He was able to provide a date and time frame when a technician can come look at my treadmill. I sent him the video of the issue and treadmill brand. He also provided a quote for the service. My treadmill was making squeaking and rushing sounds when used. It seemed misaligned or caught onto something. It was internal issue and I was no expert on figuring out what it was. A few days later Tim arrived, he texted me 15 minutes before which was greatly appreciated. He assessed the issue and not only did he fix the issue, he even fixed what a previous tech did to my treadmill. My treadmill was originally seen by a Nordictrack outsourced tech to replace my belt and battery back in November 2025. After Tim corrected the lazy method the previous tech made, I had regrets of going through Nordictrack in the first place. I should have just went with Gym Guards when I first came across them on Yelp. Tim gave me advice on future maintenance I can do to my treadmill i.e. lubricant application after 150 miles, as well as using an Allen wrench when it comes to tightening my walking belt. Tim was a perfectionist and didn't leave till he checked the treadmill thoroughly. He actually spent a decent time making sure the issue was fixed, treadmill was stable, and no other problems arose as he let the treadmill run. Definitely worth getting your equipment checked by them.

Can't give it 5 Stars, though. Would love to, but this place has more items missing price tags than Grocery Outlet! Mentioned it to a couple of the employees, one replied there are "some items" where that is true ( more than some ), and another assured me that the items I was referring to had price tags on them. Yeah, No! At least in the energy bars / nutrition / protein powders / hydration packs, etc. department. Yes, there are some stickers designating price / bar and price / box, which IS helpful, then...a row or two or three of suddenly no price tags. And look at it this way, if you're going to put in the effort to label containers with expiration dates like "5/27" ( which seems like the store did in the spirit of good customer service ), then you CAN actually make the effort to clarify to the customer what item is what price. ( Why does this seem like basic Common Sense here, and if managers are not on top of this problem, then that is on them. I spent too much time walking the aisles, trying to find pricing, asking for help to scan items, discovering more things without pricing. Fix that problem ASAP. Or install a scanner in parts of the store for customers to utilize on their own. ) Overall, check out the store. Here's another reason why: I observed (2) separate employees, one younger 20's male in the running shoe department, one latter 20's female in the ski boot department, personally attending to customers, giving their input on products, doing some old-school sales and persuasion. I ordered Meta glasses for same-day pickup. I was in a rush when I picked them up, so I didn't inspect the box until I got home -- that part was my fault. At first I assumed maybe the glasses just come in a different type of box, but once I opened it, I realized something was off. There was no charging case, and instead the glasses were stuffed into a cheap cloth case. Big red flag! I examined the glasses closely and saw the words "Not for sale." I was so mad! I had paid $400 for the Meta Wayfarer transitional glasses, only to end up with a display pair. I've been a loyal Dick's customer for years, I can't believe I got scammed! I drove all the way back to the store and calmly explained what happened. The male employee helping me was shocked but very helpful. The manager said it looked like an employee may have swapped the glasses and that she would be checking the cameras. She offered to order it for me, but I wanted it the same day so I opted for a refund. Now I'm down $400 until it gets refunded on my card. I ended up purchasing an authentic pair at Macy's instead. The old lady that works there was unexpectedly rude during an unprompted interaction. With no eye contact or interaction between us she walked up to be and began speaking to me. When I looked up I was just confused because I wasn't even sure she was talking to me or the other person who also walked up next to me on the other side. When I didn't respond her attitude escalated and she spoke to me in a condescending, "talking at" manner, as if I didn't understand English. The completely unprovoked rudeness was so unwarranted.

It was then super easy and helpful to narrow down on the treadmill I needed. Treadmills are pretty heavy and we don't normally change them often. I think a good guidance is the key here, so we can focus on other things in life. He also recommended me to install a dedicated 20W power outlet for the longevity of machine (which was as per the manufacturer's recommendation) and a good quality mat with link to purchase from. I see how he cares for the customer and provides valuable data for us to decide on. Chris also offered me a good price for trading in my old treadmill. The price is unbeatable. All treadmills are serviced and as good as brand new for a fraction of the price. I did walk in to a showroom for a brand new machine which was much more expensive (after all discounts) for a lower level model. Chris also came by twice to install the treadmill and then the mat, as the mats were not in yet. I can't thank Chris enough for this machine. There is also warranty coverage and service available after the warranty expires. That's a complete package I would say.
