of clothing are in order and easy to browse through style, size and color. Subsequently, it made the shopping easy, and I bought more at this H&M than any other. Affordable fashion and accessories so close to home! Perfect! This store location officially opened on November 1 just upstairs from AMC Theatre. I visited for the first time and loved how bright and organized everything was. They have something for everyone, whether men, women or children. LOVE the sales and promos they have every so often. Right now accessories and bras are buy 1 get 1 free. Definitely took advantage of that. I will be frequenting this mall more often now. read more

This place deserves 5 fives because not only do you constantly see the workers working and trying to clean they give their all. While shopping thru clothes you can tell what the issue is...it's the customers. The way people shop is disgusting no wonder why half the time the store looks a mess. It's not hard to just hang your item back up or put it back where it belongs. Be considerate during these times and pick up after yourself. read more

Men's selection is fantastic! Women's clothes are terrible though. Men's options include all the classics and a professional look, meanwhile women's stuff is crap, like it all belongs on teenage girls or self-proclaimed Instagram models. Wtf. What grown woman actually wears crop tops and shiny pants and see through shirts? Maybe it's just me, but the men's selection was for men, and the women's selection was for tweens. I know I'm over simplifying, but god, everything was so "trendy" and just awful. Now I'm getting all worked up. I should stop before I downgrade this review to 2 stars. read more

Worst customer service at this H&M location. Took a few bucks of clothes and went for billing on first floor on 8/4/2017 - 7:30pm Friday night, there were two girls on the billing of First floor. The indicator next to counter read "Next Customer in line" to go to the billing counter. But, weird the two girls were just talking on the billing counter for 15-20min, not even for courtesy they did check on the customers. Few of the customers were pissed off by this attitude at the billing and kept their purchases back and left the store. If this is the customer service level (I am just asking for billing, rather than making the customers wait and talk b/w themselves) on Friday night, then H&M will have tough time in Newark franchise. read more

I have so many negative things to say about this location, but to sum it up: the workers suck, SPECIFICALLY the guy workers. I wish I could say one good thing about this place, but everything is disorganized and I saw one of the guys (maybe the manager?) throw a fit about the customers leaving clothes everywhere. That part is understandable, but don't make other customers who had nothing to do with it feel uncomfortable. The cashier didn't seem engaging at all! Horrible experience with Manager Christina. I always love going into H&M, everyone is usually super friendly and helpful. I went in trying to find a dress shirt, slacks, and shoes for an upcoming event. Like always, I was able to find what I needed within the first 10 min of me walking the floor. I locate the men's fitting room and go inside to try on my outfit. There was no attendant there, and all of the associates were busy helping other customers so I go inside. For the record, there was no sign at the entrance to indicate that the men's fitting room was closed; the entrance was wide open. These particular fitting rooms stalls have curtains instead of actual doors. As I'm trying on my clothes, all of a sudden the curtain gets yanked by one of the associates. I was very uncomfortable with what she had accidentally done, and she said this: I'm sorry, by the way you are the last customer that will be in these fitting rooms (very nonchalant about apologizing). Still in shock I told her that she should be more careful when opening the curtain since I was changing. She said that I needed to calm down and that I was making this a big deal. I close the curtains and she leaves muttering some choice words under her breath, reiterating the fact that I needed to calm down. I opened the curtain and point blank asked her to repeat herself (I felt very disrespected by her aggressive and non-apologetic attitude.) I continue trying things on and realize I need a different size shirt. She is still in the general area so I ask her for another size, she tells me that I can go get it myself (very surprising response since the associates at H&M on Powell always help me out when I need another size, they even have a sign posted on the fitting rooms saying to ask an associate for another size!). I walk out of the fitting room and grab the shirt on the other side of the store. I finish trying on my clothes and continue shopping. 15 min later as I'm minding my own business looking around I feel a gaze on me, I turn my head and see her staring me down. She maintained eye contact for a good 6 seconds (made me feel very uncomfortable). I see her walking towards the kids section and at that point I was ready to make a complaint to a manager due to her poor customer service/people skills. I confront her as she is trying to go inside the employee break room, and ask to speak to a manager. Here's the kicker: she (Christina) was the manager on duty!!!!!!! I asked her why she was staring me down as I was trying to shop peacefully, and all I got as a response was I ain't worried about you you need to calm down making this a bigger deal than it really is etc. She was everything but apologetic. She even threatened to call mall security on me (for trying to make a complaint to the manager? talk about adding insult to injury.) The scene that Christina's aggression created had caused other customers to see what was going on. She embarrassed me inside the fitting rooms, and also embarrassed me on the floor as I was trying to make a complaint to a manager. I still ended up buying my outfit: shirt, slacks, shoes, AND belt. Left very disappointed with Christina's customer service (or lack thereof). Be careful with this H&M! Very unprofessional. This all happened during the last hour of business as they were closing the store on Sunday (1/7/18). read more

The homie Khal at the men's section was very helpful! Went out of his way to simply help out my boyfriend & I. He just clocked in & didn't have to help us out. Instead, he went above & beyond & took care of us. Looked around the whole store to find that one item, Khal is the best. Need more associates like khal. Customer service severely lacking. Went in to return a defective item only to be met with a stare and snickers. Rep who finally came to the neither greeted me or acknowledged my presence. At least they're consistently bad whether you talk to them online or in store, so 1 start for that. read more

Love this store! Been to several other locations and this has to be the nicest as far as set up. Only giving 4 stars and not 5 because when I came in to this store a few days after the grand opening the elevators and the escalators were not even working. Being that I came in on the first floor it was nothing but men's clothing, I kind of felt lost. I did not like the fact that I had to walk out of the store use the mall elevator and walk back into the store from the second floor just to get to women's department. Not really prepared for the grand opening.....no one greeting us when we walked into the store. Loved the dj at the front that was a nice touch, the people tending to the fitting room tho....not so good. Stood at the enterance of the fitting room holding 2 dresses and the lady just looked at me and walked away, I then asked if I just walk in or is there an attendant? She said "they're full" I was like ok a simple I'll be right with you would've been ok....when I went to pay the cashier didn't even take cash as payment and sent me back in line....wth is that about?
