I ordered falafel fries. The order took quite a while, there may have only been one person in the truck though. It was almost inedible. The falafel themselves were dense, dry and tasteless. The garlic fries were limp and I tasted no garlic. They were very soggy from a lot of sauce. I haven't tasted anything else from this truck. Update: the food truck sent me my receipt via email and asked how I liked the food. I told them and I have just received a response saying that they will look into it and will refund the transaction. read more

It was decent and filled me up, but the falafel doesn't have a lot of flavor. Also it's spicier than most places. I actually like that part of it, but I know it's not for everyone. Our 11 y/o couldn't handle eating as much as she needed to eat to be full because of the spice. The tzadziki sauce was horrible! It tasted like plain Greek yogurt with no dill or anything and somehow had a vaguely mayonnaise like flavor? Idk, it was weird and not good. So delicious! Had the lamb gyro and garlic fries. Wow! The lamb gyro was so tender and juicy, the flavors were truly exquisite. Each bite I wanted to savor. I was disappointed when I had finished it. The garlic fries were amazing. They make this delicious creamy garlic sauce and feta cheese generously topped over fresh homemade fries. Great service and great prices. Definitely caters to Americans and not the traditional Greek gyros. Tzatziki sauce lacks flavor considering it being "homemade" and the lamb is not well seasoned. I'd stay away from the falafel as well. Very dry and for some reason chewy. However, the spanakopita is pretty darn decent. I give 3 out of 5 stars because the service is really nice and spanakopita was good. read more

The appeal for this Greek food cart is the atmosphere, as it is represents Greece in the "It's a Small World" of food truck cuisine known as The Yard, an extensive and attractive open-air food court. As you can imagine the Yard is not going to be cheap, but Gyropoulos was one the least unreasonable. We got two gyros ($10 each?) and garlic fries ($7). The garlic fries did not have a huge garlic presence, though I'm sure our companions were glad we were wearing a mask. I don't recall diced garlic but instead more of a sauce. Not sure it was worth the $2 up charge, but they were good and I would consider getting them again. The bread was fat and soft. The falafel was big and "not dry" (don't make me say moist, unless it's , the Greek word for moist). The chicken was atypical for a Greek place: it was shredded and brown like something you would see in a Mexican dish. It was Greexican. I'd get it again, but because it is not what I normally see in Mediterranean food it might seem Greek to you, which is to say that it might not seem Greek. read more

One of our fave treats, gyros! We purchased 2 to go, an order of fries & baklava. The generous portion of meat was moist, tender & full of flavor. Feta Cheese, lettuce & sauce mixture was delicious. We waited almost an hour for our food all while watching orders that were placed after ours be completed first. To make things worse our order wasn't completed correctly and the food was mediocre at best. If I could give zero stars I would! Needless to say we will not be going back! Was pretty disappointed at their food truck in The Yard. I ordered the falafel salad and a side of fries. It took 20 minutes and the ladies I was with were practically done with their meals from other trucks before I sat down. When I got my meal, the shredded salad was doused in tzatziki (minimal cucumbers/onions) and three large falafels that were too big, couldn't easily cut and really dry. Of course I was too hungry and it was too late to do anything about it. The ladies who worked there were really nice, but was pretty bummed with the quality of the food I ordered. read more

This rating is actually for the Gyropolous located at Beehive (same owner). I always get food from this food truck while my wife and kids always walk down to the taco truck. Normally the food is really good, but lately it's gone downhill. I usually get the lamb gyro, or the lamb salad, and the last two times eating here they forgot my cheese. Also the dressing was rancid the last two times. The most recent visit the guy gave me hardly any salad, so I felt like I was eating a bowl of dry meat. I am not going to eat here anymore. y'all used TORTILLAS to make shawarma? wow. I'm kinda speechless. I'm no chef, but tortillas are not the normAl "bread" of choice for shawarma. and it does not work. Not at all. Went to this location at the Food Yard in Salem. Was disappointed by the food. Husband had a chicken shwarma wrap and I had the chicken shwarma salad. Meat seasoning didn't taste Greek to us at all. Tzatziki sauce didn't have any dill taste at all, no lemon, etc. Food tasted okay but the flavors just did not seem authentic Greek and for that reason it was very disappointing.
