We had a great experience with Daniel and Pro Tech Gym Service. He came to our home to diagnose the issue, quickly saw the problem, took care of all the logistics (ordering parts, communicating with the manufacturer, etc.) and returned with the new part to quickly make the repair. The whole process took a reasonable time frame, especially since it fell during the holidays. He was a bit hard to hear back from at first, which keeps the review from being a perfect 5/5. You see people complain that they can't get a hold of these people and you think "maybe they're doing something incorrectly." Nope. It's true. They do not respond. I tried emailing them multiple times from the email listed right there clearly on their website as they way to get a hold of them. No response. Emailed again "I just want to be clear - you don't respond to emails?" Still nothing. We're close and just wanted to find out how much the treadmill repair service is. I guess they're doing so well they don't need the business. In my book when a company goes out of their way to ignore your requests for information via the way they want you to request it, something is terribly off. I'd avoid this place. Again - refuses to respond to "how much to fix a treadmill" emails. Honestly, if you don't want to fix a treadmill, than take 15 seconds out of your busy life and respond and simply say "we don't want your business" and everyone goes on with their life. But the ignoring of people who want to give them money is for the birds. The couple other treadmill services I emailed responded right away. Maybe their prices or services weren't what we were looking for - but they understand when someone emails your company about your service, you respond. And if you look at the "good" reviews here for this company, they are many years old. Is this place even in business anymore? There are a few other good treadmill repair services in the Bay Area. I called and left a message and 3 days later, my Treadmill was completely serviced, recalibrated, and almost like new. Daniel was the best! Three weeks went by, never bothered returning any of my messages, with which a simple question was asked "What are your rates for treadmill repair?" This business lacks common decency, consideration and based on that, I'm sure a whole lot more that I am fortunate to not have found out exactly what. Pro Tech came out to service all of the equipment in my busy health club. They did a phenomenal job! They showed up right on time, got straight to work, and were finished with all of the equipment in our 5000 square foot gym within 2 and hours! Aside from the sound of their vacuum cleaner, I had no idea they were even there! I was concerned about the impact their cleaning would have on the members of the cub, but they were so efficient and were barely noticed. They were very knowledgeable and were able to let us know about some pieces of equipment that needed some extra attention and potentially needed to be replaced. I found this company after reading the strong reviews on Yelp. I needed a brand new treadmill I purchased moved from my front door where the delivery company left it (400 lbs) to the basement. I also needed it assembled. Daniel, the owner, called me back the same day and came out here the next morning. Within an hour he moved the treadmill down the stairs with one other guy, set the whole thing up, showed me how to use it and cleaned up all the boxes. Both of them were very professional, courteous, reliable and they were reasonably priced. I will definitely recommend this company to all my friends and family with similar needs and will definitely be using them again! They were outstanding! read more

I had a great experience with this company. I received quick responses to my questions via Yelp and when I set up an appointment for service, they were able to come only a couple days later! One place I had contacted previously did not have any availability until 5 weeks later! Also, the prices were reasonable compared to other companies. One in particular wanted to charge around $179 just to come to my home, plus hourly labor. Of course if parts were involved there would be a cost for that. Then it would be another $179 to make the house call again, plus the hourly labor fees. I could almost buy a new treadmill for that price! No thank you!! Not with these guys though! They showed up promptly at the appointment time (and even called ahead when they were a few minutes away). They quickly jumped right to work on the treadmill and it was back to perfect condition in under 30 minutes! I paid less than the $179 house call from the other company! On top of it all, the two guys were very friendly and knowledgeable. When I need maintenance on my treadmill again, I will for sure call them...and you should too! read more

Daniel, owner of Pro Tech Gym Service is amazing. I finally ordered a treadmill for my home, after putting it off for years. The delivery guy would only take it as far as my front door. So there was a giant 200 lb box in front of my place, and of all things, rain on the horizon (during the worst drought in CA). In a panic, I called a bunch of gym equipment service companies. Many did not get back to me, and those who did, would only help with the setup, but not help get the treadmill inside. Then I phoned Pro Tech Gym Service, and spoke to Daniel. He made a special appointment for me, moved the treadmill inside, set it up and showed me how to use it in an hour. Daniel was so friendly, courteous, and professional. Spoke with Daniel on Monday 1/18 to finally get my star trac pro fixed for my wife. We spoke and ran down what the issues were and he seemed very knowledgable in diagnosing the problem over the phone. From there he let me know the cost of the replacement unit and fee for home visit and set me up for an appointment on Friday 1/22/16. On Wednesday Daniel texted me to let me know the part didn't ship out as he thought and if we could reschedule. He asked about potentially getting the work done on Monday 1/25/16 I told him I worked from home Friday to ensure I was home when he came for our appointment and that Monday would not work for me. Daniel then let me know that he would do it on Saturday and would text me on Friday to let me know and confirm. Daniel then texted me to confirm on Saturday morning for a 10 AM fix. Daniel showed up a little after 10 AM and fixed my treadmill, the price he quoted was spot on the work he did was excellent I definitely want him to service my treadmill regularly thank you Daniel for making this an easy transaction. read more

The tech who came to my house to service my treadmill is also the business owner. He visited twice, once to diagnose the problem and the second time to replace the necessary part. Both times he was prompt and personable, and I also appreciated that he was upfront with his fees and charged me a flat rate that he had previously disclosed on the phone. I had a hard time finding someone who could move my Freemotion treadmill due to it's size and our movers tried and failed and I needed to be out of my place asap. After contacting the dealer where I purchased the treadmill, they gave me a list of local service techs who might be able to assist. One offered to disassemble and assemble with servicing, but not move it, another couldn't book anything asap as he required 3 guys to do the job, as a separate service guy would be needed to re-assemble, and lastly, there was ProTech.... The actual service guys/owner are the ones who do the moving. It was just the two of them and they were on time, careful and efficient. Now my treadmill is running and sounding smoother than before. I just wish when I googled treadmill movers, the search engine pulled these guys up, it would've saved me a step in finding them. I'll definitely use them again on my next move. read more
