Went here with my girlfriend to get some lunch and we were craving some Mediterranean food and we saw some great reviews and had to check this out. We entered and the head of the restaurant was very busy but attentive and got our orders fast and out to our tables quickly. The owner popped out and from witnessing his energy he seems like a genuinely nice owner who cares for his patrons and the experience they have dining at his restaurant. The food came out in huge portions for an amazing price. We went for the Yummy Platters both being chicken and mine with the spicy rice. This was delicious. It reminded me of my great aunts Afghan cooking with the spices and I fell in love. The food tasted fresh and the meat was all so perfectly seasoned and tender. I ate as much as I could before I wanted to explode but I kept going back for more. My girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed it as well. As for the Baba Ganuj it was def not our type of dip and would prefer the humus but I'm glad I gave it a shot. I'd definitely recommend this place and I plan on coming back very soon. read more

Love the owner but his workers really should listen to the customers needs . I asked for a well done kofte kebab and mentioned it more than once to please make sure it's well done and I still got it with pink meat . I'm not sure what was more amazing, the quality of the food or the very friendly owner that made sure we were having the best experience ever. We really enjoyed the lamb and chicken kabobs, the chicken shawerma, the hummus and baba ghanouj. If you're looking for a delicious and affordable option on the menu, try the yummy platter. The rice they serve with that is delicious and it comes topped with tzatziki sauce (which is really good here). You really can't go wrong with this place. read more

I ordered food from a seafood place next door. When I got there the seafood place was not open. I went in Gyro Grill to get the info. The guy at the register was very helpful. He called the owner of the seafood place for me. I ended up getting turkish coffee and a desert pastry. He did not charge me. He might feel bad I had to drive 40 mins to get the food. I live in Wayne and I have ordered here before for takeout. I had some work done on our house so we had to stay at the Marriott across the street. I ordered some food for my wife and I and was coming to pick it up. The owner was extremely nice- I asked him if I could order some Baklava and 2 waters. He said sure. I waited to try and pay as I had already paid for my other food. He said just take it and have a good night. It was very shocking to see appreciation like that from people nowadays. We were referred to the Gyro Grill by family and had to try it out. Actually came from Clifton to there spot in Wayne then home to Lincoln Park...well worth it!! Upon entering, we were hereby the gentleman owner who was pleasant and friendly . We ordered the Kibbe app, baba ghanoush app, chicken kebob sandwich and beef gyro sandwich and side of spicy rice. Think I've been here three times now, all for take-out. I've had two platters, two sandwiches, soup, and two 'dips.' All have been delicious. The folks behind the counter are super friendly too! One of the times I picked up, I left without my order of hummus. I called when I got home and they said, yes, I had left before it came out. No problem. Just remind us next time. Next time came, I reminded them, and they put the order right in the bag, no questions asked. First time there, they gave me a first time there discount. The 'Yummy' platters come with a choice of rice. Get the spicy one. Very tasty, and not spicy hot at all. The falafel sandwich is packed with falafel and salad. My favorite in the area! Hummus and Baba Gannoush were both delicious. So, good food, friendly service and reasonable prices make for a five-star review. I'll keep going back! read more

While I don't usually leave reviews on establishments, I found it was necessary to leave a review on the service and the food from my visit to Gyro Grill last night. I went last night to pick up dinner for my family and was so appreciative of the amazing service by the owner and all employees. I've never been here before so I had a few questions regarding the menu and they literally explained everything in full detail and even threw in extra dinner for my daughter who wanted chicken nuggets and french fries. Everything was hot, crispy and very flavorful. Portion size was more than I expected and I can gladly say I will be returning here more often. read more

This food was so good that I left only 2 min ago and I'm already writing the review! The gyro meat melts in your mouth and the sauce is just amazing. Add some spicy sauce and you're in HEAVEN!!
