In response to Gym Doctor's caustic editorial, the machine was seen for maintenance only. After their visit(s) there was a bolt on the floor. There is a part that is literally not attached. There were broken covers which I (not the Gyrm Doctors) organized receiving from the manufacturer, which I paid for, and they did NOT fit. After the Gym Doctors visits, there was a dramatic increase in noise and vibration. They converted a working machine albeit with the wrong grease on it to one that I can barely use. read more

The tech game out to do a Nordic Trak treadmill "tune-up", although the device was working great. (after I did a software update with iFit) After the tech left, the screen said I have to reboot to use it. Argh He came out again, and he said he did another software update. After he left the 2nd time, the screen wouldn't even respond to my touch! Argh!! Again, the device was working GREAT before thech came out. I called Gym Doctors to complain, and the not-very-welcoming-nor-engaging manager said it's got nothing to do with the tech, or words to that effect. Everything went spectacularly well with the move of two rather large cumbersome elliptical machines from one residenial address to another. Daniel showed up with a big friendly smile, right on time and that smile and disposition did not leave till he did. He was professional, very accommodating very respectful of everything and everyone. Courtesy of the pandemic, I now have a home gym. Part of the setup is a Proform HIIT trainer. It worked beautifully for a couple of years and then started creaking a little bit eventually becoming as loud enough to hear on the next floor even with the door closed. Gym Doctors to the rescue. I wish my real doctor was this good! After about 2 years of running on our home tread, I started experiencing some issues ranging from stops/starts to full on malfunctioning. I had no clue where to go, found these guys and gave them a call. First time I've ever called a place for a gym related repair. The office staff was nice, well informed and very easy to talk to. They immediately reviewed availability and confirmed a tech for me the next day. For someone like me who has a jam packed daily work schedule, being on time is very important. In this case, the tech arrived at the scheduled time, SHARP! I was immediately somewhat relieved. They went on to quickly inspect, diagnose, repair and test the machine. They even cleaned the treat after. I was honestly amazed. Couldn't have thanked them enough. The best customer service and the highest character I have seen in a while. The short version is that they will take care of you like family and are clearly not just trying to get at your wallet. Here is the longer version. I have a Precor Elliptical that I purchased in 2004 and it has been doing great for the past 17 years. Recently one of the wheels started squeaking. I ordered a new wheel but since I figured I would end up need a repair I emailed several vendors on Yelp. Daniel got back to me right away and explained possible issues and said the wheel change may help and he also suggested some other interventions if the new wheel was not helpful. The new wheel did the trick, but I am aware that this will probably not last a whole lot longer so I decided to ask for his advice on my next purchase (I figured he would know what machine does not break down frequently). He provided me with excellent advice. I am so impressed that in this day and age when some vendors will charge you for simple things Daniel was willing to go above and beyond to give me advice and it did not benefit him or his company. Companies like this that value customer service over profits are rare and I am sure that they treat all of their customers like family. read more

Paid $150 to get 3 costway treadmills (branded as SuperFit walking pads). One of them I unscrewed the belt tightening bolt and couldn't screw it back in, the other two treadmills weren't running smoothly. After drilling off the treadmills and waiting a week, I came back to find that the treadmills were running a bit smoother but the fundamental issues still persisted. To be fair, gym doctors told that my type of treadmills would be difficult to fix, but I am still slightly disappointed that the tune up didn't fix the smoothness issue. I also thought I'd be charged $100 since one of the treadmills only needed a bolt screwed back in. Giving three stars because the treadmills have improved but definitely wasn't worth the cost to tune them up in my point of view read more

I purchased a used treadmill and elliptical machine over the holidays and both machines were in need of a tune-up and cleaning. I called around to several different service centers but hardly any of them offered mobile service to my area. When I called Gym Doctors, I was greeted by Daniel, who scheduled an appointment for me for today. I was told that a technician would arrive between 2-4 PM. Today, Chad showed up around 3:00 PM and promptly got to work on my equipment. He was friendly, professional, and efficient. The treadmill was filthy inside the motor unit and the belt needed some adjustments. I tested his work out immediately afterwards and the treadmill worked great! He worked on the elliptical machine next. Being that it is an older Proform model, it was harder to take apart because of the plastic parts. He worked patiently and removed each part carefully, cleaned the machine, and lubricated all of the joints. There was still a little play in one of the joints afterwards due to normal wear & tear but otherwise, the elliptical ran smoothly and sounded great. The last item he repaired was an aluminum rack for my Powerblock free weights. That took about five minutes. All of these repairs cost around $200, which is a fair price considering the circumstances. I feel that this service was a good value and I am grateful I did it. I can expect many more years of use out of this equipment thanks to Chad's hard work. Overall, this was an outstanding experience because Chad repaired the equipment efficiently and educated me about necessary routine maintenance and how to increase the longevity of this equipment. I am highly satisfied with Gym Doctors and applaud their business model. They are easy to get ahold of and pride themselves on customer service. If you are in need of home or commercial fitness equipment repair or service, contact Gym Doctors. I will definitely use them again if I have any future service needs. Gym Doctors kept my previous Octane elliptical in excellent working condition for 10 years. Booking a service visit has always been efficient and pleasant, techs arrive on time and are hugely knowledgeable about the equipment they service, plus they've frequently gone above and beyond during a visit by proactively addressing minor mechanical issues that would have eventually turned into a problem. Pricing is very reasonable, particularly considering the quality of the service. When the previous elliptical finally bit the dust last month (a leg sheared off due to metal fatigue!), I purchased its replacement through Gym Doctors -- a business that treats its customers this well deserves the support. Special shout-out to Emil for walking me through the current crop of Octanes and helping me decide which model would best fit my needs. I'm so grateful to GymDoctors! I originally called to find out whether they could install a treadmill I was considering buying. The answer was yes, but first the owner, Daniel, spent a long time with me on the phone asking questions about my needs and then making recommendations about which one to buy and even counseling me to maybe not buy one at all since I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy it and he's seen enough sad treadmills used as clotheslines. Once I was certain I wanted to buy one we discussed what they offered for sale and chose the perfect treadmill for me (inexpensive but still could do everything I needed). He was able to schedule it for delivery within a week. He and a technician assembled it where I asked for it to be placed, made sure everything was working properly and showed me how to operate it. I was very happy with their pre-and post sale service. Then, four months later I realized I was unhappy with the location I chose for the treadmill and called to schedule them to come back and move it. They made it really easy for me and were extremely considerate, meticulous and professional during the move. Emil was great on the phone and in person and his colleague was extremely efficient. Together they got the machine disassembled, moved and reassembled in an hour and also at my request gave me a demo on how to clean and lube the belt. They really are fantastic and it's such a relief to deal with pros instead of random, clueless delivery company bozos who are clueless who have delivered, assembled and installed other products. 3.5 stars. Dan actually WAS the person I spoke to on the phone. Echo some of the other comments around tone when speaking to people. I understand some personalities don't mesh well together and some people are just less well received in the service industry. Luckily for Gym Doctors - they have good technicians and will do their best to rectify issues. Walter was my technician. We identified some electrical issues, and some draw issues with my cat hair laden motor and belt alignment problems. Unfortunately, a squeak emerged after the first visit. Despite not being the most friendly on the phone, I've got to give Dan credit for offering to send Walter back out to fix the squeak at no charge. Walter was kind, empathetic, quick, and identified parts that might be needed in the future if the squeak returned. All in all, Dan is a stand up guy and runs a stand up business, despite our suboptimal phone conversation. Thanks for getting my machine back up and running. read more

From my perspective, I received A+ (exceptionally good) advice and support from Daniel and Emil of the Gym Doctors. The belt of my old treadmill of 10 years plus stopped any attempt of movement, so I called the Gym Doctors for service. Upon explanation from Daniel, it appeared that a repair might be $1,000 plus. I asked about the price of a new one. The quoted price was less than I imagined, and very reasonable. From then on, things went quickly, and before I knew it, I had a new treadmill that included installation and removal of the old treadmill. The installation went smoothly without a hitch. They gave me a tutorial on the new machine that included all the features that I've never had before. And, they did the installation on a Saturday, even though they are normally open Monday - Friday. I highly recommend the Gym Doctors, and especially Daniel and Emil! They are excellent at diagnosing a problem, providing expert advice so you can make an informed decision, installing the fitness device you need, and removing the old equipment as part of the installation service. Great service! If you need your gym equipment repaired, call these guys. So our treadmill went out, I had no idea what the problem was. My other half thought it was the motor, I decided to call these guys cause they're near where I live and they had some good reviews. I call, the person who gets my call is very informative and gives me all the options to get me going. They can come to your place and fix your item there. Or they can pick-up and take to the shop or you can drop off. I decided to drop off. When I went into the office, I was greeted by a friendly Customer Service rep and she got me going right away. When I dropped off, I got help with the unloading of the treadmill. There was very little lifting on my part. I dropped off cause it is cheaper and I have a pick up truck. I dropped off and right off the bat the Owner knew what it was. This tells me he knows what he's doing. He gives me the run down, he'll call the warranty people, which is him getting in touch with the treadmill brand Customer Service to get the motor. Apparently, many treadmills have a 10 year warranty for certain parts like the motor. He calls and orders the part but the part is shipped to my house cause I am the owner of the item. After I get the part I deliver it to the shop. Right after this happens, my treadmill is ready and good as new! The cost to repair was way low! I was almost thinking of just throwing out my treadmill and getting a new one to not deal with the whole repair cost but seriously, if you need a fitness equipment repaired, come here, you won't be disappointed! read more

I've been looking for a Tuff Stuff CXT 200 for a while. Went to a local home gym store here in Sonoma County. They had them but charged extra for the attachments and said that the price I see cannot be lowered because the manufacture will not allow it. I felt that I was being misinformed. They said if I don't believe them try to find a better deal online. So I did. I spoke with Daniel at Gym Doctors and found out that the price can be lowered and all the attachments are included in his low price. But wait, it gets better, Daniel himself came out to install it with a co worker. They set it up in a couple of hours with no problems. Now for the good part, I saved over $2000 dollars dealing with Daniel and Gym Doctors. Five stars doesn't do them justice. I highly recommend Gym Doctors! So my schwinn airdyn monitor started acting up and then went out all together so I loaded it up and drove down to Gym doctors where I was met by Emil...I explained the problem to him when he ask me " have you checked the batteries" ?..It was that moment when you realize YOU are the idiot and was almost hoping it was something broken just to avoid the embarrassment..well for good or bad it was not...Emil was great about it did not charge me...They will always have my or anyone I know business ..He was really a great guy and there was the definite sense that they do honest business here and are not just trying to get in your pocket...highly recommended !! read more

Our 10 year old treadmill started vibrating and I thought it was bearings. So after looking at reviews, I called Gym Doctors. My experience was mostly very positive. They provided up front costs and charged me exactly what they said they would do. That in and of itself was excellent. And someone answered the phone when I called. And the guy who showed up to work on the machine wore a mask and gloves exactly as promised. The bearings did indeed need to be replaced. The unit itself was no longer available so I was called and given options one of which was that they would replace the bearings but were not 100% sure of the result. I appreciated the candor and told them to go ahead. I almost downgraded the review to 'good'. This happened because I had to call them and ask what happened when the repair seemed to be taking too long. I got an embarrassed response which told me it had slipped out of sight. In the end, I left it at 5 stars (rather than 4.5 which I wanted to award) because everyone makes mistakes and the rest of what was done was excellent. But the work was done promptly afterwards, the installation was accompanied by cleaning and oiling the belt which I had not expected and the final charge was exactly as promised. Saw ad online for gym doctors checked the reviews . Emailed them over the weekend had a respond first thing on Monday . Set an appointment for same week . Zach came out right on time today . Not only fixed the treadmill but cleaned off our other gym equipment in the garage. Was very knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone with equipment issues.
