I got the Mediterranean Platter which was full of very perfectly-cooked meats and rice, salad with very fresh veggies, a Greek dressing ant tzatziki. The latter two were EXCELLENT, really creamy tzatziki and really flavorful Greek vinaigrette. A lot of food. Not cheap, but I'd say normally-priced. I've also gotten their house-made Dubai Chocolate. Ya'll I was not expecting this. This unassuming little place specializes in Mediterranean food and they also have a small shop where you can pick up any related International groceries. I honestly barely noticed because the smell of yummy foods hit me as soon as I got inside. I think they do most of their business as take-out or pick up, but we actually took advantage of the small dining area attached. The service is nothing fancy- order at the counter and they'll bring it to you. But ya'll- the food! It was really some of the best Mediterranean food I have had since moving to the cities. That hummus -as the kids say- SLAPS! It had a little spicy topping on it and they served it with warm pita breads. I ordered a gyros platter and it came with enough rice to feed a crowd! I've been meaning to try this local spot for awhile and finally picked up some food to go this weekend. We tried the beef gyro, chicken gyro, rice and beef patty. The meat was seasoned, soft and fresh. We ordered extra meat on the beef gyro and there was tons (which is great because a lot of times you pay for extra meat and they only add a few pieces). The beef patty was such a surprise, the ground beef was spicy and seasoned to perfection. I would absolutely get this again. And the rice is better than any rice I've ever ordered with gyros, it was also seasoned perfectly. They were quick to make the food too. The only recommendation I have is to call ahead rather than place an order online as the prices are higher when you pay online. Had I known, I would've called in my order instead! read more

One side in with tables; the other small grocery section of Mediterranean groceries and the counter with menu to order food. Greek specialties include Gyro, shish-kabob, Greek salad, salad kabob combos, spinach pie, combo platters, beverages and so much more. Our first time here and they got busy quick. We had spinach pies and the Original Gyro sandwich. Both delicious, hot and filling Friendly staff and order taker, efficient and got it right! Just suggest they use more toppings on the meat- tomato and lettuce were light. We will return and glad we stopped by. Not many good Gyro places in Bloomington so.... We will be back! From the minute I walked into Gyros Grill I felt immersed in middle eastern culture. It was wonderful. There were people waiting, the grill had a full team cooking up lunch orders and there were shelves of middle eastern foods and goods and pictures of traditional Palestinian clothing and old cities of the region. There was an area for dine in but I was in a hurry between meetings so unfortunately I couldn't stay. I ordered the gyro meal and I also saw these little Egyptian dessert cakes up front called basbousa. . So I got one of those to try too. The owner was very kind and explained what that desert was when I asked about it. While I waited for my food I explored the goods and pictures on the walls. It took maybe 5 minutes total to get my food and after a short friendly chat with the owner again, I was on my way. I have tried several gyros in different cities here and some have been great and some dry and not so great. These gyros are perfection! I didn't even need that extra tzatziki side I ordered. The meat was so tender and juicy and they didn't skimp on it! The pita was great too. The fries had a really great seasoning and the little cake was a perfect ending to a great lunch. It was very sweet and light. Almost like a sweet dessert corn bread but a little more crumbly. (That was the closest food I can think of to compare it too but it's really its own kind of cake) I really enjoyed it. I will absolutely be going back! I can't believe we have this hidden gem in our neighborhood and it took me 6 months to find it. This is a MUST TRY if you've ever traveled to the Middle East and/or love the food. read more

East Bloomington bump Maybe more of a three star Gets homer rating So in my corner of East Bloomington there is not much in the way of dining options outside of the Mall of America. Sometimes I don't want to deal with Mall traffic, so this is a nice option to have in the neighborhood. Everything I have had has been good to solid. Gyros Burger is probably the tastiest thing I have had on the menu. Chicken Gyro sandwich which I had tonight at $7.50 with tax is definitely solid. Falafel and Kabobs have been good. Definitely more of a takeout type place. They do have a couple tables to eat in, but I hardly ever see anyone taking advantage of them. Not much in the way of drinking options unless you are a fan of Faygo soda. I don't think I've ever seen Faygo anywhere else in Minnesota. They are loaded with it here. read more

I do love Gyros but can't really find them as a common item. It's usually independent mom n pops such as Gyros Grill where I'll find a good product not made by a corporate kitchen 800 miles away. There is a somewhat extensive menu on a modern electronic board with hand written notes and changes taped on underneath. All I've had here was a single Gyros and found it had the right amount of spice. The lamb tender and not oily. There is a selection of ethnic groceries from a few middle eastern nationalities. There is a limited amount of customer seating but this restaurant is not really made for in-house dining. I took the foil wrapped lunch with plenty of napkins and ate in the car and managed not to make a mess. For less than $7 (as of 12/17) I thought this was a great value for a quick tasty lunch. read more

Stopped by for dinner after a busy day while on vacation and we were very impressed with the quality of all the dishes we ordered, and even though they were very busy - the service was super fast! Highly recommend the gyro burger (though I wish they had a spicy version - just my preference), the chicken tenders were seasoned and breaded very well and crispy. I have passed by this piece of bad word strip mall 1,000 times over 17 years in the Twin Cities. I finally had a reason to head into it because I had an $8 voucher for Gyros Grille. I read reviews and had heard that the owner is a real bad word over people using their coupons. The place was nice enough,but when he saw I had a Crowd Cut, it was like I was a piece of bad word. Anyway, I ordered the Saturday special,which was like 8 bucks. He said "No go," you can't use a Groupon for that. "I was like seriously?" It's $4 dude, like I really want to bad word you out of $4. Then I started to look at the cool pictures of the Mediterranean food on the menu above the counter. I chose the kabob sandwich. (Chicken) He kept trying to push the $12 plate on me. Dude,if you don't want to treat Groupon customers like normal patrons, then don't offer them. I thought the reason for coupons was to try to get people in your establishment, not piss them off. Another complaint, my $8 sandwich was supposed to come with fries, (I looked up my order on the printed menu and it said sandwich with fries) My order did not come with fries, I would have thrown them away anyway because I don't eat fries normally, but it was the principle. He tried to save money because fries aren't on the picture above the counter. Another guy came in after me without a voucher and the owner was all Mr. Nice Guy with him, chatting him up and everything, like a normal proprietor should do. Strange. I brought the sandwich home and the bread/pita was delicious though. I could have used some more chicken chunks, but every kabob chunk was really good. The sauce was fantastic and the fresh tomatoes and onions were awesome. The meal was perfect for a lunch time sandwich. Overall, won't come back here, but the chicken kabob sandwich was plenty good though. I am a pretty easy going guy, but nickel and diming me doesn't sit easy with me. The owner here is such a friendly individual. I visited this location on a busy Friday afternoon, and our food was served timely. I ordered a gyro stir fry dish that was delicious. I wish it would have been a bit more spicy, but it was not bland by any means. The team working there is attentive and quick.
