I come here from time to time. The service is great and food is quick. The yummy platter is truly yummy! The lettuce and tomatoes all look and taste fresh. I highly recommend this place. It's definitely worth the price and the serving is large, as well. Great portions! read more

This food was so good that I left only 2 min ago and I'm already writing the review! The gyro meat melts in your mouth and the sauce is just amazing. Add some spicy sauce and you're in HEAVEN!! My husband had the yummy bowl and we still don't know if his bowl or my gyro was better! I'm from Chicago and we have great gyro restaurants but this one tops them all! When and if ever I come back to NJ, I'm coming right back here! read more

AMAZING food! Owner is super nice. Great food. Great customer service. A definite YES every tine!

Stopped by for dinner after doing a yelp search. So glad I found this place! The food was excellent. The service was great and the white sauce is phenomenal! The yummy platters are a great deal giving you the choice of rice, protein and salad. The chicken kebabs are delicious and have ordered these platters for get togethers. Gyro grill does catering which comes in handy for those last minute get togethers. Shlomo, the owner, is one of a kind and he always takes the time to get to know his customers. That's very special! Keep doing a great job!! read more

For years people in Wayne have had to go to Greek restaurants like Zorba and Opa to get Gyros that weren't even good. Now we have Gyro Grill that has amazing food besides gyros. What I've Gotten: *Kibbeh: Lebanese beef footballs = heaven *Yummy Platter: I usually get Spicy Rice and a maim of 1/2 Falafel, 1/2 Chicken. It's great *Beef and Chicken Shawarma Sandwich: Basically a middle eastern burrito! read more

Love Gyro Grill. The food is really good, the servings are ample and the prices are fair. The owner is very friendly. My favorite is the lamb. read more

This place is absolutely delicious. I believe that it is BYOB since I saw a couple enjoying glasses of wine while dining. I got the yummy beef platter over salad (see photo) with a falafel appetizer. It was a significantly large portion and very cheap for what I received. The white sauce makes the dish. The falafel is home made and freshly cooked, super crispy and amazing. I chopped it up and put it all over my platter. The owner (or what appeared to be the owner) WAS SO NICE IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE. I was at first hesitant / scared to ask for extra white sauce on the side since I'm usually somewhat shy in requesting things at restaurants, but he was unbelievably welcoming and nice when he responded. He also shouted to us while we were leaving, making sure to thank us for coming in. Great service, amazing food. Definitely check it out. read more

Small eat or take out kind of place. Friendly staff. I only saw 1 gyro on the menu. I've only been there twice some months ago but it made a positive impression. The 1st time was for a gyro to go. The 2nd time was with my wife for a late lunch. Had a chicken dish with rice. It was spicy but very good. Would go again. read more

Great prices, good food. Staff is great and owner is a genuinely friendly guy. I love the Yummy Platter, portion is very large

Not easy to get a great lunch for $10 but that's all I paid for delicious hummus and very tasty lentil soup. I will be back again soon!

Used to be better quality. Quality has gone down hill. Ordered takeout. Not enough salt, meat was under cooked, bit too pink. Had ordered Hummus and Pita bread. Got home and no Pita included? read more

My husband and I were looking for a local restaurant to try, and we agreed on Gyro Grill. And we were so happy we did! When I picked up our food, we were greeted by an incredibly friendly man behind the counter who thanked me for coming in. He told me to grab some sauces from the cooler on my way out, so I did. I just regret I didn't grab more! We split an order of the Kibbe as an appetizer, I had a beef schawerma sandwich, and my husband had a lamb schawerma sandwich. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and the white sauce was incredible! Like I said, I should've grabbed more. We will most definitely be back! read more

Amazing service, owner , chicken is the most delicious , every dish was great, hummus the best I ever had

My team from the Daily News came here to try the food as it's been recommended by hundreds of folks. The results were exceptional. The cold appetizers which is my love were outstanding, especially the BABAGANOUJ, best in the business/ Catering packages are reasonable and the CHICKEN SHAWERMA a must try as is the marvelous YUMMY PLATTER only $8.99, I suggest the FALAFEL and the CHICKEN SHISH KABOB & don't leave without trying the ORANGE CAKE & homemade BAKLAVAH. read more

Shlomo is the nicest man. He always personally greets me each time and knows my order, Chicken Platter, spicy rice, no salad. The food is excellent, fresh, rice is spicy but not over the top, chicken is big chunks of white meat chicken, it usually takes me 2-3 servings to finish. Tonight I am trying the Hummus and cant wait, I am sure it is going to be great. Great owner, great food, reasonable prices, let's make sure this business stays around for a long time, Support Local!!!! read more

There's not much food options or varieties in my town other than the local diners and the food court at the nearby mall. Stopped by after seeing their sign while driving to work. The place is super new so the interior is very clean and looks like it is kept clean which is always a good thing. The two owners of the place are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. They greet you the second you walked though their doors. They will guide you though any questions you have about their food and make sure it comes out the way you want it to. I have been here a handful of times now and usually always get the same thing. I get the yummy platter which is basically your choice of meat (chicken, gyro, or both) and rice (normal or spicy) along with some fresh veggies. I'm a combo and spicy rice kind of guy. If you have been to NYC, it is basically just like Halal Guys but better. Most people I see get their house special white sauce but I opt out of that as any kind of white sauce usually frightens me. I am told that the sauce is amazing from the owners and the other customers but it is just not for me! Regardless, the food is great. Their chicken is just fantastic with all the spices it is marinated with and how juicy it is when you bite into it but something about the gyro meat tops the chicken for me. The meats along with the spicy rice and veggies just puts me in a happy mood. Gyro Grill tops Halal Guys for me as the food here seems to be made with more care and love then at HG. They are still good but they are a franchise not a local Ma and Pa shop like Gyro Grill so the effort just isn't the same. Wayne is lucky to have this place and I hope it stays around for awhile. I'll be back very soon again! read more

I decided to try this place out and was looking forward to a falafel sandwich. I will never know since no one helped me to take my order. It wasn't very busy. Only a couple of people were waiting to get their orders. No one acknowledgement that I was even there. Update (7/25): I finally had a chance to try out Gyro Grill again. I was greeted by Randy (the owner). He was very friendly and made me feel welcomed. I had a falafel sandwich and fries and they were very good. I look forward to my next opportunity. read more
