Worst customer service so I literally bought a $29 shirt the night before and return to first thing tomorrow morning. I miss placed the receipt. The tags are still on the grommets less than 24 hours and they told me they cannot return our gift or credit that is horrible. Customer service manager came over and literally she just basically ignored my discussion of what I was trying to explain and willing to give to have in-store credit and she just basically just ignored me and said sorry we can't help you without a receipt horrible customer service. read more

You can't even call the store directly anymore! Rerouted to a call center in the Philippines that couldn't contact anyone in the store themselves, just horrible. Do not shop here!! If you do hold on to your receipt with your dear life. My daughter's were given clothes as a gift from my older kid's. I just wanted to exchange for bigger size and asked for store credit they said No, without receipt even though their policy states other wise . One person who I spoke to corporate said I could then another person said it's up to their discretion. The girl claimed it's a new policy that started beginning Feb 1st and there's nothing on Google on return that supports her claim. So if you don't have receipt and you spent alot of money it's pretty much Fuck you. Don't forget about their scandal of racist clothes in 2023 where they had a black child wearing the coolest monkey in the jungle. read more

H & M is pretty much always my go-to spot for work attire. They pretty much always have some sort of sale going on and their selection of "basics" are always pretty much on point. Last night I stopped in to pick up a pair of pants for work and a couple of sweaters because the City is pretty chilly in the morning. Having worked 11 years in retail ( thank goodness I am not longer in this field), I appreciate good customer service and just a friendly, positive attitude, however, the associate who helped me last night was a bit....maybe too friendly if there is such a thing. Naturally, I was greeted with a, "Hi, how are you?". Obviously I am going to respond with, "good, how are you today?". Its a natural response right? I didn't expect for the associate to tell me how much he was swamped with finals and how he had to write an essay after work but it was okay because this semester they were only taking 11 units as opposed to previous times they took like 15 units and something about he didn't find out till the day of class that he didn't pay all his fees....and....yeah.. you get where I am going, it was a bit too much. ESPECIALLY!! When as I was headed out of the door, I beeped because the associate left a sensor on my pants. Thank goodness I went back because I would have been pissed if I would have gotten home and realized the sensor was still on. Less talking and more paying attention please! read more

Bad, bad news for my wallet. Horrible. I love H&M and was excited when I found out they were opening one here in Solano. This was a smart move after Westfield left; I was thinking this mall might start to go downhill after they stopped ownership. Two story H&M with women's up top and the kids' and men's section on the first. With this store still less than a a few months old, there are still a few kinks that will work themselves out with time. There are a lot of employees working the floor either putting away or tidying up. What's sad is that maybe 3/10 of the floor employees you see will actually greet you or acknowledge you. I hate this place, but I keep coming back because it is currently my preteen daughter's favorite place for clothes. The prices are reasonable and the clothes are all super cute, but that's where the good ends. The staff is a nightmare of rude high school/college kids that are just too cool to actually help you, the line for the dressing room is always torturously long (think 20-30 minutes in line), and the check out line to pay is even longer. I didn't like 3 dresses I bought online. I decided to bring it into the store today hoping for an easy return. Nooooppppppe! I bought these items right after thanksgiving (which was within 30 days). When the male cashier started ringing up my items, 2 of the 3 items rang up less than what I paid for. The male cashier said to me "it is whatever you paid". I told him it wasn't. I showed him the amount I paid for each item on the receipt. He repeated himself again saying "it is what you paid". I said no. He decided to turn his back on me, hung up the dresses and attached the metal detectors on the dresses. Instead of asking me if I wanted to continue the return, he was continuing the return process. I don't understand WHAT MAKES SOMEONE THINK IT IS OK TO CHEAT SOMEONE OUT OF THEIR MONEY??? I really wanted to give that cashier my 2 cents because of his lack of thinking and professionalism but I saved my breath. I did not proceed with the return and left the store. People really think that this H&M is big? The Walnut Creek store is at least 3 times as big as this one and the SF store is even bigger. I found the women's selection to be disappointing. I came here looking for a simple plain cardigan, and they didn't have a single one in any color. I know it's summer, but I went to the Walnut Creek store and they had tons of them. I also think that this store caters more towards juniors clothing than the more sophisticated, adult looking clothes. The floor workers and cashiers were friendly enough. Asking me if I needed help, etc. I hate the dressing rooms here. Curtains instead of doors. Who's idea was that? I'm glad H&M came to the Solano Mall, and it's better than the highly unorganized Forever 21, but I will be taking my business to other bigger H&Ms in the bay area. read more

When the US website, Yelp and Google says this should be open today (Sunday) by 11am. It should be open by 11am. It's now 11:30am and it's still NOT open. Called toll free customer service and they were not aware of any notices for this location to be closed today. Therefore, where is the store manager and where are the employees. Clearly, it's not open because the gates are still down and there is no note stating they'd be closed or opening later. Great merch, but not being open? As a business they are losing business, no matter if this store does high volume or not. This is quite disappointing because this has never happened at any other H&M locations that I've frequented. It's time to clean house and get better employees at this location, or, at the least, disciplinary action is needed. read more

I love H&M clothes they really have nice styles but at this location customer service SUCKS! The Latina lady at the cashier was snobby. I've worked with customers for many years and never treated them how they did. No acknowledgment and you don't feel like your welcome for shopping at that store. I just watched a manager scold an employee (who is obviously sick and feverish) for using tissues to wipe his nose. Decent prices, but I dont think they care about the health of their employees. Came into the store at 815 was done shopping by 830 and they would not allow me to try my clothes on due to the fact that they were short staff so they closed the fitting rooms down when the store does not close until 9pm. H&M is my go to for basics. They're pretty standard across the board but this location you always wait for a at least 5 minutes to be rung up. It's a hit or miss shop...just depends when you go. I'll still continue to shop there but maybe will have to go mid day. I hate lines. On the plus side...the security guard usually opens a door for me. read more

I always went to H&M in San Francisco, but now I can go here, which is very close, and I can go anytime I want now. The opening sales were very good. I bought 2 shirts & 1 sweater there & paid about $37. People were complaining that the service was slow, but honestly they went fast because the line went around the store & it was crowded (until around 2:40ish). I'm totally a loyal fan of H&M, however I had my first horrible experience at this location, Solano Town Center, in Fairfield, CA. I purchased 3 scarves, which were Christmas gifts, along with other items. When I got home & unloaded my shopping bag, only 2 scarves were in there. I tried calling the store directly, but my call was automatically transferred to the call center. I explained what happened & the rep transferred to the wrong store- I was transferred to, and kept on hold, with a store clerk in Fairfield, Ohio instead of Fairfield, California. I had to call back & request to be transferred to the correct location (for some reason you can't dial the store directly, you need to go through the call center first.) I finally got through & spoke to the store manager, Camellia, who was told by the call center that I called because I lost my gift card- NO, I didn't lose a gift card, I used a gift card toward my purchase... I had to explain for the third time what happened (I'm very displeased with the call centers service at this point). I live 30 minutes away from this store location, (& I mean 30 minutes one way, that's 1 hour round trip) not including holiday traffic. I drove all the way back to get this resolved. As I arrived, I saw the cashier who helped me standing outside. I approached her and said " Excuse me, do you remember me?" ANNA acknowledged me & said " Yes". I continued & said "The three scarves I purchased earlier, you only put 2 in my bag, you forgot the beige one." ANNA replied with "Oh I'm on my lunch..." I then asked for her name & she said "Anna." Is this good customer service? NO APOLOGY WHATSOEVER, to a loyal customer, whom she, the cashier, forgot to place ALL items that I paid for in my shopping bag? I finally spoke to Camellia, the store manager. Luckily, my scarf was still there. But what did I receive for the inconvenience it caused me? A coupon for 15% off my next purchase. So I asked for an extra coupon, but was told I need to use them separately. The store manager also said that she would talk to her staff about this incident... Both the cashier & manager, had no remorse or empathy. My advice to those who shop here... DOUBLE CHECK & MAKE SURE ALL ITEMS THAT YOU PAID FOR ARE INSIDE YOUR SHOPPING BAGS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STORE. That way, you don't lose precious time & gas driving back to resolve it, with staff who don't seem to care. read more
