What a great find. Exotic fresh bread, locally created on the westside of the 405 fwy. Pronounce "Hazy", the owner is Austrian-Afghan, and makes the loaf with tumeric and blue pea flower from Thailand. It's beautiful blue and yellow color is not only visually stunning, but healthy, too. When you come in, you can see the people in the kitchen making the bread by hand! Quite amazing. Once you taste it, you'll regret ever growing up eating the same, average white Wonder bread. So live a little and trying something new.

Vacationing in SoCal so had to make a trip to try Hasi Bread and so glad we did ! One of the best and beautiful focaccia bread I've eaten ! Love the vibrant color from turmeric and butterfly pea in their bread and how delicious their pastries /baked good were! Staff were friendly and the little shop was darling ! Definitely a must when visiting around that area but also worth a drive

Just amazing! Breads: tried the olive bread, baguette, and pumpkin seed-- all were delicious! It's sold at Erewhon for $15.99. Quality bread + cultured butter hits the spot for me. Loved the novelty of purple and yellow swirl (pea flower and turmeric)! Thank you to the guy who worked Monday afternoon because he was so kind in explaining their bread (no preservatives so it should be frozen or refrigerated) and took the time to share his fave (pumpkin seed). Great cafe vibes and the pastries, though I've never tried, looked delicious!

Hasi bread This review is for my croissant. I don't know what's it in. But it was so good. Outside texture was how I like it. Nice and crispy. Inside wasn't dry. Good butter flavor but not oily. Color was beautiful. I believe it's sourdough. I need to go back and try everything here

The pastries here are really great with delicious and unique flavors. I had an earl grey blackberry pastry that was perfectly crispy and not too sweet. I also tried a cardamom caramel latte, which was great!

We first saw the interesting looking breads at Erewhon and were super curious. Reading about the tumeric and pea flower ingredients which is interesting, not just as it affects the color but it's health benefits as well. Used to go to Hot Cakes (in the same space) before so thought we'd go check it out on a Sunday morning... Comfy little space where you can watch them bake through the glass. Friendly and helpful service as there is a lot to choose from and it seemed everyone had questions about the bread Grabbed a loaf of bread, a bagel and a few treats to see what the hype was all about. Everything was good, but nothing stood out. The flavor profile was not any different from other breads we had tried (although prettier). The bagel was too dense which is an unfortunate trend these days. And of course, it's expensive for what it is... Quick tip: If you didn't know, everything there is sourdough

I've never seen bread so vibrant looking. Hasi bread uses whole grains of rye, spelt, Khorasan and a mix of blue pea flower and turmeric root to bake a bright yellow and purple swirl bread. Each slice and section of each bread is an artform. Very natural products which is a great thing and even better to see that LA has upped it's game in the bread making world. We shared a kouign amann and chocolate croissant. I could taste the natural ingredients. In the future, I'll have to try their sourdough and other breads. Overall, great and healthy baked products.

The highlight of my Saturday was visiting Häsi Bread! I stepped in and of course it was busy, but the line wasn't too long and everyone, the staff and customers alike, were all so personable. It looks like the perfect place to sit and read on a weekend morning or meet with a friend, or even meet new people. The staff answered my questions about the breads and were very helpful. I was offered a few samples of the sweeter breads and I'm so looking forward to coming back and trying different loaves. I ordered the original loaf as it was my first time here and a cappuccino. The coffee was so creamy and delicious, and just as beautifully presented! And the moistness and flavor of the loaves match the presentation of the bread. I've been wanting to check this place out for a while now, as someone who loves making sourdough, it's so cool to get to try artisan bread and appreciate it as an art form, and especially bread as beautiful as the loaves at Häsi bread!

My boyfriend and I came here to grab a quick bite before heading to the dog park I'd give it a solid 2.5/3 stars The green apple caramel Matcha really did taste like you were biting into a caramel covered green apple. The orange cocoa cappuccino tasted like one of those wonderful balls. I had a bite of the fig and brie pastry, but I had the portobello pesto flatbread. My boyfriend had the pepperoni flatbed and wheat shared the Spanikopta Overall, flavors are great. The bread is solid, but I think the price puts this at a place. I would not want to come back. We spent almost $80 for all of our items. My boyfriend spent almost $50 buying our two drinks and two pastries and the additional pastries I purchased were around $20. Each item is priced anywhere between 7 to 9 dollars apiece a little to high of a cost to justify a return Although the food was good, it just wasn't feeling enough to be at that price point to warrant a return in our opinion

What a great artisanal bakery in Culver. They have so many different types of head and pastries! The staff are welcoming and efficient. This bakery specializes in the butterfly blue flour flower and tumeric flour. The breads have a mix of blue purple and yellow. So fun to eat!

This review is for their Too Good to Go surprise bag. We got two loaves and 2 croissants for only $4.99 plus tax. We used the garlic loaf to make grilled cheese sandwiches which was tasty and the chocolate croissant was a nice sweet treat. Great value for yummy baked goods

The smell as we walked by. Heavenly.

This bread, O.M.G! I'm dead. All I can say is that you absolutely have to try this bread if you haven't already. Crispy on the outside, incredibly soft on the inside. Colorful. Flavorful. Unique looking! Whether you're a fan of bread or not, you will be after you try what they make here. Absolutely incredible. Highly recommend!

In running for THE BEST ALMOND CROISSANT in LA! WOW
    Susie D.

First time, blown away by their almond croissant. Second time, super let down by their chai roll. The almond croissant gets an easy 5 stars and I'd give it more if I could. Crispy outside, buttery dough, and the almond butter filling is creamy and dreamy. Meanwhile, the chai roll barely had any flavor and was stiff from sitting out all day. The matcha was ok, a little weak. So I guess it depends on what you get and what time you get the goods that will determine the experience here. But I'll wait for those almond croissants to come out of the oven anytime, that's for sure.

As I was working through my message, I had the idea to include a visual illustration--a charcuterie setup to represent the abundant life Jesus offers. Right away, I thought of Alex and Olivia at Joliet Cafe. I've enjoyed Joliet Cafe for years-- whether I've come by in the day to get delicious coffee, or enjoyed the restaurant on a romantic night out with the wife - the food is always outstanding. Alex is truly a masterful chef! So just a couple of weeks before Easter, I reached out with this idea. Not only was he open to it, but he took the time to understand the vision and bring it to life. On the day of, Alex arrived early and prepared a beautiful, abundant "feast" that fit the message perfectly. It didn't just look incredible--it tasted amazing. After the service, we placed the charcuterie next to our lunch table, and it was gone quickly! So many people commented on how delicious and well-presented everything was. I share all this to say: Alex's professionalism, creativity, skill, and flexibility make him an incredible choice for charcuterie boards, catering, or any culinary service. He truly delivers--and you will not be disappointed. Thank you again for helping make Easter such a meaningful and special day!

Therefore, I have to come and take advantage right? Well, I was able to order both tacos keto style (Dallas Fort Worth variety) and have their contents put in these cute cups. This isn't your…read moretraditional taco stand - it's definitely a more modern, hipster take on Texas-style breakfast tacos. But they execute it pretty well. One of my favorite morning routines is grabbing a coffee from Blue Bottle next door, then settling in at HomeState with my two favorite breakfast tacos: the Guadalupe and Don't Mess with Texas. Guadalupe - 4/5. I always order this on a corn tortilla. It comes with eggs, chorizo, and cheese, and the ingredients are decent. The portion is generous, with plenty of fluffy eggs that are cooked just right - not overdone or runny. The cheese melts nicely into the eggs, creating a good texture. The chorizo is decent, though it's the weakest component of an otherwise excellent taco. Also, I realized that the portion of chorizo has shrunk over the years. Don't Mess with Texas - 4/5. I'm generally not a fan of refried pinto beans, but this taco completely won me over. The combination of beans, bacon, potatoes, and cheese works surprisingly well, especially with the salsa verde. The flavors come together beautifully, making this one of the more satisfying breakfast tacos on the menu. I've tried a few of their other breakfast tacos, and they're all good. Still, I always find myself coming back to these two. HomeState offers two house salsas roja and verde, both with a brighter, more acidic profile than what you'd typically find at a taco shop. Usually that would be a bit problematic for regular tacos, but that acidity pairs well with the rich breakfast tacos. My only complaint is that I wish they packed more heat. Hot sauces are available, but I'd rather the house salsas bring the spice on their own. Even so, they're flavorful and complement the tacos well. Overall, I like my Blue Bottle coffee + 2 breakfast tacos combination, and will continue eating here.
