Chicken platter

Large restaurant, counter order style. Lots of menu combinations so we were a bit overwhelmed but ended up with a gyro platter and a chicken platter along with a small bowl w/3 items - dolmas, hummus and falafel. They give you plenty of pita which is nice as many places are stingy! I really enjoyed my platter of gyro, rice, tzatziki, salad along with the vegetarian bowl we got. The hummus, falafel and tzatziki were exceptional! My husband liked his ok. Said the chicken didnt have enough flavor for him. For the amount of food and pricing it is a good deal and felt the quality and freshness was there!

The food was good. I had a combo salad bowl, lettuce, tomatoes, chicken and gyro lamb. Service was a little confusing. I have been to other places and they made right in front of me, not here. Not that it was a problem, just different.

Empty plate but an empty restaurant too. :/

Solid falafel. Really creamy tzatziki. I'm easy to impress but still, if you're a falafel person this is a solid spot. Place was a ghost town though. Texafied liminal space vibes but the food was great. Lol

They probably have the best hummus I've tasted in a longgggg time!! I ordered here for lunch and was blown away at how delicious the hummus was. We ordered via door dash and it actually came in a pretty reasonable time so I was happy about that. Fro my meal, I ordered the lamb gyro bowl which was a pretty good size. I enjoyed the meat as it was well seasoned but I would've preferred it just a little more shredded so it would be easier to break up. Overall it was pretty good and I would highly recommend.

I ordered a lamb gyro and it was delicious. I waited 18 minutes for it though. Simple counter service. Maybe 5 tables were there for lunch so not very crowded.

I can't believe Gyro Guys came to Friendswood!! Halal rice platters are delicious if you've never had them before! It's a very filling meal which includes basmati rice, salad, your choice of meat, and topped with their special white sauce and hot sauce if you choose. They serve traditional gyros as well or french fry platters, but I prefer the rice platters cause it feels a little more comforting and filling. This particular visit we tried their original lamb rice platter, the lamb/chicken combo platter, the tilapia rice platter, and a lamb shawarma to go. A large costs $11.99 and a small costs $7.99 and comes with pita bread on the side. A small is already very filling on its own, and a large can easily last you 2 meals. All the meats are very flavorful and you can tell have been marinaded for at least a day. I also particularly liked how fresh all the ingredients tasted, and the food comes out piping hot in only a couple minutes. Compared to other halal rice platter places in Houston, this Gyro Guys is a lot less greasy and cleaner. We will DEFINITELY be back very soon!

My go to is the small combo plate with extra spicy sauce. You can't miss with this place.

This was our first time trying this place and we were excited because we love Greek/Arabic food (having spent many years in those areas). However, when my husband asked how the leftovers packaging and pricing worked (it's a self-serve buffet), he was met with a snarl and disdain by the cashier who acted like my husband was an inconvenience for asking the question. When we finished our meal and returned to the cashier to check out with our leftovers, Snarl McSnarlson (the cashier), was even more aggressive towards me and my son. I reached for the receipt that printed after I selected a tip and tapped my card to pay but McSnarlson snapped, "That's for to-go orders!" And snatched the paper from the machine. I then inserted my card and the payment screen quickly changed to the Home Screen skipping the section to select a print, text, or email receipt. I asked McSnarlson if he canceled my receipt and he waved at the machine then snapped, "Was I not supposed to print your receipt?!?" I asked, "Do you have a problem?" And he yelled at me and my child again, "You asked for one and I printed it." I had not. My husband suggested we leave to avoid further escalation, and McSnarlson muttered, "Get the f*** out of my restaurant." as we were halfway through the door.

Drinks: my gf had an old fashioned, my friend and I got the petal punch and a fourth friend got a European beer I think and we all enjoyed our drinks. My friend and I agreed that the petal punch was the best cocktail we had both ever had. The lychee and mint is just PERF! Food: we tried as much as we could. The momos was yummy and came with a great sauce. The tandoori chicken drumsticks with the sauce, YUM. I knew it was going to be great. The veggie samosas were also wonderful. The mint chutney is my preference over the tamarind, but both were good. Chicken mungfali- 10/10 but wish it were a little spicier. Chicken korma- spicier than I thought but delicious 10/10. The Nutella samosas were the only thing that was disappointing. They were way crunchier than we expected. The picture of them made it look softer and flakier than it was. Especially with the price point of $16- was not worth it. Service: our server, Magic, was great to us and showed us all his faves. Inside: very lovey inside and very clean. Can't wait to come back again! I heard they have a lunch buffet but didn't see it on the menu. I need to do some research on that!

Best Bites takes you to Seabrook!…read more Today, while visiting my grandson, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Athena's Corner Greek Restaurant in Seabrook, and it was absolutely delicious! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm Mediterranean charm. The restaurant is beautiful, inviting, and filled with Greek-inspired décor. You can choose to dine inside or relax on their lovely outdoor patio. Our waitress, Rachel, was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. She made us feel right at home! We kicked off our meal with a couple of appetizers, and they were every bit as impressive as they were delicious. The hummus was smooth, creamy, and served with warm, fluffy pita bread. We also enjoyed the falafels--perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, and even better dipped in their spicy feta spread! For my entrée, I chose the Lunch Special featuring a savory spinach pie, served with a fresh Greek salad and a cup of their famous Avgolemono (Greek lemon soup) . It was light, comforting, and packed with flavor. My grandson ordered the Chickpea Salad , a dish he loved so much on a previous visit that he couldn't resist ordering it again. That's always a good sign! My husband selected the Stuffed Shrimp Special . The plate was absolutely beautiful--jumbo baked shrimp stuffed with a savory crab dressing, served over a bed of mushroom orzo. It tasted every bit as incredible as it looked! If you're ever in Seabrook, Texas, and you're craving something fresh, flavorful, and satisfying, I highly recommend Athena's Corner Greek Restaurant. You'll enjoy a relaxing atmosphere, outstanding hospitality, and food that's made with care and bursting with authentic flavor. Best Bites Approved! Have you been to Athena's Corner?
