Food was absolutely amazing. I had the lamb gyro as well as the teriyaki chicken. Everything was so fresh. The customer service is on point. Everyone is so kind and friendly. You order at the counter and they give you a number to put at your table and they will deliver your food to you. Food came out perfect and quick. Such a nice little place clean and there is even an upstairs that I believe is a bar. Definitely should check out when you're downtown Athens.

First time eating here. Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Additional seating upstairs. Great gyro, I got the original. The curly fries that come with it really stand out. They have the fry seasoning by the napkins and drink machine so you can use as much as you want.

Falafel pita wrap with curly fries & a tzatziki sauce on the side

I'm so happy to be review #1! I'm a new fan of this place since I never experienced the original one. I've eaten here more times than I'd like to admit since they've opened, pretty much weekly. I usually am really big into trying new things & testing everything but I have stuck to the falafel pita wrap because it is just SO good. I usually get the combo because I love any kind of potatoes and the curly fries are awesome. It's a lot of food for the price & always super fresh & high quality. I usually will get a tzatziki sauce on the side or ask for extra creamy feta so it's not as dry because sometimes a pita can be a mouthful. The fresh ingredients- onion, lettuce & tomato add a nice fresh kick to the wrap too. I can't comment on anything else but I am optimistic anything on the menu will be as good if not better than the falafel wrap. A must try in Athens!

Family of 4 in town to tour UGA. Stumbled across this little spot looking for lunch and we are so happy we did! We ordered the spicy gyro, signature gyro, Santa Fe chicken wrap, and a chicken Philly. Everyone was thoroughly satisfied with their choices. Food was hot and fresh tasting. Service was quick and friendly. The little "hole in the wall" vibe was on point for a small college town food spot. Very clean inside. 10/10 would recommend!

1/2 and 1/2 veggie cheese wrap with a side of curly fries, fountain drink, and feta dressing- a great lunch meal

It's backkkkkkkkkkkk, sorta. I walked into the newly opened and relocated Gyro Wrap nearly teary eyed. I have lamented the closing of the original place for several months. My review is based on the good ol' days and may not be relevant to you as the reader. The food was good and I suggest you grab a budget friendly meal there. Alums- keep reading I told the cashier that I was very excited and she nodded. She listened to my story of eating at Gyro Wrap since my college days in 1986. The place was tidy and clean... the smell of grease and the aged grilled in the window have been replaced by a menu overhead at the counter and a kitchen area behind plexiglass. I ordered my usual order- 1/2 and 1/2 cheese wrap with curly fries and a side of feta dressing. I nostalgically leaned in to my first bite with high expectations. The wrap fell apart in that bite- my criticism is that it wasn't wrapped tight enough. The fries were hot but yet served without salt or seasoning salt- there's a shaker in the dining area to add your own. It was almost there! The bathroom was spotlessly clean. Not an inch of banter about who to call for a good time or any other graffiti. There's a self serve soda machine and below it, a small freezer case filled with several King of Pop varieties. The pull to return is great

This is by far my new favorite staple place to stop by. The people are super chill and very polite. My respects to the people who take pride in their craft. The food is definitely worth more than it is priced. I'm going to say this, I ordered 6 combos, everything on the table was amazing. Everyone on the table finished their food and didn't feel bloated or heavy. We were all full, happy, and felt very lean afterwards. The vegetables were ripe, very fresh, and crunchy. The pita bread and tortillas did not taste like Arby's lol. I chose this over Chick fil a across the street. I say this because I generally don't like gyros. This was on another level. Great ambience and a very clean restaurant. Bottom, top, and outdoor tables were also available.

I am glad Gyro Wrap has returned to downtown Athens. Just as good as its predecessor with a better location.

We were immediately seated an enjoyed cocktails -- I had their version of a margarita. It was smokey but not overpowering. My friend enjoyed the sangria. We split the potatoes, cheese board and the gluten free chicken shawarma pizzette. The potatoes were the best and I really liked the cheeseboard too. The jam made the cheese flavors pop! For our entree we split the short rib which was perfect since it normally comes with two pieces. It was so flavorful and delicious. We didn't sty for dessert since we had a GymDawgs meet to get to and they seemingly didn't have a chocolate option. Great service. Great food and great drinks.

It took me a while to get a drink. Started with some tapas, the mushrooms, the potato's and the dates. The mushrooms were good but over battered. Could even tell you were eating mushrooms. The potatoes were not fully soft and lacked salt and flavor. The tomato spread on top also lacked flavor. The dates and manchengo cheese was just werid in presentation and hard to eat. We had to order bread, not something I'm used to especially with the tapas. Ordered the branzino for 2. Others ordered the steak and pork chops. The steak came out cold and the pork chop was overcooked. The branzino was nice, but the sides were cold. One of our party ordered another beer which he did not get until I summoned the manger over. All in all- overrated Food-1.5 Ambiance-meh Service-1

I actually attended UGA but I had never heard of this place before - perhaps because the prices aren't super college student-friendly, but I thought it was a nice local restaurant. They have several different kinds of chicken salad prepared, and I got the grape chicken salad in a sandwich. I don't think the bread is freshly-made but it was really good toasted. I selected a side of noodles which were also really tasty, which you can add peanuts to if you'd like but I opted not to. I also heard them talking about all sorts of desserts that they had made fresh that day. The entrance is really small so it might be easy to miss. They have tons of seating available so I'm sure you'd be fine if you brought a large group. They do also have internet but you have to ask them for the password. Note that I don't think this would be a good place to eat right now if you're trying to be cautious about COVID - no one's wearing masks and the food is out in the open.

It was crowded so I expected some delays. We sat outside, enjoyed great conversation, and appreciated the relaxed atmosphere while we waited. Unfortunately, one of their ovens went down during our visit, so our food took longer than expected. The staff handled it as best they could, and once the food arrived, it was definitely worth the wait. Our group tried a little bit of everything--wings, the Parmigiana Chicken Hoagie, garlic knots, and several pizzas. Bonus: they had a gluten free pizza option. The Walter White pizza was absolutely incredible, packed with flavor, and The Meathead lived up to its name--fully loaded with meat and delicious. Despite the delay, the variety, quality, and overall vibe made it a solid experience. We'll be back!
