Was in town on business and got in around lunchtime. I really enjoy Greek food, saw the good reviews and made a bee line for the restaurant. Had the lamb shawarma entree and wow do they give you a lot of food. Was really impressed with the amount of food but unfortunately I was disappointed with the flavor of the meat. I expected a lot more flavor and it was a little bland. The rice and salad that came with the entree were good. I am not sure that I would return. read more

I was a little offended when the owner greeted everyone that walked in but me so I ordered a sampler appetizer plate and a chicken Shawarma I expected the grape leaves to be homemade that's why I drove out of my way there but they were from a can the garlic sauce was disgusting but the tzatziki was amazing all in all it was average I'm used to going to South Paterson and getting some real live authentic Middle Eastern dishes I would eat there again but I'm in no rush !! read more

To start we go out to restaurants at least five times weekly. We have met some awesome owners who make you feel comfortable and make sure your dining experience is excellent. The owner of Gyro Grill is the most awesome owner we ever met. A trustworthy, caring and giving owner who sincerely cares about his customers. Their staff of young ladies are first class, extremely attentive, nothing but pleasant and they make sure your dining experience is excellent. This is what you expect when going out to dinner but some waiters and waitresses don't care.....not Gyro Grill's staff. The food is awesome. I had the lamb chops which were delicious and my wife had the chicken shawarma and the chicken was perfectly seasoned and tender. We just returned from Greece and when there frequent the best restaurants and best local spots, ....her chicken shawma was as good if not better than any gyro or soulvalki we had in Greece. Their prices are very reasonable and they are a BYOB! It's a causal atmosphere, nothing fancy. They now have new customers and my family and friends will also try them ..... and I'm sure they will not be disappointed! read more

This is my favorite place to come and get a gyro sandwich, their meat is tender and delicious, and they are super fast with bringing you out your meal I also like the fact that they keep bottles of white sauce and hot sauce in their refrigerator so you can squeeze as much sauce into your sandwich as you want, most places give you a bunch of little packages that are annoying to open and not enough of them sometimes and leaves you wanting more, here you get all the sauce that you want On top of the fact that the food is great here I also love the service, the owner Shlomo is one of the nicest people that I have ever met and is very welcoming and super funny The place overall is really clean especially their kitchen (I know this because i worked for ecolab and I've been back there) to me there is nothing more important than cleanliness in the place that makes the food that you consume, I give this place 5 stars. read more

One of the best falafels around! The owner assured us that they were made fresh with each order, not from frozen packets, and once you taste them you'll believe it! So glad we found this place for lunch because it has high marks in every category. Right away we were greeted with such friendly service from the owner. He seemed busy but as soon as we walked in, he dropped everything to make sure we had a pleasant stay. He even thanked us for coming to his restaurant as we sat down, which is unlike most places you eat at. The portions are great for what you pay (cheap) and the taste is so authentic. Like I mentioned, the falafels are amazing. Perfectly crispy and the inside is spot on. Came with a side of pickles and salad too. The "Yummy Platter" is the highlight of our visit, though. Ordered the chicken and was extremely pleased. Everything was served picture perfect, which unfortunately means that there is little white sauce on your dish. This review is strictly for takeout gyros. The gyros were stuffed with meat. I kind of liked that the pita wrapped around the meat, veggies, and sauce, but it did not hold up well. For once, I thought there was too much meat. Flavor was a bit off too. When I walked in on a rainy weekday to pick up, another customer was already inside. As I walked out, another customer was coming in. The place is busy, and I thought phone and in person service was good. For the main course, my guest ordered the chicken kabob and rice as a side. She said the rice was sitting by the fire in December, while the chicken kabobs were a walk in the neighborhood (we like our neighborhood). I had a Mediterranean salad with gyro meat.
